The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

  2. This is a topic that has been always close to my (amateur) aviation instincts...🙂...I've often explored this topic in my past SIMs (e.g., with that 4-engined Jumbo jet of long-gone yesteryears or the more modern 777 twinjets), but not so much with the ultra-modern twinjets of recent times. Today, with a (decent) Airbus A350-900 ULR at my disposal, I wished to dig into this topic, in my virtual world, in a bit more depth than I've ever done before. But let's first define a few (un-official but commonly understood) definitions of long-haul flights terminology: Long-haul (lasting 6-12 hours) Extra-long-haul (lasting 12-16 hours) Ultra-long-haul (lasting m…

Thank you @ryanbatc for the beautiful livery of the free Carenado Dakota Aiming all along the approach to the numbers that I sit right on the hill as a virtual PAPI/VASI Col de la tourmente or "Calvaire", I don't remember. Hi all, as far as I know there are only 2 working models for A340-600 available currently. One is the expensive studylevel-aircraft from Toliss and the other is this here, freeware from Thomas Ruth. Originally designed for FSX years ago but v4 can do it in 64bit so it runs very smooth. A lot of nice paints available, great work. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

  5. Just as I began my cross-country hop on IVAO, determined to reach my destination, MSFS2024’s real-time weather decided to throw a massive storm right over the arrival airfield. Had to reroute and fly around the cell to make it in safely. One of those flights you definitely wouldn't want to replicate in real life, but perfect for sharpening your decision-making and weather navigation skills in the sim! Nantes (LFRS) to Rennes (LFRN) Route is reverse on this Skydemon screenshot Just after departing Nantes, on my way to Rennes, they were some clear signs that it won't be a smooth and quiet ride. On my left, weather is way more acceptab…

Hi all, just working on the installation of the LevelUp freeware package B737NG which includes all models. It's based on the Zibo mod so works perfect. Textures and other details improved again and a lot of paints, available for XP11 and XP12. So this here shows a special paint for the Alaska Airlines 900er. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

Hi all, this is from a little flight 300nm from Thessaloniki in the North of Greece to LGAV Athens area to have a look at the scenery. And it's rather good. Have the PMDG B737-600 here. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

  14. Descending quickly to St-Barth for a pattern exercice: left circuit for runway 28. Done from memory, as a decade ago, my friend local CFI taught me this not-so-common left hand circuit. It's easier to make right circuit for runway 28 when it's not the mythic runway 10. MSFS2024 | SU3 Beta v1.5.16.0 | Free Carenado Piper Dakota | Default scenery and real time MSFS weather. Starting the preferred way, other the field, slightly higher than publised. The standard procedure is offset to the east, entering like a left downwind and flying/slaloming less inside the island: Left base runway 28, in a couple of seconds it's going to be the decision…

I had such a good time flying FS2020 after all the frustration with 2024. What a shame more and more devs and leaving it at this time. Ah, yes - and this is from the new BATC update - guess what's wrong with it now...Yes, I realize this is an exp. version, but I don't care. It's been a really long time and these kind of bugs are unacceptable.

  18. Today, I was pleasantly surprised to find this iniBuilds A350-900 in my Xbox/MSFS2024 Marketplace. So, after all, iniBuilds has (adequately) tested and (finally) delivered their A350 for us kids on the Xbox...🙂...I was frankly expecting to see the PMDG B777 first on my Xbox, but, actually, rather glad to have the A350 in my hangar now. The A350 is quite a novel and modern airplane to fly in our SIM. And this A350, here, is a good one, and, in fact, probably the best rendition of A350 I've ever come across in the SIM, speaking purely from my own (limited) perspective. I wish I had more time today to do a complete long-haul (transoceanic) flight that this airplane dese…

Hi all, have the Bücker Jungmeister Bü 133 here in Aerofly. First flight was 1935 and it was used for aerobatic purposes until the 1960's. Indeed flies very well in the sim, really fun. Scenery is at Berlin. Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

  22. In my last post here (which seems like so long ago in the past...🙂...as I now view the fresh new posts on this Forum), I'd flown a Boeing 717 of the Australian (low-cost carrier) Jetstar (Airways), the livery carrying the slogan of a local Pizza brand (see the post, if you wish). Domino's Pizza, originally founded in a college campus of the Midwestern U.S. has been around almost as long I've been alive...🙂...always brings back to me the nostalgic memories of my younger days...mixed in with (care-free) times of (boisterous) weekend Football Games and the (not-so-healthful) diet combo of Pizza and fermented drinks...🙂... (those days, I might have even asked you, what again …

  23. Started by ryanbatc,

It's time to get away for the weekend as we leave KDET bound for Harbor Springs, Michigan KMGN (we'll land on a nearby lake). The XCub from CubCrafters is perhaps one of the lesser used aircraft in our inventory - but it's really a treat. It has docile handling and can cruise around 110 ktas even with the floats attached. It's equipped with a basic G3X, I say basic because there is no GPS navigator attached. (Though I could go for a GTN 650 Xi myself). It also has a really low stall speed (especially with the wheeled variant) and comes in regular tires, bush tires, skis and amphib. One of our painter group has created this superb real world paint (you know how R…

  25. Started by rmeier,

I don't normally fly PAX flights...I saw a (fictional) retro Air Canada livery on Flightsim.to...and as an amateur repainter I thought...hey, maybe I can "tweak" that livery a little bit... ACA Flight 304 is a real world (daily) flight from Vancouver to Montreal. (I believe the aircraft then carries on to Paris - CDG.) Anyway, I thought this flight was worthy of of pictorial history with a cool retro livery, albeit, fictional! Hope you enjoy the photos!
