Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

The Avro Vulcan's delta-wing design (for a sub-sonic aircraft) was seemingly a revolutionary one, but, most of all, the shape of this plane does appear rather "cool-looking"! The aircraft is noted to be in successful continuous operation for a period of nearly 30 years, which is a testament to its design. Here are some screenshots of the Vulcan flying along the northern (oceanic) border of Spain (Bay of Biscay) from San Sebastian (LESO) to La Coruna (LECO). There are several big and small coastal towns along this route, but only rolling hills. The higher mountains of the Cantabrian range lie to the south of the route. Thanks for viewing and hope you enjoy these image…

Looking to extract another QW aircraft from my depository, I decided to test out the BAe-146, which always appeared rather "unique-looking" to me. There was a time, when, I guess, 4 engines on a regional jet could be still marketable, since the production of (BAe 146 + Avro RJ) seems to have run for nearly 20 years. And now we fly non-stop ~18 hours across the world in 2 engine jets. My longest (as passenger) was for 17-17.5 hours a couple of years ago in a 777 (economy class...probably would not do such non-stop again, if I can avoid). But, on a related note, my only First Class travel (in Air France) several years ago (my only time, and will be surely the last time...pr…

I love the route from Frisco to Las Vegas, so many different types of scenery, from the ocean, the bay, the farmland, snowcapped peaks and desert. My favorite frequent flyer story, I was assigned to a client, a Holiday Inn on the strip, in Vegas, flew there from SFO in the morning on Southwest airlines. I always checked my voicemail on landing, and found I had an urgent message. It was my boss, saying "Do not go to the client, they have to postpone, fly home!" My office travel agent booked the return flight, same jet I flew in on, and I went downstairs, grabbed my luggage, then checked in for the flight home. I wanted to stay but my boss wanted me to go to another cl…

Enjoying the Xplane11 Ask21 glider, with its courtesy tow to altitude. Annecy is a beautiful small historic town in France, with canals like Venice. The way it is situated on a lake, with the majestic French alps, it rests near Mt. Blanc. I went there in 1989, back when France required visas of US Citizens. I went to the French consulate in San Francisco to get mine, the people there were so courteous and gave me brochures on France. I flew to Geneva, took the train to the main station, then walked across Lac Le Man to another, smaller station for the ride to Annecy. Saw Mt. Blanc in 1982, on a tour, we went to Chamonix on our way to Zermatt in Switzerland. There I…

  21. I have not used England scenery much. Here is a collection of screenshots taken for a stretch of coastal tour along the south-western tip (between Bournemouth and Plymouth). I am flying the AGtruck on a sightseeing (instead of an agricultural) mission...did ensure this one does not have any crop-dusting equipment...(to prevent any accidental deployment)! The terrain in this scenery may appear a bit repetitive, but nonetheless makes for a soothing flight. Thanks for viewing. (Orbx-England/Alabeo-C188/REX)

After having finished my route a few minutes ago (go and watch it on PFY) i found it would be interesting to post the best pics of it. So today we're at EGPH, or edimborophh for the ones who know it better. I've been there twice, once with the q400 and once with the SF34. It's now a complete other story. I'm captain of flight AF 1687 (real BTW) left @ gate 2. Not a busy day, clouds are not too bad and there isn't much wind. Catering is coming in. Meanwhile, in the flight deck, i'm inserting the route, sid, star, perf and all others. I still kept some knowledge of the FSL that i got rid of during the malware thingy, but some of it is different. It feel…
