Last news update to their site 15 may .. that's almost 1 month ago .. stating that they were almost ready to kick off.I am so curious to know their prices and what exactly they will sell.I've sent a few mails during the past year to ask some questions and I have to say .. very friendly people .. much unlike Pete Dowson (sorry can't help it but think he's an ********* :( )Anyone knows more 'bout DakenSky ?

Quick question,I seem to have 'acquired' a real artificial horizon. My assumption is that these work via a gyro, and that any deflection shown is by actual movement of the airframe. As my Sim is very much fixed, I'm assuming that it is not possible to have this gyro showing the output from FS2004?Or am I wrong? Thanks a million.Chris

For a while now I've been talking about putting together a bulk purchase for Rotary Encoders to be used with the REDec FSBUS circuit. After alot of research with many different Encoders we have decided on the Bourns ECW1J-B24-AC0024. These are high quality encoders for such a small price. Works well with both MCP & Radio tuning and works without a hickup. Each encoder costs $4.80 and that will include postage from Newcastle, NSW. They are required to be ordered in lots of 45 so thats the reason behind the bulk order. Also payment is upfront. If your interested, please reply to this thread.Kind Regards,

Awesome ! This building a less comon type of airlplane cockpit seems to have its advantages !A few days ago some guy contacted me via e-mail telling me he could maybe find some stuff for my cockpit to use.Now it turns out he works at Hoofddorp near Amsterdam and he works at a training center (CAE => no idea what that stands for) where the other dude I know (Fokker50 pilot at KLM Cityhopper) has had a MCC (=> again no idea what it stands for) traning from ... guess whom .. indeed the first dude ! :(Now this teacher has invited me there for a visit to the real deal sim. No hydrolic structure though .. but none the less .. sounds like loads of fun !Check the pictures…

Reading the thread 'bout the throttles and how to wire them I was thinking 'bout my future arrangement. At the moment I have a stripped sidewinder joystick giving me 4 pots. I need 5 so I bought a simple soundcard and now I use 2 of the gameport analogue inputs. However indeed it doesn't give satisfying result with the power in FS being very unstable even when using sheilded cable and such. The idea to use the MiniMe comes up again. However, I do not know where to buy the chip needed and most important I am not able to flash it.I know there is a flas-card suggested on which you can mount the chip, flash it, then use it on your MiniMe card. However I think all this added…

Greetings fellow pilots.I wanted to post something on the subject for quite a long time as I would love to know how others feel about this.Personally, I'm getting a bit frustrated on how the commercial panel developers ignore the home cockpit builders. Sure, a couple of years ago there were only a few builders around, but with the release of FSBUS, OpenCockpits etc, the number has drammatically increased. And will increase further. Those of us who do not 'see' Flight Simulator as a 'game' want to move forward at some point of time and stop using the mouse and keyboard and start using physical switches as much as possible.I'm one of them. I fly with MSFS since FS2 was rele…

Hello all,Well I finaly have a pic of my Sim project that I started last WednesdayThis is the Co-pilot yoke and colum, the captains yoke is in the same state of completion. Just thought I'd share, I need to do more sanding, the handles and middle are solid wood carved from 3- 2"X 6" pices. The colum and switch casing are PVC pipe.. alittle more and I'll be able to paint them Boeing brown and hook up the connecting wires to connect the yokes, comments are gladly welcome , have a great day,

Does anyone know if there are any differences with the different packages crystals come in? I've been offered some low profile crystals and I've been using the standard large packaging recommended for FSBUS?Could anyone let me know please?Regards,

Hi All,Has anyone used FSbus Servo bd to show trim position.I have attempted to but i cannot get it to work the way it shows in the panel.I have the Flap indicator working ok but this controll has range of 0 to 16383.The trim value goes from -16383 to + 16383.The servo wants to travel its full range from Neutral to say nose up.Then when it gets to neutral again and hits a negative value the servo goes to the opposite end and completes a full travel for the section between neutral and full trim.In a nutshell what i am saying is that you cannot have the servo start at one end and go through neutral to the other end in one continuous movement. The way it does work, the gauge m…

Just thought I'd post a pic of the cockpit Im building. Its loosely based on the CRJ... itll use Project Magenta's regional jet glass cockpit, GoFlight autopilot and switches on the glare shield and its throttle and gear lever on the center console.Im about ready to seal and paint the main panel, then Ill start detailing the pedestal. Probably put a bunch of fake switches and stuff, gettting ready for the day when I can add the real things.John WhiteNewburgh, IN

Hello, I am new to the idea of "sim cockpits" and I want to build a radio stack for use with the PMDG 737NG, or other aircraft. Below is a basic top-down view of what the basic layout of the switches will be. Now, how exactly would I build this to make it react with FS? Hopefully, I will be able to use LED's for the COM, NAV, TRANSPONDER and ADF displays, but I don't have a clue about how to change the values with a nob. I have never programmed anything before, and I'm not to computer literate besides the fact of basic hardware upgrades (i.e. HDD, RAM Upgrades, Video cards, Sound Cards..etc.)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/81789.jpgThank-yoU! :)

I asked two questions concerning FSUIPC on Pete Dowson's forum. Pete reacted as always immediately but without immediate solutions, because my problems are oriented directly to cockipt building.First question concerns phase shifted rotaries and possibility of detecting turn direction by FSUIPC programming (and especially using one commom input for one pair of contacts on all rotaries). The second question is about "fight" between autopilot in ALT (or APR) mode and analogue trim wheel.Maybe somebody of you will be able to clarify these problems:http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.php?t=25518Steku

The ON-737 project continues its development and now it is about 70% completed.http://www.opencockpits.com/images/on737/pfdiocp.gifThis project simulates all the 737-800 systems by using the IOCP protocol. With this protocol no delays exist when used with IOCards. We show a preview with some pictures of the already developed systems. If you don't have your hardware panels yet, you can use the graphical ones to control all the systems using the mouse.Click HERE and take a look to the screenshots :http://www.opencockpits.com/modules.php?na...showpage&pid=45

A couple of weeks ago I posted some images of a 737-NG throttle quadrant design. Since then the design has been completely redrawn, after visiting and measuring 2 737 cockpits (thanks to the two airlines who asked me not to name them!), so that the electronics, clutches and gears that I will be using can be placed.Progress:Design drawings now 70% complete.Have an engineering company on tap with full CNC capabilities.Have a sheet metal working friend who assures me 'Yeah, that's easy...' (Yeah, right!)Have finalized the components for full autothrottle... (speedbrake and trim wheel yet to do).The intention is for a visually accurate (well, close enough), dimensionally accu…

Hi to everybody! I started to build my 737ng overhead, and I want to do it 100% functionality. The first problem comes here ;) A month ago I saw the Jonathan Richardson PMSystems video. It was incredible. I would like to know where (If they exist) I can find this "special rotary swicthes" for the engine starters.Bests,Borja Perera
