The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I was along the coast of Cannes and Nice last June 2017 on my tour thru Europe, loved how the Alps marched down to the sea as we drove along the coast, thru Monaco, into Italy. So I made this flight today to remember my time in Europe last year, with those lovely countries, France, Monaco and Italy, and the wonderful people and hill towns we saw, living old country style as families do, going back to my European roots, as my paternal grandparents came from the old country. That is why I have toured and worked in Europe over the past four decades, to be near my roots, to walk in the footsteps of those that made our country great. John

I have not flown Italy (MSE) much, so tried a ~100nm flight from Naples to Rome. It at least educates one about the terrain and the localities that one would encounter on a real flight between these two cities. Of course, any form of activity and life, on the ground, is always missing in Photoscenery. There is no high Alps here, but the flight turned out to be an enjoyable one across rolling hills that border the nearby Apennine Mountains. Here are few screenshots captured en-route. Using MSE/AS-Wilga/REX. Good day/evening!

@Steve Dra told me to start a new thread to show off the fictional freighter I came up with for the QualityWings 787. I (and Steve) are working on expanding the list. Heres what I got going on now. So if you download them and make some flights. Take some screen shots and upload them to this thread and share your adventure! Remeber Atlas is a Ad Hoc (Charter) company so fly anywhere and its legit cause we go anywhere, anytime!! All the freighters can be found here. DHL Operated by Polar Air Cargo (AAWH). On a side note, if anyone has a particular registration they want to see on this aircraft please ask otherwise I won't go thru the trouble of posting an aircr…

Eclipse out of Unalaska in the Aleutians, Cessna over some spectacular Frisco scenery, freeware at that, adds a detailed Frisco to Xplane 10 and 11 and a great SFO airport, along with some photoreal textures of the northern SF peninsula and city. I picked the Aleutians for the Eclipse because they are rarely shared in either P3D, FSX or Xplane, and offer a great contrast between the mountains and ocean. I flew over them once on a Northwest Airlines flight in '92 enroute nonstop from SFO to Tokyo, saw them from FL350 peeking up from the summer overcast below. John

Here are a few en-route screenshots for a flight between Sydney (YSSY) and Melbourne (YMML) in the largest of the Lockheed constellations (aircraft thanks to Manfred Jahn/Team). I used, here, the Lufthansa 1957 colors of this iconic aircraft. I have some personal bias for the constellation because of the opportunity I'd to visit on board the (restored) L-1049 (TWA Constellation) at the KC Airline History Museum. That plane was flown from Mesa, AZ (airplane graveyard) to KC by a dedicated group of volunteers. While visiting the airplane, I'd asked my guide, "How did you manage to get this plane here?". He said, "IFR", and then after a pause, added, "I Follow Roads"! Today,…

I have gone up in sailplanes several times in my life, out of the old Calistoga gliderport in the Napa Valley, now closed down. I have flown in two and three seater gliders, like the Grob. There used to be an old Ford commercial "Quieter than a glider", but gliders are far from quiet, just like a jet you have the wind noise going over the fuselage as you fly. I used to ride a bicycle from Napa to Calistoga, 26 miles, then park it there while I paid for a glider flight with my friend. When I bought my first car in 1986 I drove to Calistoga one last time, and flew in a Grob, another glider was ridge soaring with us over the Mayacamas mountains, near Mt. St. Helena, the …
