The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
  • AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Various randoms from my recent explorations. I've been following some of the threads about all the problems with this broken sim (2024) and it feels like I must have a different version. I've also been following one about the Ifly 737 and the various aspects of flying that aircraft. And I don't have the slightest idea what most of the terminology in that thread even relates to! I'm just happy that 2024 is giving me exactly what I want from my sim - a mostly spectacular world to explore. I don't have the same urge I had in 2020 to trawl around complex airports, or constantly experiment with new aircraft, I'm just happy to discover amazingly well-presented areas and take lo…

  3. Even if you've not (yet) migrated to FS2024 (for good reasons of your own), nor are currently in the dual MSFS mode...🙂..., you might know that MSFS/Asobo had long touted a Boeing 737 MAX 8, among the default aircraft set for MSFS2024, in the launch videos. This is an aircraft type of much interest to me. In fact, just a few months ago, for my trip from Chicago to Orlando, I'd deliberately chosen an (outgoing) flight leg with United in their 737 MAX 9, in lieu of an A320, that the (UAL) Reservation Tool was trying to corner me into, and I beat the system...🙂...That was my first ever flight in a 737 MAX. It was a nice flight, though not feeling much different from a (regul…

  7. Earlier this week, a curious thing happened to me. Out of the blue, from nowhere, I unexpectedly received a Text Message from an old friend of mine, with whom I used to be in regular touch during my stint of domicile, long ago, in the state of Ohio (he then lived in Michigan). What made it curious is that I knew he had long since moved to Dubai (see my previous post...🙂...if you like...) in some professional capacity. The message contained just one cryptic word, "Congratulations...!". I was puzzled why would this (old) college-day friend of mine, from half-way across the world, after several years of silence, suddenly send me congratulatory wishes...especially because I c…

  9. First of all, this Beluga is the last iniBuilds (Airbus) aircraft that I had not yet tested in my Xbox/MSFS2024, which prompted me for this post. You might know, among all the (payware/freeware) iniBuilds a/c for MSFS2020/2024, there is a total number of 6 Airbus types (if I counted right) that are all available by "default" (and "Streamed in") in MSFS2024: Airbus A310-300, Airbus 330-200/300, A320neo, A321LR, A400M, and A330-743L Beluga XL (subject of this post). Unless you are puritan simmer...🙂...with expectations of professional grade fidelity and rendition, this is, indeed, an impressive collection of "free" (Airbus) aircraft, perfectly suitable for the average simme…

I fly with live weather and both airstrips, Raba Raba as my starting point and Aragip as my destination, are long enough to handle my plane. The smoke below my plane is not from the plane but from small fires on the ground Thanks for viewing

From the Past, probably 2021-2022, and in Groups of Three. Btw, the Ai aircraft were of the Latin VFR variety before FSLTL traffic was released. Of course to enjoy a larger image [CLICK THE PIC]. Hopefully, you enjoyed these images, your commentary is greatly appreciated...Darryl

  15. [Read or view, as you wish...🙂...Either way, hope you enjoy...] Big (and long) rivers have always fascinated me. On the home front, I'm sufficiently familiar with two of the major (and the longest) rivers in U.S., the Mississippi and the Missouri. I've visited many times the confluence of these two rivers, in St. Louis, Missouri, a site of natural wonder, forming one of the most important river systems in the U.S. Missouri is also the river that most prominently featured in the Lewis and Clark expedition, as the Corps of Discovery traveled westward up this river (i.e., against its currents), opening the in-land passage to the Pacific Ocean. And, on the Mississippi River…
