Having put many years and love into my PA28 project, I'm facing having to downsize our home as we're moving in my mum in law to help her out and will not have room for it :( Rather than repeat all the details here, I've linked to the post I made on the XPlane forum, if anyone's interested: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/172580-the-arrow-must-go-cockpit-for-sale/ It's in the UK and on Gumtree. Gents something I've always struggled to get 'right' - well, I accept it can't be made really right without a huge field of view projection and even then is not strictly 'right' - but... I now have the majority of my PA28 panel built. Currently, until I can pick up some bigger screens, I have three 17" LCD's in horizontal span providing a nice wide forward view, just above the glareshield of the panel. The problem is, the view by nature seems to be permanently oriented as if looking to the right (assumedly to simulate being sat on the left seat for better eyepoint). If I position the central column with the compass dead on in the middle of the display, the view …

Hi all- Just bought FSUIPC as I'm building some small controllers. One is a rotary encoder with a pushbutton set up to turn the heading bug on my HSI. It works, but turns s l o w l y. I can set it up to turn fast, but it jumps 10 degrees or so when I do that. Is there a way I can tell FSUIPC to increase the speed based on how fast I'm turning the encoder? Alternately... is there a way I can use the pushbutton to toggle between fast/slow (fine/course) tuning? thanks! Andrew

  7. Hi all, I am in charge of 1743 (Crieff) Sqadron Flight Sim Team of the Air Training Corps. I was simply wandering if there was a way we could have dual controls in our home cockpit with two cheap sticks and rudders. !Please Help! Thanks Cpl

  8. Hi, I am looking for a distributor of Dual Concentric Rotary Encoders (with pushbutton) based in the USA. I am needing one of those devices -apparently manufactured by ELMA- but so far all the suppliers seem to be in Europe. I contacted one in the UK but he never bothered to respond my my queries. The other has a fine product but it costs nearly $100 for a single device, that is way over my budget. I plan to use it for a NAV/COM radio. Also, can anybody suggest me what to look for in an encoder for this application? and what to avoid? I will be writing my own software.

Hey, dear Simbuilders and Prosim Users.I come to you after an unfortunate situation I am experiencing with a company I thought was my best option for purchasing flight controls and rudder pedals for my Boeing 737 NG Simulator. I decided to go for Aircraft Controls Engineering, best known as ACE. Their products were looking good and I decided to try them.I placed my order for a dual flight control system and rudder pedals for my sim on January 2017 with a 3 month payment that I did with a really big effort of a whole year of work, worth around $5,600.00 USD, not a penny though.Payment was completed by late April 2017. Everything was looking good.By June I started to guess …

Dear all, After many learning lessons and a number of modifications over time, my P28R-201 Arrow III cockpit is pretty much done. Its flight model is the excellent vFlyteair Arrow III run into in Xplane. I have an RXP GTN650 running on a touchscreen in the avionics bay to provide COM/NAV/XPDR and flight plans for the rare occasion I'm not flying in VFR (which in England in the winter is nice to have the IFR capability!) I also have Siminnovations Air Manager to provide the main instruments including an EDM900 for engine instrumentation. I have two Leo Bodnar 32-port interfaces for switches and rotaries and a saitek yoke and throttle and pedals. So while I wait for a …

Hey guys, thanks for taking the time to read this post. Currently I'm based in the north of the UK, near Manchester and I'm looking at building a sim. My current budget is somewhere between £10,000 and £15,000 - I know that's not going to get me a full size simulator, however I do see that it'll get me atleast a fully operative captain MIP with FMC's, overhead, throttle and pedestal. I'm not the brightest spark (pun intended) when it comes to electronics, so ideally a setup already built and only a few small jobs would be appreciative but on the other hand, it'd be a good learning curve for me to suss out for building a new hobby. I've been having a look at Jet…

  15. Hi! I have a problem guarding my screens in my homecockpit. So first, let me explain: if you amagine sitting in a normal cockpit, I have a screen right in front of me for my displays, and one over for my exterior view. But the problem is: I can’t look to the sides, nor change other panels than my mip, reason being I do not have a mid panel to my right or an overhead (yet), now you are probably thinking: but Philip, you can just press A! Yes I can press a, but if I do then the monitor on top will change views, and I don’t want that to be changing views because that is my exterior view! So how can I do so if I press a, the monitor with the displays change view? One mor…

Hi, I’m a 14 year old boy from Norway. I have a plan to make a homecockpit in my garage, I already have the saitek pro flight yoke, saitek rudder pedals, saitek throttle and a bunch of monitors. I think it would be cool if I put one screen for each window in the cockpit, and one more for the nav display and the heading monitor. I’m also going to buy either saitek switch panel or saitek mcp. I am not sure if the mcp even can perform an autoland so I think I am going to go for switch panel. Does anyone know if you can auto land with the saitek switch panel, that would be greatly appreciated because that can be my cheap alternative to the goflight mcp. But here is my problem…

Hi, I’m planning on building my own home cockpit. My plan is to have 5 screens, 4 of them goes to the windows, and the last one goes for the navigation display and the other thing I don’t remember the name of to the left. I am also planning on getting instrument panels, saitek flight multi panel is one of them. Does anyone know if you can auto land with this? I think it’s designed for Cessnas, but I think it can be a cheap alternative to goflight mcp. My plan is to make a cockpit for Pmdg b737-800 btw. I can get a saitek radio panel, easy. But the real deal comes now, where am I going to type in my squawk code for example and how am I gonna click the warning lights that p…

  18. I am hoping some experienced home cockpit builders would review my plans and questions (listed below), and provide some insight regarding a multiple monitor setup, so I know what to purchase. I am trying to avoid making any costly mistakes... I’ve been buying hardware to start my home Cockpit Build for P3D. Please note that I have too much invested in Add-ons for P3D, so I am not considering Xplane at this time. In recent months I've invested in the following: Intel 8700K PC running at 5GHZ / Nvidia 1080 Ti / SSDs Brunner CLS-E Yoke Javiator Com1 / Nav 1 Javiator Transponder Replaced my very old CH Pedals with Saitek Combat ped…

Hello from Athens,I need you help to find the dimensions for a 747 cockpit, for the main panel, pedestal etc.I have found in Aerosoft the dimensions of MCP (430X76X200), but i also want to know all the others, like the distance from mcp to pedestal, the main panel width, PFD & ND monitors dimensions and many many other measurements.I don't know if this infomration is easy to find it, or if I will be able to make a real dimensions cockpi, propably not :-), but at least i will be in position to start making something realistic, by keeping the ratio of dimensions between the different panels, gauges etc.GreetingsOAL331Athens-Greece

  22. Hi all! I'm Alex, recently moved to Chicago for a new job. Unfortunately, this means I had to abandon my old setup, but the plans have already started for the new one. I'm looking for help cutting and constructing MDF in the next few weeks for the sim as I don't have anything in the way of tools or facilities to do it all myself. If you are interested (I can provide modest remuneration for your time and effort), PM me and I'll send you an email/text/call so we can meet up. Even if you are a new comer to flight sim or have no idea about flight sim at all (or family/friends/relatives are good with carpentry), no worries, drop me a line! My old setup was basically a fu…

Hello. I've spent most of the day today looking into this multi-projector setup for my basement cockpit. My curent PC is an i7-8700k and a GTX1080ti. I wanted to look into doing a 2 or 3 projector setup to get at least 180 to 210 degree curved screen setup. I know I'll need to use a program to help with the warping such as Immersive Display, but my main question was can my one PC handle it? Here's mys setup: PC 1: Prepar3d v4, iFly 737 various FSDT and Flightbeam airports, ORBX NA LC, Vector, Base, and Toposim's Mesh. Also using UT Live for my AI Traffic. PC2: AS4+ASCA, My ATC software, and my virtual airline software suite. I've read so many posts …

How should I do that using fsupic . ? 2.when using single pole double throw switches, I can have 2 input to a switch for 2 different positions.
