The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Hi all, these shots show various sceneries from Australia. Basically it all runs in p3dv6 as well but there are always some issues with the addons which are designed for older versions. So this is all p3dv4 again, all runs 100%. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

  2. I recently completed a flight from LFSO to ENBR in the iniBuilds A400M, and overall, I’m quite impressed. For a standard edition aircraft it is well-modeled, and the systems are generally solid. However, the EFB could be more developed and integrated with Navigraph. I could not spot any icing nor windshield effect despite flying in severe icing condition while descending. In terms of flight dynamics, the aircraft handles very well on the ground, but during approach, it feels overly sensitive, making it difficult to maintain the vertical glide path. Some fine-tuning in this phase would be beneficial. Sounds are decent but I expected more punch from the TP400. …

  5. Yesterday, I dropped off a family member in O'Hare Airport for a flight from Chicago to Orlando. For this (ORD to MCO) flight, United Airlines operated an A321neo (Reg ID N14515), a relatively new Airbus (just about 8 months old; delivered in July 2024; United's fleet currently has 32 A321neos in service). The flight was scheduled to leave in the afternoon on an unusually bright and sunny day in Chicago, with temperatures in the 70s (btw, today, just the day after, I woke up to see a couple of inches of fresh white snow covering the grounds, and much colder temperatures). Anyway, the spring is surely not too far around here, with tiny buds already emerging at the tips of …

  7. For the past couple of weeks, I've really been enjoying the tail-dragger Beech Twin (D18S)...and created a plain shiny skin texture set for some personal flights. Sometimes, the flightsim stars align perfectly to produce a very, very enjoyable flight. Today, was a VFR flight from Boundary Bay (CZBB) to Portland International (KPDX), flying the Denarq modded Carenado D18S under overcast skies. Normally, I fly with ActiveSky...today I just flew with the default cloud textures...most of our snow is gone already, so it was more realistic today without AS, IMHO. To me, this is a perfect low and slow aircraft...I was planning a low altitude (3,000') cruise.…

  10. The MSFS XIX World Update enhanced the land mass scenery of mostly northeastern South America, notably including Brazil. In my previous post (please see it if you wish), I'd flown along the final 300 miles of the Amazon River, entirely within Brazil. Here, I wished to travel over a much longer passage, from Georgetown airport (SYCJ) in Guyana to Rio de Janeiro airport (SBGL) in Brazil, a flight distance of about 2,300 miles. Though the most dominant geographical feature of South America is the Andes Mountains, stretching along the western coast of the continent, it is outside of the coverage of MSFS WU XIX. If you examine the EFB Map display (below) of my route, you'…

  15. [The MSFS2024 Marketplace is finally open for partial business, though its current state gives me the impression of a local (indoor) mall that I used to visit...often in early weekend mornings...🙂...for walk and a Coffee. Since the front entrance would be open before the individual shops open for business, I would see there only a few shops with any real activity (including the Coffee shop), but most of the shops still shuttered awaiting their opening times, and the tranquility suited me fine...🙂...but NOT here in the MSFS Marketplace...🙂...! I see no big-ticket (3rd-party) aircraft yet, and lots of (my already owned) items now tagged with "Not Developer Approved" warning…

  16. Some Brasilia shots post WU19 from 2024. First, the Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge. They've obviously hand-modelled the bridge itself, but then not masked out the underlying customary underwater road! And here's the same bridge in 2020 - And there are quite a few other things like this in this WU. Here's a fairground a bit further into the city, first in 2024 - and then in 2020 - Given what 2024 is capable of visually, I'm amazed that they've manage to scr*w up some of this stuff the way they have. This is supposed to be the "new improved, flagship product" Again, when it's good, it is totally amazing. …

  17. [Folks: I'm having some kind of Server issues...Let me know if you can see my images below...Thanks...!] With the availability of long-haul airplanes in our SIM (such as the payware B777 and A350, or even the default 747-8 and 787-10), simmers often might say, yours truly included, "Oh well...I don't have the patience or time to fly such airliners for 10+ hrs...", which is true enough with all the other non-pilot (and life-sustaining...🙂...) daily obligations that we might otherwise have...alongside this imaginary aviator career of ours here. However, if one is an airliner enthusiast (yours truly very much so...🙂...), that should not be an excuse. First of all, in ou…

I wanted to show some screenshots I had taken that really gave me WOW moments. I may have seen something that made me think "wow this looks just like real life" etc. These are predominantly from 2024, but some in 2020 and also from XP12. No matter what sim you use, it's incredible that we've arrived at this level of visuals. Please Enjoy! Just the other day I was gobsmacked when I noticed Nick from Black Square modeled the filaments in the light bulbs for the cockpit flood lighting in the Dukes! This from 2020, the new FlightFX P180. I was using REX Atmos - but I noticed the wind on this distant refinery stack was blowing the direction the act…
