The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

First of all, the monumental feat of airmanship while landing the (massive) C-17 on Scilly Isles' EGHE Runway...🙂...see Andy's post...should be something to seriously reckon with...🙂... Andy says it took several attempts, but surely, he has nailed it on his final attempt. And, if one can do it once, one will probably be able to repeat it without as much difficulty...being already familiar with the terrain and approach features of this unique airport. Anyway, after viewing that post I felt encouraged to try, for myself, a landing into the other (north) Runway of EGHE (Andy had landed on the west Rwy 27; see the overhead image below (shot #3) of the crisscrossing (09/2…

Hi all, came from Belfast here and from the island to the coast and a little south to Lancaster. Before I could land it I had to interrupt because of real life. There are some people in real life who are absolutely not interested in flight simulation, I cannot understand that...🙂 Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi simmers 😃 ..as it was in the good old FSX days ?? We will see what the future says, perhaps all the aircraft that CS have now provided for the MSFS in the form of good exterior models will now gradually be joined by the matching good cockpits - that would be great ! If you want to see the shots in the best resolution then please click on the picture !! cheers 😉

So now we'll set off from KLGA in our nice new Hercules. Oh what fun I'm having <grin> There she is, waiting patiently Starting up Moving out and away! Weather clearing as we move off north up the Hudson And on the western side of the river, just below the nose, is Nyack. A fine place to visit, and probably to live, too, with a really attractive arty enclave of shops and such down towards the river. I remember several very good secondhand-book shops there, where I picked up quite a few little gems on my two or three visits. I seem to remember that maybe the Prudential…

Got this to replace my original FeelThere version. This version is quite magnificent, for my tastes. Beautifully modelled and nicely detailed, it really does create the vibe of a newly built/refurbished set of buildings. You can almost smell the paint drying. And the surrounding setting is quite splendid as well. I have a very full set of addons for the whole NYC-Long Island area (airports, bridges, DD's city, and other bits and pieces) and this is a very welcome addition to that environment. With the whole lot enabled and a heli or similar it all makes for a very realistic tour. Given my taste for ground level details, I spent several hours just droning around this …

OK, here is another "Bliss" themed post of mine...🙂...I recall the last one was "40 miles of Bliss" in a SAS DC-3 over Sweden's hills and pastures, and here it is "20 miles of Bliss" (but no less "blissful") over the beautiful waters of English Channel, flying between two of the major Channel Islands, in a modern TBM-930 turboprop, in the colors of Aurigny Air. Now, locally around Chicago, as the temperatures are warming up for Spring, and the trees are beginning to blossom with delightful flowers and leaves, the birds (and the squirrels) can be easily spotted frolicking around, having emerged out of their long winter hibernation. Yesterday, I noticed an unusual (red…

As a tribute to the ANZAC's, I had a flight over the Australian memorial at Villers-Bretonneux, France in the Jenny. They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old.

This post is triggered, by a member suggestion, on my Channel Islands (Aurigny Air) post, to also explore the (charming) Isles of Scilly, just about 40 miles (south and west) of (England's) Land's End. It's to be noted that Lizard Point maybe the most southerly point in mainland Great Britain, but it's St Agnes Island of the Isles of Scilly (which we're visiting today) is the southernmost part of England and the entire United Kingdom, edging out Lizard's Point by barely about 4 miles of oceanic water, further southward. Isles of Scilly, the geography of which I've now a fairly good idea, thanks to the member suggestion, has 5 main islands (see my (superposed) VFR MAP…

This is about the closest you'll get to me flying an airlner in the sim hehe. I've been known to fly an actual airline once in a blue moon. I also don't like the typical big airport to big airport so I'm doing a private BBJ flight from Rockford IL to Queens (LaGuardia) NY. The route is KRFD ETG MIP4 KLGA at FL410 - did about 440 KTAS with a nice tailwind nearing 500 knots. Hope you enjoy these fancy schmancy "airliner-ish" shots 🙂 Parked at the SW corner we'll load via the stairs Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Up and away leaving this predominantly cargo hub Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Untitled-3 by Ryan Butter…

We're back to your regularly scheduled program with a gorgeous flight from Sutton on Rogue (0OR8 new from Orbx), a private strip with lovely surrounds, to the far southwest corner of Oregon at Brookings (KBOK). Bullfrogsim has done a stunning freeware rendition I hope everyone will pick up: https://flightsim.to/file/73283/kbok-brookings-state-airport Drone view reveals all - Sutton is a 2500 x 75 ft grass strip situated just north of Medford Rogue Valley (nearest large airport KMFR) Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Basically one direction for takeoffs and one for landing with the grading... Hi all, now my joystick is broken, cannot fly anymore...the z-axis has an electronic fault and is bouncing around all the time. Hope I'll get a new one next week... Meanwhile I have some shots from FSX taken in 2016. It's the Bar Harbour scenery in Maine first release for FSX by Orbx and Ant's Drifter. Somewhere in between I must have readjusted the screen because it was a bit dark. I think if I go there in msfs today nothing better will come out.... …

Got an email announcing the new Aerosoft Lukla, and went to check out the default version as I know it's one of MS' hand crafted airports. The Aerosoft version looks very much like just a few minor animations added on to the default, so for now I'll stick with the default. Probably not for ever - I'm a sucker for the likes of a few cattle wandering around the perimeter etc - but I'll probably wait for a sale. Meanwhile, here's some shots as a sort of balance for my recent KNQX post! Parked up in the Cockspur Phenom (another sale item recently). No idea if this would be a feasible aircraft for this place, and frankly my dear, I don't give a dumb. Weather not look…

This is a topic that has been in mind for some time. While exploring the Apennine Mountain ranges of Italy in the SIM, I'd come across the Po River. Then, in a recent post when I flew the A318 from Lyon to Marseille, south, along the Rhone River valley, it occurred to me that the Po river is also flowing, just across (and over) the Alps...🙂...on my port side window, originating from the Italian side of the Alps, through the expansive Po Valley, named after it, on its way to its merger with Adriatic Sea, just south of Venice. Rivers always fascinate me...in the real world or in virtual world. When crossing river bridges during road trips, especially during summer mont…

Today, as I opened my Xbox, I caught this Southwest Germany (City) Update glaring me on the face (first item on "FREE" list), with a "NEW" (yellow) sticker on it. Been always interested in Germany scenery (since the Orbx days of Germany South and North, that comes to mind readily), I quickly installed it and gave it a trial... Making use of 2 Cities specifically mentioned in this Update, I've set up a flight, here, from the eastern side of the "Black Forest" of Southwest Germany (someone here is less than 2 hours' drive away from it...🙂...), from Stuttgart (EDDS), over and across the fascinating "Black Forest" region (named so, because of the dark-green tress, but th…

How about...if I pilot you today from Hongkong to Bangkok in utmost luxury...🙂...? No, I don't mean in the (cramped) space of that Cessna Citation Longitude (lingering) in our hangar. Here, I mean, in a full-size aircraft...one that's one-and-half times longer in size than the Longitude, with two powerful (commercial grade) CFM56 Engines capable of delivering 3 times the Thrust, same (0.80+) Mach Speed and a range of up to 5,000 miles...an a/c that could transport you, point-to-point, anywhere on the Globe...🙂...Oh well...this all sounds like bit of a sales-pitch, but it's not, because these are all facts. However, being a serious simmer, that you're, you'll surely overlo…
