If you like helicopters, do yourself a favor and download this free mod for DCS World (which is also free 😉). Absolutely WONDERFUL flight dynamics - light, responsive, and pretty much as "stick and rudder" as it gets. Search for "DCS: A/MH-6J by Tobsen & Eightball". Their GitHub should come right up.

Quality aircraft for Xplane 11/12, lots of paints available, possibly some differences to the original PMDG FMS, don't know this precisely in any detail. I was a Marine but I never made this trip in real life. I did live on Kaneohe Bay from 1966 to 1968 when I was a toddler. Marines train on the Big Island of Hawaii where they get to shoot big guns. I did get to fly a C130 from Okinawa to Camp Fuji in Japan I even got to climb Mt. Fuji in 1992.

Enjoying this bird quite a bit. Flying on "Pilot" difficulty and refueling level keeps you extremely busy, making a successful flight very rewarding. Hello all, I've given myself the challenge of flying around the world, starting and finishing at London Gatwick. I thought it would be nice to document and share my trip - although I didn't think of this when I started! Nevertheless, I already have a bunch of screenshots to bring it up to date. I'm really bad for always flying routes and airports I know, generally in airliners. Doing this forces me to lots of new countries and airports, which I would probably not otherwise visit! For this trip, I've chosen the TBM930. I didn't want to do the whole thing at 36,000ft in an airliner, missing scenery and not having the option to land at smaller airfields. But, …

My parents flew this plane to Germany in 1962. I flew in a C130 from Okinawa to Tokyo and Camp Fuji in 1992 and I got to climb Mt. Fuji while in the Marines. I'd like to do the flight in the CS C130 but don't know the radio navigation I'll have to learn it. The Connie is similar enough for me to dream I'm on the flight from Tokyo back to Okinawa.
