Hi everyone.I have a problem in running Fs2004 on two monitors. I have hooked up the monitors to a NVidia 5700 graphics card on Windows 2000 as a dual display. However, when I start Fs2004, it only displays on 1 monitor. Any suggestions?Theo, South Africa:-sun1

Hello all,I just managed to build my first LAN: two PC's linked by some cross cable. Seems to work. Of cause there's just one goal: using the second PC's screen for GPS or some other window. Now: how do I get the GPS onto the other screen? I already undocked it's window. (What) do I need more? Do I have to get and install WideFS/FSUIPC ? Whats the next step ?Maybe someone knows where to find some relevant message posted here long time ago on this item ?Thanks alot.HarryS

So I've started work on my 737 cockpit. I'm got my IOCards built and ready to go. Now I'm looking at the cockpit pics on airliners.net and want to know what the differences are between the 6/7/8/900 series as well as the BBJ/BBJ2 are.Is there a list of what the differences are somewhere? When I start making my glare shield and such I want to know exactly which I'm going to build and why I'm building that particular model. If I end up going after a 737-800, I want to be accurate to the 800 series and not end up with a mix of 700, 800, and 900 stuff. Thanks much,-Jaime

I have had problems with the "keyboard/mouse" object, and there aren't any easy tutorials or instructions on this (mine is in preparation). So i thought better to post here where many people reads. The facility does actually work, but it soffers from many bugs: your setup is not correctly stored and saved. So whatever you write in the config window when running FSBUS, it will never recognize it as you typed it.Solution is to manually enter the config in your .fb2 file.Once you create a KEYB/MOUSE object, open the fb2 file you stored it in, and look for that object.Once you find it, do this5th field is the cid (it won't store a "0" cid) so set this to your needs (o to act whe…

Hi all, im newbie here and i got a big problem!:)First problem is my english which is really poor, sorry for that.Ok,i got some planes to build my own throttle (well i got them a lot and its not good anyway:)but problem is that i wanna have a 4 engines throttle, flaps lever and speed brakes + 4 fuel switches and maybe reverse thrust for each engine.Well i know how to build it but i dunno what i can do if i got only 4 axis and 4 buttons to take from my gameport device...?Is it possible to connect them all to one game port without any additional cards?Ok,lets say that i'll make a throtle for 2 engines only,is it good to use 3'rd axis for flaps or maybe switches are better way…

Hi,in mu Summer plans is to start making my FMC for PM or PMDG's 737So in my checklist i have already a BW TV monitor 5,5'' and to make a PCB to put the keys and Plexi for the front/external.The only problem is how to make keys to communicate with FS.FsBUS: Propably NOI have already the FsBus, but is not so good with keyboard commands, as it is too complicate and may not support all the special combinations (Shift+Tab+X).Hangstrom KEyboard Encoder: Propably NOExpensive to import it in Greece from USASo i'm looking if there is any other solutions you suggest. Maybe something like FsBus, but with better functionality in keyboard commnads? This solution is prefered as may us…

Past May 28th, 29th and 30th took place in Salamanca (Spain) the Simuvuelo 2004 and the 2nd Iberic Simulation Meeting (Spain and Portugal). In addition of all the activities made there, we highlight the presentation about the "IOCards" project, where we could see a demonstration of a B737 MCP (see picture below). This MCP is a copy of the ones made by Honeywell for Boeing, and it has been made by our friend Angel Amado using IOCards.http://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/images/mcp.gif

I am makeing my own cad file for the mcp...Well, by 7-segs displays are 13,8mm by 18mm (pretty standard), but i found that the "holes" in the real mcp, for a 5 cyphres display, are 40mm.... that makes for displays 8mm wide!Since the step is 2.54mm it can't be that small, unless going with smd or the likes....What did you do to solve this problem?

Hi all,I'm buildung my homecockpit. I put a monitor behind the MIP to show the eicas and the standby-instruments. Because the monitor has a screen curvature (hope it's the right english word), I only can see the standby-instruments if I look from sideview.Do you have any idea to make it better, so you can see the instruments in normal frontview?Regards,Thorsten

Multiple shaft encoders are really costly and difficult to buy.But there is another solution: hollow shaft encoders. This way you can stack virtually any number of them.Even 10! (if you are good enough at machining anyway :()Now to find these! They aren't sold anywhere!I triedfarnellrs componentselfadigikeydistrelecAnd nobody has.The thing i am speaking about you can see herehttp://www3.alps.co.jp/pdf/2004pdf/pdf_e/S...corder_spec.pdfLook for the hollow shaft encoders.Any help where to find these would be helpfull.

Hi,I'm using FsBUS and FreeFD. FreeFD is on my client-pc, also FsClient.I did the following:I made a new switch and a new keyboard event for it.I want, that the airports are shown on the ND, when I press a button on my EFIS.In the FsClient.ini my ND is "N".I put this string into the keyboard/mouse-eventWN;K+AI thought, that WN tells FsClient, that I mean my ND.But it doesn't work. Only when I switched to my ND by the mouse and then switching the botton, it works.FsClient doesn't switch to the ND on its own. Please, can anybody help me?Regards,ThorstenMy

Has anyone has taken the plunge and tried to "extend" the functions of their CH USB Yoke by adding new buttons/levers/switches?It seems that it would be possible to access the built-in USB interface of the yoke and that this interface likely has room for additional input devices. Anyone already played around with the guts of this system?
