The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I was trying out today a Convair-240, for old time's sake. The Convair aircraft have always piqued my interest (primarily because of their ready availability via the dedicated works of the CalClassic (California Classics) and the HJG (Historic Jetliners) groups. I recall flying all the Convair variants available there. And, after so many years, I found them now all, in tact, in my (FW) FSX collection. The Convair company, itself, has a rather fascinating history. The Convair-240 (similar to the venerable DC-3), was meant to replace it. Although the CV-240 was larger, faster and could carry a bigger payload than the DC-3, it could not outlast the Douglas legend! Likew…

After replying to a QW post in the P3d Forum, I realized I handn't flown her in a bit...so took her on a short hop from KMSP to KDEN. This is at the end of the flight where I got out and took a walk around the big girl. Tried to capture some interesting vantage points where I could also showoff FlightBeam's excellent scenery....the best of all the devs in my opinion! Here is the nose, with my weathered GPUs giving her ground power. Love the detail of the AC unit under the jetway, the small placards you'd normally never see from the cockpit, but are there nonetheless. Caught a flight's contrails flying high above Denver's sky in this pic. …

Here is a set of screenshots of a decent Corsair II simulation (by Razbam). Corsair II was originally manufactured (by the LTV conglomerate) to replace the legendary Douglas A-4 Skyhawk. I had got several Razbam aircraft (on sale) a long time ago. I'm not much into military aircraft (and when I do fly them, they are purely for non-military). But, I feel guilty of having never taken these to the sky. This is the 2nd Razbam aircraft that I'm testing out (after the earlier Razbam Harrier). Hope, if not all, at least some of you...🙂...enjoy these pictures. For myself, there is always a little bit of new learning and excitement from each and every aircraft simulation, wha…

Just finished a nice flight from Tampa to St. Louis in this lovely plane. Stretching my legs after shutdown...although it was a short trip for this bird. hehe. (Pics are big if you hover or click them...taken on a 4k 55 inch monitor, but had to use a lot if compression or the file size would be huge) Love that photo tail! 🙂 Just a good looking plane IMO...one of my favorites to fly. Here is the storms I had to tip toe through out of Tampa

Some Aerofly FS2 shots showing Orbx' work: I started down at the southeast corner of the Netherlands and Im working my northward. im not sure if Ill go clockwise or CCW but Im trying to stop at every airport and so far they all look really nice. The only thing is an airport with a 2000 foot runway with an ILS24 using 108.90 that doesn't seem to be available. I might have got the wrong frequency... but it looks good and I was worried about its size - geography wise - but Im quite happy with it.

It was the first T-tail rear-engined 3-engine jetliner (first flight ahead of the legendary B727!). On record, it was also the first airliner to make a blind-landing in revenue service. It was among the first to be certified for CAT III operations, and was an extremely sophisticated aircraft for its time. The first auto-landing in a Trident was achieved in March 1964. The first on a commercial flight with passengers aboard was achieved in June 1965, with a Trident 1, from Paris to Heathrow. In our virtual world, in FSX, one thing I enjoyed was flying such aircraft (many actually originating from FS9, but made flyable by community enthusiasts). Unfortunately, as we mo…
