The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Love flying at night in Xplane11 after a member told me to compare its night shots with P3DV4/FSX. I feel Xplane11 wins hands down with the moving traffic below, tailights receding into the distance.... John

Shying away from the daunting task of another proper cold and dark today (aka: CS B737-200), I was looking for something quick where I could turn the lights on and push full-throttle...🙂.... Here are a few shots of the (Razbam) Harrier AV-8B Plus taking off from NZ-SI (Christchurch/NZCH) towards Wellington (NZWN) along the eastern coast of (Orbx) NZ-SI. All shots are taken within 15 minutes of flight...dawn/dusk/night rolled into one...in the interest of time (it was fun). Hope you still enjoy.

These are from my latest skies. Ive been trying to gather a collection of textures that work well enough together. Its default XPlane with my textures and some rearranged sunglow files.

My 737 Group has been especially under-utililized. I extracted my 737 models and thought it may be interesting to capture (B2B) together the (static) images of the successive variants. 737 has the unique distinction of being the only commercial aircraft to have been continuously manufactured since 1967. Please allow for the differences in the fidelity of the simulations while viewing the sequence. I have skipped VC shots for some models, where I could not detect any significant difference (at least in my eyes). The chosen images belong to CS 200, Wilco 300/400/500. iFly 600/700, and PMDG 800/900, shown in the same order. (Maybe I will try the CS 737-200 next for a sh…

Hey guys! It's been a while since I posted a flight here and more than a year since I did my last simmed flight. After many frustrating moments of unreliability, bad FPS and not that good graphics on FSX: Steam Edition, I decided to move to P3D. This process, between buying, updating some things on my computer and specially migrating AI Traffic from FSX to P3D, took almost a year to be completed and then came P3D V4, when I was almost ready to start flying again. This meant I had problems with many AI models, so, It took almost half a year to get to where I am now. So, after a bit of testing, It was time for a bit of flying. This will be a short flight betw…

Just purely for fun (and a bit of adventure), here is a flight, in the heart of high Rockies of Colorado, from Aspen (KASE) to the mile-high city of Denver (KDEN), at night-time, with FSX visibility slider set at the minimum. After taking off from Aspen RWY 33, the moon appeared (briefly and occasionally) right next to the HGS, the combination rather comforting,...🙂..., when one has no external visibility otherwise...(MSE CO is redundant!)... I have used the Pan Am (fictional) repaint here - contributed by the Aerosoft Community Services. Thanks for viewing the images of the aircraft in this iconic livery.

Here are a few screenshots of the wonderful AS-CRJ (in the Fictional BMI Regional colors) flying in South West region of the country (Orbx England). Could not keep the aircraft idle any more...and from my initial experience (cold & dark start-up), no complaints at all (but only admiration) for it...Thanks again to you early-testers for "hardening" this aircraft for the rest of us!

Lovely freeware Legacy, looks like it is going 180 knots even on the ground. Now all we need is a Lancair IVP for Xplane, 320KTAS in pressurized comfort! John

I extracted Flight1/Digital Aviation Fokker 70/100, one of my old favorites (Meanwhile AS/DA CRJ is sitting idle and cold&dark in my hangar waiting for some serious study!). Fokker 70 (coming in 1993 - later than Fokker 100) was a modern and capable regional jet, but unfortunately it entered market at the wrong time. In the face of aggressive competition from CRJ/ERJ, and compounded by lack of financial backing from operators, it could not be a commercial success, and its production spanned only about 4 years. Fokker 70's development consisted of "...cutting various fuselage sections of Fokker 100, but keeping the wings and tail....". After "Fokker" company filed…

I was pleasantly surprised with my recent performance test on my old 2600K/970 combo: FSDT Airports Some tile loading in the KLAX area and fps in the teens, but still smooth considering the age of my system. Jose

Tropicalsim updated their TIST and just had to add it to my sim. They decided not to model the entire island. What a shame! Jose BTW, I'm not sure how long I will continue to post pics. Using Imgur is a PITA.
