Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/

- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Yesterday morning, I watched a great movie/documentary on Youtube. It made me want to fly over this area I love so much, in MSFS2024 (SU4 Beta 1.6.21.0). I choose to start from Santa Barbara (Orbx Addon), an airport I know in real and it’s also where the helicopter in the movie is based. Say Intentions created the ambiance with VFR traffic and associated radio chatter. My flight ended at Santa Ynez (KIZA) as the two cubs in the movies are based. I download the freeware but the rendition was a mess in MSFS204. Autogen buildings on top of the addon (MSFS2020 only) and fuel in the middle of the apron. So no pic at destination. I took the Slin Sav…

You might already know there was a (recent) update to the iniBuilds A340-300 airliner, 2 days ago, on Oct.28. And, yesterday, the day after, I caught this update on my Xbox, the v1.0.2 A343 streamed and ready to go...🙂...so, there was nothing to do on my part (the beauty of streaming...🙂...I now recall going frantically hither and thither for updates...in my early FSX days...🙂...). The availability of (prompt and timely) incremental updates for Xbox is something I have never experienced in the last 5 years of MSFS (Xbox users are always the last to get it...🙂...). So, kudos to iniBuilds for keeping us Xbox-users in mind. After all, we Xbox-ers may not be professional-grad…

Here's a little preview screenshot post of the Black Square Baron Professional. I recently picked up GotFriend's A-32 Vixxen which includes a quaint but beautiful little grass strip just north of Johnstown, Ohio (5OI8). With a stiff west wind and plenty of power I was able to get the Baron off the ground without much effort. We're heading almost straight south to Tri-State airport, which lies just in the northwestern corner of West Virginia. Here the Ohio River separates Ohio from West Virginia while Big Sandy River separates Kentucky from West Virginia. It's a lovely area this time of year too! I initially file an IFR for 8000 ft, direct. I filed for 190 ktas …

PMDG DC-6A flying from VECA to ZPDQ, [couldn't find Kumming in MSFS 2020]. Went okay until 15 minutes to go when the DC-6 began to lose power at 21,000'. Need to figure out why. T45

In a few recent posts here, I've heard the name "Ohio River", and, therefore, been wishing for some time to visit this river via a (virtual) flight. This is a river I'm rather familiar with from my past associations with it. I've crossed the bridges over Ohio River at many cities, multiple times, with few of the cities that readily comes to my mind being Pittsburgh (PA), Cincinnati (OH), Wheeling (WV), Louisville (KY). If one likes rivers and bridges, these sites are always interesting (a delightful combo of made-made and nature-made attractions...🙂...). On one of my many (annual) eastward roadway trips, from Columbus (OH) to Washington, D.C., I singularly recall, once, d…

I always like to wrap up my B2B series of long-haul a/c SIM flights, with a short (or very short) route. After all, one can beg the (reluctant) family members (aka the other virtual co-pilots on my roster...🙂...) ...only for so much assistance; as the SIM's "real" Co-pilots seat quietly (and unresponsively), either looking smug or pretty...🙂...while swinging their heads side-to-side in a robotic (and completely non-human) fashion. So, here we go, as I fly here the shortest (RW) Airbus A350-900 route in U.S., from (KDTW) Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport to (KMSP) Minneapolis–Saint Paul International Airport; all by myself, the PIC, without any support from another…

After recently catching RockOla's (nice) MSFS2024 Airbus A350 post...🙂... (see it, if you wish), I wished to fly the A350 myself in my Xbox system (to increase my Return on the (sizeable) Investment...🙂...). As I was then looking through my Add-on Repaint Packs (2 European and 1 Asian) that I'd purchased in the Marketplace for the iniBuilds A350, the Thai Airways livery caught my attention. I do not recall ever flying Thai Airways in MSFS (either in 2020 or 2024). However, I distinctly recall flying it, in my earlier SIMs, especially the airliners from its historic fleet such as DC-8/DC-9/DC-10/MD-11 (btw, we need the DC-8 and DC-10 in our MSFS...it feels a bit lonely aro…

Hi simmers ☺️ Some more Concorde snaps, this is my first flight with a working CIVA-INS now what is made easy to use and was working well. The Autoland phase has also been revised and now works noticeably better than before. As a Concorde fan ( because we don't have any others in MSFS ), I'm delighted that meaningful updates are still being released three years after the actual Release. If you want to see the shots in the best resolution then please click on the picture !! cheers

Smooth flight, with Activesky Weather / inibuilds A350 / AIG From Paris Orly LFPO to La Réunion-Roland-Garros FMEE I am quite amazed by the progress done on MSFS 2024 + A350 performance-wise. I remember early flights ending in slideshow approaches.

Before I bid farewell to Lima (Peru), see my previous post, and I return home to a dreary, rainy, windy, cloudy, wintry day...🙂...around here today, I wished to explore a bit the vicinity of Lima airport. Lima is a most interesting place on earth, with rather unique and strange geographical elements (seemingly almost extra-terrestrial like terrain...🙂...) to say the least. The city is in a coastal desert with the staggering (Andes) mountains to the east, and the vast Pacific Ocean to the west. When I travelled via this flight just about 20 miles east from the airport (see the MSFS Map shot #s (2, 3), below, for my region of exploration), I quickly ran headlong into these …

Here we go for one more test flight - just before SU4 1.6.16 gets release - in Southern California. Purpose was to challenge MSFS2024 of course and test SayIntentions VFR only with the new VFR injection. The planned route in Foreflight with the FLY San Diego chart. Departing just at the Mexican border, at Brown Field KSDM, towards downtown and the Coronado bridge, then proceed overhead San Diego international for the Delta transition northbound. Finally, land at Montgomery Field KMYF. All this at 1’500 feet with the WBSim C172. Here we are on ground: Let’s set everything for SayIntention: ATIS on COM2, Ground and Tower on COM1, Departure frequency on stand…

Before I clarify my (clickbait) Title...🙂..., imagine first the following scenario: You are in the command of a Boeing 737-800 and have just flown 1,500 miles from the origin airport; now in the last couple of miles of your flight on the final approach to your destination airport. You are barreling down the final 500 ft of (AGL) altitude with your intended runway already in sight, for touchdown. So far, this all seems perfectly normal, and is nothing un-usual, but unaware, you're barely a minute or two from total disaster! You're lined up for the wrong Runway 16L, previously (and actually) been cleared for an approach to the parallel Runway 16R! Moreover, your Runway…
