Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/

  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.

The 'Yosemite Valley' add-on by Cli4D is now available for MSFS2024 (only) on certainly your favorite shop (Simmarket, Orbx Direct, flightsim.to, Contrail and even Patreon). Those lucky enough to have visited this iconic Californian park may recognize some of the trails... on foot! Unlike real life, you can explore below the 10,000 ft floor imposed by federal regulations in National Parks. Fun fact: the author (Cli4D) had started modeling the nearby Mariposa-Yosemite Airport terminal, noticed my free version, reached out, and shared his 3D model, now included for free in my freeware airport. Take off from KMPI, fly heading 040°, follow the Merced River, and in a…

  5. Shalom and greetings all my pals, Presenting historic Wein Air DC-3 flight from CHP Circle Hot Springs Airport located in Circle Hot Springs in the Yukon-Koyukuk area of Alaska to PAFA Fairbanks International Airport located three miles southwest of the central business district of Fairbanks Circle Hot Springs was very famous for its hot spring resort with a 4-story lodge that gained statewide and international attention where rich people in Alaska usually went to that hotel for vacation That is why Wein Air had regular service to CHP Circle Hot Springs airport as seen on this official airline timetable below that you can find my recreating of the historic …

Taking what may be the best default 2024 aircraft, and a stunning livery from TimHH ( https://flightsim.to/file/96056/microsoft-grumman-hu-16-albatross-n99tp-dynamic-registration ) from Long Beach California to Avalon (Santa Catalina Island - AVX) Mike Johnson (of LotusSim fame) did the HU16 Grumman Albatross and he knocked it out of the park. SU3 will contain a huge upgrade of this bird as well! Head out to sea! But it's no problem for the Albatross as it can easily land in the ocean Mike has modeled all the nooks and crannies... including the front port hole (you can get down there using default key commands but first…

  8. No...🙂..., this is not about a Panavia Tornado buzzing low over some scenic mountain range. The "MAX" here refers to the 737 MAX 8 and this post is triggered by a recent 737 MAX post by the same member. Of course, the MAX, you see in my images below is by Asobo/MSFS, not the fine one by iFly. Still, it's a very nice and free a/c to fly in MSFS2024, if you are so inclined. Moreover, on Xbox...🙂...it's the only 737 MAX available to me. BTW, after B2B (successful and verified by user...🙂...) introduction into Xbox, this past week or so, of two of the most complex (and large) airliners in our SIM (and in the world) today (PMDG B777 and iniBuilds A350); I'm hopeful the likes o…

  9. In my earlier post and flight, I'd flown from (EDDG) Münster Osnabrück Airport (Runway 07 / see shot #3) to (EDDC) Dresden Airport (Runway 04 /see shot #11). There, I had set PG off, as I habitually do in Xbox, to avoid generating (and sighting of) pyramidal and melted...🙂...buildings and structures. Now, as we are already aware, with the latest MSFS "Sim Update 3", a "City Update 12: Germany" was also released at the same time. The City Update (Germany) featured the following locations: Augsburg Bremen Dresden Leuben Leipzig Kiel Münster Out of this list, I'd (earlier) selected Münster and Dresden as the ORIG/DEST o…

  10. ...🙂...As a certain idiom says, "One thing led to another". This past weekend, I was an (unwilling) participant in a family event at the local Tae Kwon Do studio. No, I did not break any boards or any such other (hard) objects there...🙂...but was merely a silent witness to the various activities on-going in the location. Once we were done there, we caught sight of a Dunkin' store (formerly Dunkin' Donuts) right next door. So, I chose to stop by there just to recuperate the calories I'd lost...🙂...at the Tae Kwon Do studio, after watching the aforesaid activities and techniques, and also been forced to listen to the loud and sharp shouts and yells (referred to as "kihap") …

  11. After the latest MSFS 2024 Sim Update 3 of today, there seems to have been some enhancements to the German Cities. However, I'm not much of a city visitor...🙂...Plus, with PG being (pretty much) perpetually off on my Xbox system...to avoid the (ungainly) sights of pyramidal structures and melted buildings...🙂...I am never sure what I would expect to see in the cities up and close. Anyway, today, I just felt triggered for taking one of my (regular) short trips in Germany (since I haven't done so in ages). Here, I depart from (EDDG) Münster (which is a city in western Germany) then fly mostly across the lowlands and plains (though picturesque in their own rights) with occas…

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Presenting a darn nice cargo hauling trip recreating historic real world Northern Air Cargo 737-200C flight from PANC Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport located 5 miles southwest of downtown Anchorage to PAOM Nome Airport located two nautical miles west of the central business district of Nome Cargo being loaded into the plane. Yep somebody in Nome got rich either from fishing catches or oil strike findings enough to buy Porchse!! 13. I started simming with Flight Simulator 5.1 : pixelated textures, blocky buildings, squares, triangles to figure cities and mountains. All of that at an impressive 15 FPS in 640x480. 😆 30 years later I think I have reached a form of flightsim nirvana, combining performance, graphics and stability. I had never expected to be able to fly at major hubs with full AI traffic at stable 60 FPS. Here is my detailed hardware and software setup. Not pretending to be the Holy Grail, I just wanted to share my experience. Keep in mind everything below is housed in an ITX NR200P V2 case, so ymmv. 📟CPU : 7800X3D PBO negative -30 on all cores …

  15. This past week, I was speaking with someone who happens to be the youngest grandfather of all the grandfathers that I know (or have known) in my life...🙂...The gentleman was preparing for a (family) vacation in Colorado, and he mentioned that he might engage in some fishing activities in one of the (many) lakes in the Rockies. In particular, "Lake Granby" was mentioned as a potential candidate. So, today, I wished to do a bit of sightseeing by flying out of Denver (KDEN) and then heading for this so-called "Lake Granby", for some virtual fishing of my own...🙂... Lake Granby is located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, northwest of Denver, about 90 miles by road, w…

  16. ...🙂...OK...this time it's a complete and determined long-haul of about 3,000 miles...with no excuses and no short-cuts taken...starting with a cold & dark cockpit, while replicating a RW flight mimicking a RW schedule, and, significantly, no increased sim rate...since that is not for the puritan simmers as I understand...🙂...not that I myself come anywhere close to that definition. I'd recently attempted a 10,000 miles ultra-long-haul flight from Sydney to New York (to replicate one of the proposed (and future) Qantas Sunrise Project 10,000+ miles scheduled service). This Qantas flight would set new records as the longest distance a (normal) human like you and me (as…

  17. Flight from GIG to NAT operated by the old Varig flagship. The beginning of the 90ths it was a sensation, you could enter in the cockpit or even ask to see the landings from the jump seat. Of course it was easy being a kid and not offering any harm to the flight crew 😂. The aircraft in question it was an 727-100 and it was also my first time flying the 727. This it was my first time flying alone. Boarding the aircraft...you can see Ms2020 almost got it right with the Concord. Normally it was the Air France and not BA. Start the descending to NAT

  20. I have been lately flying high and fast...🙂...in ultra-haul jetliners such as the A350 and B777. So, for a change of pace, I wished today, to do a scenic (low and slow) exploration flight. And, of course, New Zealand (especially the South Island of New Zealand) came foremost to my mind...where else...🙂...? For this flight, I track along one of my most favorite natural landmarks, a river, and, here, South Island's Waitaki River, a most significant one in all of New Zealand. Waitaki River is not only a symbol of deep historical and cultural significance for both the indigenous Māori people and European settlements, but also, in modern times, it has been a key source of hydr…

  23. After my brief (and successful) tryst flight with the 777F in Xbox...🙂...(see my earlier post, if you wish), I got back today to flying the Airbus A350-900 that has been lately sitting idle in my Library...with probably a sense of melancholy...🙂..., been unceremoniously "de-streamed" in favor of my new and shiny 777F. So, today, I streamed it back into action, along with the acquisition of a (fresh) European Livery Pack of new uniforms for it from the Marketplace. I wished to fly this A350-900 in the colors of Iberia, the flag carrier of Spain. For this post, I fly along the northern border of Spain, over and along the Pyrenees mountain range that stretches more than 270 …

  24. Started by andy1252,

Haven't posted anything for a while. Combination of factors, but I've been using the sim a fair bit and finally got round to sorting my endless screenies out. One of the reasons for not posting has been that my images seem to be suffering from a bit of washing out in the sky/cloud department. I use the X-Box Game Bar for my grabs, as I run HDR and the XBGB grabs both an HDR image and a standard (non-HDR) PNG each time. But in recent months those PNGs have tended towards a washed out look once converted to JPG (which is what I post here). So I end up with images that look crisp and fine on my system, but are a bit off if I post them here. I assume the XBGB software got an …
