No...🙂..., this is not about a Panavia Tornado buzzing low over some scenic mountain range. The "MAX" here refers to the 737 MAX 8 and this post is triggered by a recent 737 MAX post by the same member. After the latest MSFS 2024 Sim Update 3 of today, there seems to have been some enhancements to the German Cities. However, I'm not much of a city visitor...🙂...Plus, with PG being (pretty much) perpetually off on my Xbox system...to avoid the (ungainly) sights of pyramidal structures and melted buildings...🙂...I am never sure what I would expect to see in the cities up and close. I started simming with Flight Simulator 5.1 : pixelated textures, blocky buildings, squares, triangles to figure cities and mountains. All of that at an impressive 15 FPS in 640x480. 😆 30 years later I think I have reached a form of flightsim nirvana, combining performance, graphics and stability. I had never expected to be able to fly at major hubs with full AI traffic at stable 60 FPS. Here is my detailed hardware and software setup. This past week, I was speaking with someone who happens to be the youngest grandfather of all the grandfathers that I know (or have known) in my life...🙂...The gentleman was preparing for a (family) vacation in Colorado, and he mentioned that he might engage in some fishing activities in one of the (many) lakes in the Rockies. Flight from GIG to NAT operated by the old Varig flagship. The beginning of the 90ths it was a sensation, you could enter in the cockpit or even ask to see the landings from the jump seat. Of course it was easy being a kid and not offering any harm to the flight crew 😂. The aircraft in question it was an 727-100 and it was also my first time flying the 727. I have been lately flying high and fast...🙂...in ultra-haul jetliners such as the A350 and B777. So, for a change of pace, I wished today, to do a scenic (low and slow) exploration flight. After my brief (and successful) tryst flight with the 777F in Xbox...🙂...(see my earlier post, if you wish), I got back today to flying the Airbus A350-900 that has been lately sitting idle in my Library...with probably a sense of melancholy...🙂..., been unceremoniously "de-streamed" in favor of my new and shiny 777F. So, today, I streamed it back into action, along with the acquisition of a (fresh) European Livery Pack of new uniforms for it from the Marketplace. Haven't posted anything for a while. Combination of factors, but I've been using the sim a fair bit and finally got round to sorting my endless screenies out. One of the reasons for not posting has been that my images seem to be suffering from a bit of washing out in the sky/cloud department. I use the X-Box Game Bar for my grabs, as I run HDR and the XBGB grabs both an HDR image and a standard (non-HDR) PNG each time. But in recent months those PNGs have tended towards a washed out look once converted to JPG (which is what I post here). So I end up with images that look crisp and fine on my system, but are a bit off if I post them here. I assume the XBGB software got an …

I parked the fabulous Fenix in the garage for the duration of the vacation. I rented the classic and robust 172 for a short stay in the north of France.I love this new Map and FS2020 is getting even more fabulous.
