The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. This small and single prop (default) MSFS2024 airplane in my airplane Library (I mean...in my hangar...🙂...) ...has been (passionately) beckoning me for some time but has been, so far, bypassed by the likes of Airbus and Boeing airliners ...🙂...so, today, I thought of taking it into the sky for a test flight. I do recall flying, in my past SIMs, (at least, freeware versions of) the Air Tractor AT-802. Moreover, I have been always struck by the similarity of the AT-802 Air Tractor with another (agricultural) aircraft, the (Cessna) A188 AG Truck, a nice (SIM) rendition of which by (one-time Carenado twin...🙂...) Alabeo, was one of my favorite airplanes. An Air Tractor…

  2. I'd previously, in a post here, traced the route and recollected some of my thoughts from a (RW) Road trip I'd taken many years ago (actually in a Tourist Bus-liner) from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon. For that flight, I'd used the (iniBuilds) Mitsubishi MU-2 twin turboprop. During that post, I learned that one of the most famous and most historic of U.S. Highways, namely U.S. Route 66, that starts out from my hometown Chicago, and traverses ~2,500 miles westward across the heartlands of America, finally ends in Los Angeles, California. And also, that the Route 66 passes through Arizona, about 50 miles south of Grand Canyon... The 2nd motivation for this post is my desi…

I'll admit I have a weakness for repainting freeware, so I'm having a excellent time with this Fokker. I showed you the Troopships earlier, here are a few Friendships, including cargo versions:

Superior to where you say? The U.P. or Upper Peninsula of Michigan is sandwiched between Wisconsin and Ontario, Canada as well as Lake Superior, Lake Michigan, and Lake Huron. It's a lovely place to visit in the summer (or winter if you're sick in the head!) People from this area are commonly called Yoopers! We're pretty sick so we're flying the PC-12 NGX from KSUW to KSAW at FL210 on this brisk wintery morning. Flight time is a bit over 1.5 hours and we'll shoot the RNAV RWY 19 approach via JIBQE The twinkling city lights of Duluth MN can be seen in the background, along with the quite tall "antenna farm" (around 2050 ft for the highest) as we de-chock this…

  12. Beginning to explore low & slow in 2024 free flight. Was curious to see what Hearst Castle looked like in 2024. It's pretty good in 2020 but 2024 takes it to a whole new level. No flight shots in this set - I did a flight from here up to Big Sur and will go back and see about some shots from that later. I've been to both those places a couple of times IRL and done the SF to LA coast trip a few times as well. Amazing place for real, and (once they've sorted out the issues with the sim) it looks like it is going to get pretty close to that level of amazement here too. All 4k, settings on ultra, Bijan's trees may well be responsible for the big palms here - haven't …

  13. When I switched the simpc on today, the sign-on screen was showing a rather fine, obviously Chinese or similar landscape. I usually just think - "nice" and login without much further thought, but this time round I clicked one of the "show me" type links before signing in. The subsequent Bing screen (as shown below) told me this was in the Huixian Wetlands in the Guangxi Province in Southern China. So I thought I'd try and find the location in 2024 and see what it looked like. I'm rather glad I did - it's pretty spectacular. Also, not (as far as I'm aware) a particular POI within the sim, just the normal level of scenery display for 2024. Which just convinces me even furth…

  14. Was just checking out a landing at KLAX to see if I was getting the same sort of stuttering mentioned by @Cpt_Piett in another post, and on arriving at the end of the runway I spotted this. Fair made me lose control of my pedals! No idea what he was doing here, and all I can guess is that it's either a c*ck-up or an easter egg type thing from the SoFly "Animals" package I have running. I'll have to be careful if I go walkies around KLAX, for sure.

  16. This is my first flight of 2025...🙂...So, to start off MSFS2024 in the New Year, I wished to fly today an a/c that I used to sometimes fly in MSFS2020 but never got to fly it in MSFS2024. This is the Asobo/iniBuilds Mitsubishi MU-2 twin turboprop. I'm also using this flight to reminisce a bit about a (tourist) bus trip I'd taken, decades ago, from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon (during one of my 2 visits to the Sin City...🙂...). I do not know exactly why I did not (locally) rent a car for this trip, as I normally would do, but instead (probably) took advantage of some kind of (sponsored) promotion flyers I picked up at the lobby of the Hotel. And I recall clearly that I'…

  17. Triggered by a member post, here, I thought, I would take out the FSW C414AW today for one last time in 2024 (also to mark my last FS2024 flight of this year...And who knows what awaits us in the SIM World in 2025...🙂...to be seen...but always hoping here for better things to come...while also keeping the perspective that this hobby of ours is just one small piece of the immense jigsaw puzzle...that is our own lives and events...🙂...) ... Anyway, while perusing my MSFS "Library" contents (as the Marketplace still remains shuttered with that perpetual "Coming Soon" sign...🙂...), I came across the handcrafted scenery, BravoAirSpace's rendition of Santo Domingo's Las Am…

  18. Africa, in our SIM, has been always neglected since the ages, and it's finally MSFS that has brought at least a semblance of realism to the vastness and the amazingly diverse topographical features of this continent, thereby making our explorations somewhat feasible and meaningful. It's still nowhere near levels of attention that other parts of the world (such as European and North American regions) have received e.g., in terms of the incremental World Updates. That's a pity. I've recently posted about my (virtual) travels across the Great Rift Valley of Eastern Africa, and also of my visit to Cape Town airport (See my previous post), near the southernmost tip of th…
