The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. Started by andy1252,

An expensive week. Wasn't expecting this, but had to get it - been missing this in MSFS. Bit overpriced for what it is, but nicely done. Looks great and flies ok for a klutz like me. Single livery only, with a threat of livery packs to come via the Marketplace, but hopefully there'll be some on .to as well. Somebody mentioned the sound in another thread. I normally have the sound turned down quite low, but I turned it up to check this out, and although I have no idea of what it should sound like, it seems very quiet to me. I have a vague memory of somebody doing a sound pack for this back in the P3D version, but I could be mistaken. So, great to see a halfway decent …

Flying from KOCF to KTPA in the FSW C414. OCF has a nice little freeware option available at the usual spot. TPA is by Verticalsim. Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr N110VE is a new livery from FSW. I recently gave it a big overhaul though with fresh paint/polish and some better metal qualities. I think it's one of the very best liveries for the 414: https://flightsim.to/file/70895/n110ve-clean-and-polished Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr The turbocharged 414 is a relatively nice performer even on this humid Florida day Untitled-3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr It's a short hop to TPA to drop off some passenge…

Indie developer Ken Hall has recently released his second batch of PNG airstrips. They are available at the ORBX site and are a fantastic way to bring this remote part of the world to life. Susi Air of course does not fly in this part of Papua, but I like the livery, so I was able to convince them to transfer one of their Pilatus planes, which usually operates in the Indonesian part of Papua 🙂 Climb, baby, climb Flying along Papua’s eastern shore. In the distance you can see Umboi Island Over Yalumet. No other plane blocks t…

Hi all, found some nice and detailed scenery for the little archipel Helgoland in the northern sea. Scenery is by superspud, can be downloaded from flightsim.to. There are 2 islands, one is Düne with the airport EDXH and the other Helgoland where the village is on. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

  7. Hi Terry, here's some pix of the interior for you. Had to use the drone camera to get in there, but I will experiment with camera settings next time. Looks ok to me, but you'd know how realistic it is, I guess. Couldn't find any way to open any of the doors/hatches etc apart from the EFB. There is a "ramp open" button in the cockpit (second picture) but it's not clickable. None of the handles on the ramp or parachute doors seem functional either. So pretty much a "look - don't touch" kind of thing. Again, that's fine with me, but you may feel different. No options for any cargo or paratroopers as far as I can see either. Anyway, some pix for you r…

  9. First of three posts from an exploration around Sydney. YRAY is the Sydney Seaplanes package from Pyramid8Studios via Orbx, plus FlyTampa's YSSY and Orbx's Sydney cityscape. ALtogether they make up a pretty impressive environment. Unfortunately, a lot of the MS/Asobo PG around here is pretty poor, or at least it was today. I still never know if particular areas are just badly done or if it's just that the servers are having a bad day/hour/week or whatever. I spent the whole afternoon just pootling around, took literally hundreds of shots, but I've pulled out a few to share. Basic trip starts at the Sydney Seaplanes setup, which is very nicely done. Lots of animations…

Hi all, the stock scenery for Goodwood is really not very impressive so i installed the addon and it's really well done. Have it in 3 sims now...🙂 I am just working on the setup of my helicopters and my recommendation for the enthusiasts here is to create a special profile for every single heli. It's a lot to do but the only thing which really works. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

  11. Someone had said here that wherever you look in the Pacific Northwest (PNW), there are (endlessly) beautiful locales and vistas to explore and enjoy...even in our virtual world of MSFS. Today, I was looking up a bit around the Castlegar (CYCG) airport of British Columbia, a region I've virtually explored quite a bit previously via the (FSX-Orbx) version of the regional scenery. So, I repeated my excursion in MSFS, and I was not disappointed. BTW, there are a fee (handcrafted) airports here by Gaya, the same folks who had provided the freeware airports, I recall, for the Caribbean Update. I lift off CYCG airport northward (towards and past CZNL (Nelson) Airport) while…

Saw that EDNY was added as a hand-crafted airport and went to take a look. Grabbed the DO-31 but haven't read the manual yet and the buttons I had mapped for the Harrier and Osprey don't seem to work for it so I'll need to actually read the thing before I can do VTOL. But other than that a hot-start works fine for now. The airport and its surrounds look pretty good to me. Lots of the sort of detail I like. I'll shut up now and just post the pix. Suspect there'll be some good exploring to be done with this update. And the DO-31 will be fun once I've got my controls mapped.

  13. OK, you must be already wondering...A318...Denver to London City...Really...🙂...? Now, the A318 is indeed capable of transatlantic flights but under certain specific conditions. The classic (and probably sole) example of such flights was the British Airways' (premier) A318 service between London City Airport and John F. Kennedy Airport. BA was operating these flights for over a decade. This prestigious business-class flight was given the legendary number "BA1" which was once the flight number reserved solely for Concorde flights between London and New York...the difference was that the new "BA1" flight was operated with a tiny aircraft - the smallest member of the A320 fa…

Just got the update for KNQX via SImMarket. Very nice, and a free update to boot! So this is just a quick drive on to the base and a look at what must be a really good posting for the folks there. Love the sign on the gate here ("No firearms allowed on military property at any time") - seems a bit counter-intuitive! I assume these are the accomodation blocks. Looks pretty acceptable to me! Another working day Just popping out to get some beers Had a few trips to Florida, always amazed by the sunshine (as a Brit, we don't get that sort of sunshine here. Ever), but a bit disturbed at the thought of some of the othe…

Continuing my Sydney tour, now heading over to take a look around YSSY Seems like a big old place. No idea how much ground it covers but feels like a lot. Sun heading down around about this point on the tour Somebody's parked something posh there Ah yes, the shark. Meet Syd the Shark (well, what else is he going to be called?) I'll stop here for now. Part three has a couple more of YSSY as the evening sets in, then a few night shots of some of the ground previously covered to finish

Hi all, this short flight is my special little route to test aircraft since FS9. In those days there was nothing on the ground in between Pit Meadows and Bellingham. Than Holger Sandmann did a few lc files for it, was an improvement. And today we have it all photorealistic, great. Installed the KBLI airport by Fly2High because the stock msfs didn't impress me much and looks good now. The Bonanza comes in a nice classic livery by Ryan Butterworth, can be downloaded from flightsim.to. …

  19. Little known, because it doesn't exist. But it sounds like a proper 1960s limo, perhaps a signature version of the Super Snipe maybe. Anyway, just got an email from IniBuilds that mentioned the Horten Ho299 for sale. Had to rush straight over and grab that one! Always fascinated by some of those German WWII experimental aircraft. Nasty bunch of folk but they seemed to know a bit about engineering and design. At the same time I'd also spotted a payware version of the Secret Studio's Humber Bridge. I have the freeware version (from flightsim.to) and the bridge itself is fairly similar but the immediate landside scenery is new for the payware version, and it was cheap a…
