The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

I picked up the V2 CRJ tonight (for free I might add - even though v1 was a rough product it was pretty generous of them to give V2 away for free). I flew this in 2024 SU2 beta. I wrote briefly in the main MSFS forum but I did two flights: KMSP WLSTN7 GRB YZEMN NUBER6 CYYZ (ILS 06R hand flown) KMSP NESIC KDLH (ILS 09 Autopilot flown - it did well!) We've all known of the sub par product that was the Aerosoft CRJ v1 (whether it was in FSX, P3D or the recent MSFS 2020 version). I must say, V2 is a HUGE upgrade. There are a few issues I ran into but nothing show stopper - and certainly no airliner addon I've seen released for MSFS is bug free! The gra…

Whenever I visit a new airport where I've never been before, I typically do (at least) two B2B flights into it to get a feel for the vicinity and also the local geography. So, here, before I bid farewell to Santarém, Brazil (see my previous post if you wish), a town where the two big rivers meet (one of which is Amazon); I wished to test-fly the RNAV Runway 28 Approach into SBSN Airport. In my previous post, I'd flown the iniBuilds A321 into SBSN's Runway 10. And, today, I actually wished to fly the iniBuilds A330 into the opposite Runway 28, for which there is a published RNAV Approach. However, unfortunately, when I attempted to load the iniBuilds A330 into my Xbox…

This weekend, after a several years of break, I got to visit the local (Chicago) Science Museum, planning to see the African documentary film called "Serengeti" in the OMNIMAX Theater. "Serengeti" is the renowned (and quite incredible) part of the African savanna ecosystem, famous for the "Great Migration"...No, not of human migration of the type I'd mentioned in my previous post about Klondike Gold Rush...🙂...but of millions of wildebeest (mostly gazelle and zebra) that, driven by needs for survival and food, undertake the annual (extremely arduous and dangerous) journey, covering a distance of nearly thousand miles, across the Serengeti Plains of Africa...in search of w…

[First of all, a curious thing happened to me today. As you are likely aware from my posts, I am currently an exclusive user of MSFS in Xbox, though I have always had my simulation activity on a PC from before my FS9 days all the way until I switched to MSFS in 2020. There are certain Plug-and-Play aspects of MSFS/Xbox, that now fits my needs...and, of course, Xbox does have its own limitation too. Anyway, rarely Xbox Console and Controller have failed me when I start up my simulation. Today, however, my Xbox would not simply turn on. I checked the batteries on the Controller, checked the connections to my other peripherals (HOTAS, keyboard) etc. The problem was that the …

...🙂...OK, first of all, I just wished to use here today the nostalgic "All Aboard" phrase that we once used to hear on the Railway Stations in this part of the world (I do not believe it is (or was) prevalent in other parts of the world). The train conductor would shout "All Aboard" just before the locomotive's brakes are released along with that unmistakable hissing and howling sound...and instantly with much anticipation we would be on our way...🙂...Also, earlier this week I caught (re-run) bits of the (2004) animated Christmas film "The Polar-Express"...Oh boy...20+ years have already passed since it was first released...clearly time and tide (and graying of hair...🙂.…

A few shots of the Flight Replica's Gipsy Moth in FS2020, clad in one of the many Jankees repaints. I have noticed that if there is any wind blowing, the aircraft can be quite twitchy on my controls, & flying it using the basic AP gives a much smoother flight. I also found that once you have settled on the AP Altitude & Heading, you could take the Altitude hold off & it is stock trimmed to slowly climb to the desired height, & then you just put ALT HLD on again. Great value for money if you like the old timers. T45

After reading Andy’s latest post, I finally decided to take the plunge and try FS2024. This is one of my first flights, and so far, I’m really enjoying it. I’m also pleased to see that the FS2020 scenery add-ons I’ve installed seem to work seamlessly in FS2024. For this short flight, I’m following the Elbe River, starting from the Finkenwerder Airbus factory near Hamburg. Also the Bücker Jungmann performs well in the new environment. Thanks for viewing

Woke up early this morning to watch the eclipse at sunrise but unfortunately the treeline and clouds prevented me from seeing it so I fired up MSFS 2020 and started a flight from KEWR-RJAA and wow, it did not disappoint! I got to watch the Eclipse after all. Just about to rise.... Partial Eclipse! Accurately starting to appear like two suns!!! About to head on board... I need eye protection...

In one of my previous posts, I'd travelled ~2000 miles, southbound, in the northeastern part of South America (to explore a bit the MSFS World Update XIX). Here, I fly ~1,500 miles, northbound, entirely within the vast country of Brazil, along the eastern coastline of South America, skirting the South Atlantic Ocean. My objective is to fly to some of the tallest mountain peaks that are mostly localized in Brazil's southeastern regions. These regions are aptly called the Brazilian Highlands in sharp contrast to the northern regions of Brazil dominated by the rainforests and the lowlands of the Amazon River. The (coastal) city of Rio is famous for many nearby mountain…

I use the excellent Gipsy Moth to look for some elephants. The registration G-AAMT was used during the shooting of the “Out of Africa” movie. Usually it carries the registration G-AAMY. Until 2024 the plane was stationed in Kenya and is still in excellent condition. Thanks for viewing.
