The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

The runway at Monument Valley remains as breathtaking as ever. The approach is also a little bit tricky when it’s hot and windy. And you have to make up your mind soon for the go around. It’s a one way landing runway. For this little flight of 30 minutes, the departure airfield (Page, KPGA) is also a scenic airport with the Lake Powell. The route is just a visual delight. Enjoy. With summer (finally) in full motion around here, I took my first walk of this year in my favorite (local) park and nature trail where two small rivers (actually more like streams...🙂...) meet. The rivers are the West Branch and the East Branch of the DuPage River, converging within this park, to be then called DuPage River (proper). Around here, there is no shortage of establishments and business entities named after this river: DuPage County, DuPage Township, DuPage Hospital, College of DuPage, DuPage River Trail...and so on... The DuPage River, I learned, took its name from a French Trader who settled on the fork of the river (merger point of the two branches, men…

I'm departing Blue Canyon Nyack to A30 on a late afternoon into evening flight. The flight is "only" 170 miles but I end up hitting a huge headwind, so I pull the power way back and enjoy the scenery. I picked up both of these airports as a bundle - both feature Pilot Controlled Lighting! (I think irl BLU doesnt have lighting) but I was really excited to try as this is a feature I think all sims should have by default. In real life, when you approach a small airfield, the lights aren't always on, and you have to key your mic 5 or 7 times to get the edge lights on. It's another great day to fly! We're flying the Torquesim SR22 (with Avidyne Entegr…

MSFS2024 convinced me to make world and country tours all over again, and this time to try and keep some kind of track about it. So here are some selected photos of my 2025 Greek tour. You can see the tour and more photos as it goes on here : https://apps.estassinos.com/fs-tours/#/tour/2025GR1 - It is a little app i made for myself to keep track of things.

Today, I thought to myself, in my recent couple of flights, I've visited the (remarkable) region of Scandinavian Peninsula located near the top-of-the-world and explored bits of its beautiful and rugged landscape...that is so remotely (physically and mentally) separated from these (monotonous) flatlands of Lake Michigan...🙂... (BTW, Chicago to Narvik/Norway distance (ENEV is my destination today) is 5,000+ flight miles; see below). For fun, I checked a bit on FlightAware. Here e.g., is one way one can travel from KORD to ENEV: Take SAS Airbus A333 (A330-300) from (KORD) Chicago (non-stop) for 4,400 miles to (EKCH) Copenhagen (9 hours 26 mins) Continue …

First of all, as you might know the MSFS marketplace is currently a strange mixture of MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 entities (duly tagged, of course, and easy to filter per your preference). And the PMDG 737-600 has been one of my perennial Boeing favorites since the earliest days I'd experienced the very first PMDG a/c (737-600/700 NG was released for FS9 in 2003, 22 years ago, but the memory of it is still fresh in my mind...🙂...the -600/-700 NG combo would appear in FSX 8 years later in 2011 but the P3D aviators would wait another 4 years for it till 2015...). Today, I am flying the same PMDG 737-600 (from the same esteemed publisher) here for the 2nd time in MSFS2024. …

I wanted to share my feeling on how cockpit panel textures of these birds fell different. Screen shots sharing doesn't at all reflect my personal feeling 😉 : Carenado is way more precise (high resolution) than the Just Flight. Just Flight: Carenado: Just Flight: Carenado: Just Flight: Carenado:

The program for this short flight with Just Flight Piper PA28-160 Warrior: have a lunch at Kern Cafe. Let's take off from Bakersfield Meadows (KBFL), leave the valley and get into the mountain to reach Isabella Lake, then join Kern Valley (L05). I forgot to check MOA activity 😉 MSFS2024 | SU3 | Real time weather | Pc configuration and MSFS settings here. Parked at the Epic Jet Center FBO, just in front of some small stuff: Program of the day, as seen from (iPad) Foreflight: Today, we'll depart from runway 30R. Had a stunning approach yesterday late afternoon to Paris as AFR99RJ. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed the flight from Oslo. Map Enhancement, Dynamic LOD and the Fenix is the addons in use. Like to be in control of when my TLOD changes so that is why I am using DynamicLOD and not AutoFPS. 50 on the ground and set to 400 when passing FL150.

PMDG 777-200ER on its way into Rwy 26L at EDDP, Leipzig, after departing Gatwick. The PMDG 777 does not yet function in MSFS 2024, SU3 Beta. I had to take MSFS 2024 back to SU2, & then the 777-200ER flew very smoothly, including an Autoland. T45

Finally managed to leave my Fenix behind for a little bit to test out the other models that's available for the Airbus. Good looking models so I have quite a few 4K images (little bit embarassing almost, but not long since I discovered that tool in devmode). Very satisfied with how my sim is running now and it feels magical to have a sim that works perfectly and only a check in my addon linker before flights is needed before startup. Using Map Enhancement (Apple\Bing) and three different models as addons in short in these images. I recommend right-clicking each and open it in a new tab for the original resolution. …

In one of my previous posts with the (fictitious) FedEx A333P2F freighter (see it, if you wish), I had flown the iniBuilds A330-300 from FedEx's central hub (Memphis/KMEM) to one of its major (satellite) hubs, Miami/KMIA. In that post, I'd remarked about the A300/A310 freighters, of which FedEx is (and has been) a prolific operator, currently flying 64 A300Fs (-600s) and previously having flown 70 A310Fs (-200s/-300s). I've been lately reading up a bit more about FedEx's A300/A310 freighters. First of all, it's worth noting that FedEx retired its (last) A310F (a "-300F" variant) a few years ago, in 2020. However, the carrier still continues to operate the A300-600Fs. …
