The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Hi all, did a little flight around EDDF to practice in the helicopter and it's really funny to see that there are strong sides of every sim. Take the best features of the big sims, throw it all together and than you will have a first class sim....🙂 Here in Aerofly4 it's clearly the best and most detailed stock EDDF of all sims. And compared with the EC135 here the Bell 407 in msfs is a nervous wreck... On the other side the groundscenery in msfs has a better resolution so one can fly lower and it looks good nevertheless. The Eurocopter EC135 or now Airbus H135 is in heavy use by rescue organizations worldwide, around 650 worldwide are fitted with …

This is the new Redwing Zeppelin and part of Redwing’s 1930s scenery, which has to be bought separately The airport is Berlin Tempelhof Boy oh boy, this is sooo different from anything I have flown before The whole city has been changed to the 1930s, so you won’t see any modern buildings and no high rise Slowly approaching the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag, the German Parliament building And the Reichstag looks with its old roof structure exactly as it looked in those days If you look at the shadow cast by the airship, …

A long while ago, lasting for a decade and half, I would (invariably) make my once-a-year road trip from Ohio to destinations on the east coast of U.S. mostly to Maryland and Washington, D.C., and occasionally to New Jersey, visiting friends and relatives. The distance was not too much...e.g., about 400 miles from Columbus (OH) to Washington (DC). I could do this in one driving stint of about 6-7 hours, with one break for stretching of legs and for restroom, though, if I were to do this now, I might need more than one health break...🙂...Anyway, I always thought, and still think so, there is no better way to familiarize yourself with the heartlands of Midwest, than driving…

Hi all, this is the Antarctica scenery at British Rothera, it's not new so I'am one of the latest again...🙂 There are some funny penguins, nice to see, and a beautiful landscape all around. Have the Dash 7 in the colors of "British Antarctic Survey" because the paint is part of the package. Also have my old Bell 47J heli which works better in the cold air than the 407. So I'm quite happy! The Dash 7 supplies everything from Punta Arenas/Chile and a few Twin Otters are transferred from Calgary down to Punta Arenas every year. Flying over to Rothera is a so called PNR flight (point of no return) where they only can go on when reached . In the …

Hi all, made these shots end of last year and overall it doesn't look bad but there are some issues with the scenery for P3d4.5 running in P3dv6, mainly vegetation. So I am waiting for Orbx now to bring the libs and the global stuff to v6. You can see that the light is now similar to msfs and XP12. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

No, there is no actual airline called "American Allegheny"...🙂...However, there is indeed a "RW" livery that says it. Once, there was a historic U.S. airline called "Allegheny Airlines" (may not be familiar to folks outside U.S.), but with roots in 1937, it existed so till 1979 until it became USAir (duly noting no "space" between "US" and "Air") later to be renamed (with a "space" now) US Airways. US Airways must be more familiar to folks outside North America, especially so, because of Captain Sullenberger's miraculous (not a single soul lost...!) feat of ditching his (US Airways) A320 on the Hudson River. The Allegheny Airline (been endowed with an initial "A" re…

OK, folks, before you get any other ideas...🙂...I wish to make it clear, right up front, that (Chicken/Eagle/Mayo) are actually the names of towns and villages in the Alaska and Yukon Territory...near the Canada-US border. After recently arriving in Fairbanks from Anchorage (please see one of my previous posts), today, I wished to wrap up my explorations by visiting a few other locales in the heart of Yukon Territory, to the east of Fairbanks. "Chicken" is a tiny Alaska Town 200 miles of east of Fairbanks, with a century of Gold Rush history behind it. "Eagle" is another Alaska town, located southeast of Fairbanks, on the bank of the famous Yukon River that gave name…

There are quite a few fans right in this Forum, yours truly included, of the (NYC based) jetBlue airline and its (bold and blue) liveries. It goes without saying that here is an airline that may be considered the "bluest" of all airlines within U.S. and possibly around the world. JetBlue does not just sport blue colors (of all shades, I might add), but also shows off multiple designs and variations of it, often with creative, and subtle meanings and expressions that go with a certain specific paint scheme. In recent years, you might have noticed that, there has been a general trend by many major airlines, towards predominantly "white" or "grey" fuselages, for one or …

Hi all, recently I installed the 2 airports for PHOG and PHHN by Northern Sky and the new Dash 7 by Pilots. And it's all nice, I am quite happy with it. The airports are well done and the Dash 7 is a worthy successor of the old FSX freeware by Milton Shupe. This took a while...🙂 Didn't really watch these popups from the OSD here, sorry. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

In my previous post, I'd flown from PANC (Anchorage) Rwy 25L (lifting off westward) in a Boeing 787 and had tracked a route south/southeast to Seattle (KSEA). In this post, I lift off the same westward runway (PANC 25L) but now track a route directly north, between the two largest cities in Alaska, at low altitude, to Fairbanks (PAFA) located in the mainland of Alaska. It's possible to fly this route at a (relatively) low altitude because there is actually a (well-known) roadway, George Parks Highway (aka: Alaska Route 3), starting out from Anchorage straight north to Faribanks cutting through the Denali National Park, with the highest point on this highway being the Moun…
