The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

According to online research the McDonnel Douglas MD-11F can carry over 900,000 standard plastic kitchen spatulas in its cargo hold, (limited by weight and not volume) given a relatively light fuel load such as on a short-haul flight from Phoenix AZ KPHX to Vancouver CA CYVR. To validate the findings we loaded up before dawn, got the flight plan entered into the MCDU and fired her up. Of course by the time we got all that done and received clearance to taxi to the active, the sun was already peeking over the horizon but it was still a nice morning for getting up into the sky. Always amazing how fast the sun rises and sets in the desert! …

Today, I was practicing a Cold & Dark engines-start-up sequence on the (iniBuilds) A350 (see the 2nd and 3rd screenshots below). Then, with the British Airways livery for the A350, ready on hand, I thought I might as well go ahead and do a long-haul flight with it, choosing to fly from (KORD) Chicago O'Hare to (EGLL) London Heathrow. For visualization of this route, see the SimBrief Flight Plan (shot #4) and a (FlightAware) RW Flight Plan (shot #5). SimBrief Flight Plan is the one I flew today with an A350-1000. The RW Flight Plan was flown within the last 24 hours by a British Airways 787-10, leaving Chicago yesterday, Thursday, evening 5pm (local), and arriving in L…

I treated myself to some new MSFS2024 scenery today; Bratislava (Slovakia) and Dubrovnik (Croatia), so I flew a RYR flight between the two. The routing sees you leave Slovakia to the south, overflying Hungary, Croatia, Bosnia and back into Croatia (which is a horse-show shape, with mountainous Bosnia in the middle). The default scenery over the Bosnian mountains is really stunning. My highly compressed JPEG doesn't do it justice. Check it out for yourself!

Hi simmers ☺️ Finally, the amazing paint artist Fscabral (found at flightsim.to) has released his fantastic paint job for the MD-11 for MSFS2020, which I've been waiting for so long now. Since the old paint job no longer worked because TFDi has been updated, it now works again because I love this AAL paint the most and Fscabral made it so incomparably brilliant for the MD-11 – stunning work for me !! one more.. If you want to see the shots in the best resolution then please click on the picture !! cheers

It's midweek, and chores galore around here...🙂...e.g., our kitten (about to become an adult) is a bit sick in the stomach. BTW, his upcoming adulthood made me think how old is a 1-year-old cat in human years? It's not as easy to convert cat age to human age, as you might think. Here below are the formulae, I found, where X(N) is the human equivalent age of an N-year old cat. So, here we go: X (1) = 15 X (2) = X (1) + 9 [Note: It seems, though "15" is universally agreed upon, opinion divided among the Feline experts, whether the increment for age 2, should be "9" or "10"...🙂...] X (N>2) = X (2) + 4 * (N-2) [So, e.g., at age N=17, the cat would rea…

The route and track log, as seen from Foreflight iPad app: Not that common to take off from runway 4: Left turn after departure, heading north: Overflying LAX: Say Intentions cleared me for the left hand downwind 21 where I was targeted the right downwind existing more or less the Special Flight Rules corridor 😉 : With the C172, "Chop and drop" from the Special Flight Rules - northbound is 4'500 ft - to land runway 21 at Santa Monica:

I will let the pictures speak for themself this time. I was only connected as an observer and therefore not real weather in use, and the reason for that was that I looked at the preview of the weather and decided that I wanted to be sure to at least see more than 4 aircrafts at a time. I got the code of conduct rules as first comment on VATSIM's FB page, so I am not taking any chances. Made me read the code of conduct, and you are encouraged to use real time weather, but you need to meet a minimum requirement of having the winds, temperature and pressure as real life, so you can have clear skies during a storm as long as you have those 3 components, and it i…

The (PMDG) Boeing 737-900 variant (the native MSFS2024 version) was released a week ago, and PMDG followed suit quickly enough to make this 739 also available in the Marketplace, within a week of the initial release, for the Xbox kids...🙂...After been away for a few days, I returned today to Chicago to a bright and sunny day, topped by a clear, cloudless, and blue sky overhead. The temperatures hovered around mid 40s, but I noticed that all the snow that had persisted on the ground for several weeks, due to the bitter cold temperatures, have now completely disappeared. Still, many suburban (and local) lakes and ponds seem to have ice on them, partially frozen over on the …
