Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.

  2. To test my new PC configuration (9800x3D+64 GB DDR5+5070ti+uwd 3440x1440), I’ve made this +1 hour flight, I did several time in real, connecting Sedona (KSEZ) and Page (KPGA) with the Grand Canyon transition. This time I wanted to check the smoothness, stability and the CPU+GPU temperatures. All where perfectly fine. The total route and log as seen from iPad Foreflight. I could have flew at a little lower altitude if I didn’t get through the Canyon Special Flight Rules area. Alternative route is going to Tuba City VOR east of Grand Canyon. Departing early morning from Sedona (KSEZ), Wind calm, I picked runway 3… that I think never saw active among the 10th…

With recent a XPlane 12.2 beta update from Laminar which massively improved lighting, cloud structure and many more items, I'm back in the saddle. Enjoy this flight as we escape the dreary weather of the American Sault Ste Marie airport, KANJ and fly down to Cleveland Intl KCLE. We file for FL350 (we're going for speed!) and the routing is FRYYE BRWNZ4 - we'll see if Minneapolis or Cleveland center gives us any shortcuts... Super cool clouds as we are shortly in between layers still climbing out at 4500 fpm... We end up around .910 at FL350 - KTAS around 527 Finally a break in the clouds Cleveland gives us a…

  11. [Today, a bit of (extra) deliberation and analysis interestingly proved to me that I must have flown (in RW) many times on the exact same A330-300 a/c (Reg. D-AIKL), which you see in my images below, and on which I'm myself in-command...🙂...here today...] Two triggers for this post of mine...🙂...First, I just received my renewed passport (required only 15 mins of on-line filing and digital photograph upload followed by about a week or so more for it to be shipped). So, I was rather impressed...🙂...because a decade ago one would laboriously fill out forms with a pen or/and make an appointment and pay a visit to the (local) post-office etc. Anyway, I happened to then look…

  13. In my previous post (see it, if you wish), I'd flown (long-haul) the Korean Air 747-8i from Denver/KDEN to Honolulu/PHNL, across ~3,300 miles, for a duration of 7.5 hours, at 34,000 ft cruise level. My idea was to connect between 2 of the 5 cities of the (recent) MSFS City Update 10. At the coastline transition point between land and water, as I'd passed high above the San Francisco (region) at FL340, about to enter the oceanic segment of my flight; I'd then wondered about being down there at KSFO airport...🙂...So, here, in this post, I've chosen to fly between Denver/KDEN and KSFO/San Francisco, across a distance of ~950 miles, taking just under 3 hours of flight time. M…

  14. Hi all, my simulator is doing backups all the time and so I brought 1 joystick over to my old pc and I have Aerofly FS2 there since a lot of years. It can also do FSX and XP10. It's an Asrock board chipset 970, FX 6300, GTX 660, 16 gb ram, 4 ssd 250gb and 500gb, 1 hdd 2 tb and WIN10_64. It's all 11 years old, started with Win7_32, and runs well. Never touch a running machine! 🙂 So here I found the US Bank building in Los Angeles to put the EC135 on top there. And the helicopter in Aerofly is as good as the HPG in msfs, really fun. I think it looks quite well for the old sim. …

  15. First of all, just as some of us must feel a sense of "withdrawal syndrome" if we don't visit these Forums on a daily basis...🙂...or don't fly our favorite SIM at least on a weekly basis, likewise, I feel an uncomfortable psychological sense of "withdrawal"...🙂...if I don't fly the 747 (Queen) in the SIM for a period longer than a couple of months (it has been so since my earliest times in this hobby). So, today, I decided to take out the MSFS/Asobo 747-8 on a relatively long-haul trip (haven't done such a trip for a while...). I'm also making use of the MSFS (U.S.) City Update 10. There are 5 cities that have been scoped in this City Update. Choosing 2 out of the 5…

  21. The weather was stunning up there in Seattle. I flew again the C172 Classic from Wb-Sim with real MSFS weather and Say.Intentions that continued to make his own life 😉 Let's get ready to have a spectacular full of light sky: Initial climb: The full route as seen from Foreflight: Leaving Anacordes with the sunrise: The weather didn't allowed me to stay relatively high. 22. A while ago, I'd attempted to fly this Asobo/MSFS (Stock) Cessna Citation CJ4 in MSFS2024. However, the livery textures of the a/c had seemed to flicker and tear from my external view, so, I had to postpone the flight with it. Today, I made another attempt, and the textures issue seems to have been resolved now. So, this is my first ever (successful) flight with the CJ4 in MSFS2024, though, I recall, flying it often in MSFS2020. I am flying, here, in the Southern-most section of California in and around French Valley, departing from McClellan–Palomar Airport (KCRQ), which is located ~30 miles north of San Diego, with the Pacific Ocean just a short distance away (see…

  23. Many moons ago, while in FSX, I'd acquired all the (Captain SIM) C-130 variants (an impressive collection of 18 different models). The add-on Pack had come conveniently in an All-in-One Combo called "C-130 X-perience". See below for the full listing of all the variants in this incredible (SIM) collection. The 'C-130 X-perience' All-in-One Pack delivered complete collection of 18 models of the following C-130 variants: • C-130E • C-130A (3-blade props) • C.Mk1 (with refueling probe) • HC-130 (USCG) • C-130J (6-blade props) • C-130J (with refueling probe) • C-130T (with JATO) • CL-130 (on floats with JATO) • KC-130 (tanker) • C-130J-30 (stretched) …

  25. Second test to familiarize myself with my return to XP12. I repeat again, the feeling is incredible as far as I'm concerned. However, you have to fly often and persevere to clear the general FS painting, of which I have used every millimeter... Here we are on the Airbus A319 Toliss with the Google Map Improvement Pro version (Bing Latest). I decided to do a little test in North Africa ,Nord America and Europe without a flight plan but without forgetting the real weather. I have never seen such a crystal-clear ground, especially in this Africa region, and even the horizon as far as the eye can see is clear and sharp.I have this indescribable feeling of being at altitud…
