Hi folks, Trying to wrap my head around SIOC scripts but having a little trouble and looking for a little guidance. My goal is to have the PMDG 737NGX light up some LEDs on a panel via FSUIPC offsets. I have a O/C Usb Expansion Card > Master Card > Outputs Breakout Card > LED Using the SIOC test panel, the LED works as expected when output 18 is on/off. So connection wise to the hardware we look good. I also have the [sDK] EnableDataBroadcast=1 in the 737NGX_Options.ini file. So I thought I'd start simple and get the parking brake light to turn on/off (output 18). The 737NGX offset PDF list the parking brake as: Offset: 65A7 Length: 1…

Happy New Year everyone! I have a roller blind presentation artificial horizon from an EE Lightning. It wasn't long before I started to to take it apart and see what was going on inside. At this stage I've removed (and stored) all the original solid state circuitry, The plan (at the moment) is to use the original servos and lighting of the unit. For several reasons I'm not keen to swap them out for DC servos, I don't want to replace all the servo motors, some are in very tight spaces then there is the consideration of the torque involved to move some fairly involved mechanical drives in the instrument. There is also a certain neatness to the concept of keepin…

Hi everyone, Yes I'm visiting Los Angeles, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy between the 24th June till the 5th August. I'm very keen on building a flight Sim at home. Currently looking at Jet Max and was wondering weather anyone out there is building one as well as I would love to see. Please reply to this forum. Even if you have a simulator that you have built is similar I would be interested in seeing. Richard New Zealand

Just curious as to what some of you more experienced folks would say about an idea I had for the future. I was thinking, once I got settled in Georgia, probably sometime next year, starting a project wherein I would build a one person cockpit no bigger than a basic fighter or a Lancer cockpit. If I did this with custom switches and panels, how expensive would it be to get USB emulator boards?

Hello all I am trying to incoorperate a single OC EFIS module in my home built cockpit. (Using GF-Autopilot module as MCP) I am running PMDG 737-600/700 in FS2004 , and on a Windows XP computer. Does any have a script , that works with this setup. Asked the OC support team for help , and they suggested this: 1.- Download and install Sioc 4.2B2. 2.- Download and install Autoconfig 1.5. 3.- Run FS and select your prefered plane. 4.- Plug the EFIS and then run Autoconfig, select your FS and add-on combination and launch it, for example: FSimulator using FSUIPC. 5.- Play as a child with new shoes ;-). Thanks, Somehow it did not work , per…

Hi everyone! I had a few quesitons regarding Project Magenta. I've read the manuals and did my homework on google to no avail. I'm currently a real life NG driver so details to me are very important. I have Project Magenta set up running on 2 computers, no problem. What I have a problem with is PM systems and my EICAS. When I move one starter to GND, N1, N2, EGT and oil PSI all look good but my problem is the START VALVE OPEN light and starter switch turn off when the N2 is around 34% when this is not right, GND switch should spring load back at 56% and the START VALVE OPEN light should extinguish around 4-5 seconds later. Is there any way around this? Is there any…

Anybody know the center-to-center dimensions between the mounting screws on a Go-Flight module? It can be the 166 radio or another module. They should all be the same.I am building a case for some switches, Cessna style throttles and future GO-flight modules. I need to know how wide to make it.John

So Im a PPL that just loves flying so much, I thought I would put myself together a nice simulator both for fun and to practice ILS approaches and be able to take an IFR lesson, then be able to hone my skills for a few days before we move onto something else in the training program... Well, I saved up my pennies and put together a pretty nice setup (which honestly was more work that I forcasted for). My setup is a 4' wide, 5' tall, and 6' long box basically, which I was able to mount a 42"LCD 1080p front display, 2 x 24", and a 15" for I-Panel... Im running a brand new HP H8-1020 i7-2600s Processor at 3.3 ghz, 8gb DDR3 ram, Radeon HD 6570 w/1GB ram and Radeon 5450 w/1GB…

Hi all, I have a little workshop(or rather my folks do outside of Brisbane, I just concreted the floor recently) I also purchased drill press and tools at Farm Fest etc. There is a ton of RHS and other steel available for playing,, I welded straight for 2 weeks making thinhs for the farm before I moved to Brisbane and Im sure no one else is going to' have-at' all the surplus :) A few years ago I purchased windscreen wipers<-- naa, too small. Then I purchased hydraulic stuff off ebay<-- 'forget about it' I found some C# or VB software FSUIPC that allowed me to easily see what the plane was doing. I just had to write a simple frontend to that software for me to vis…

Greetings! I need some advice to assist in clarifying my thoughts - which are confused on this matter. I am putting together a 737 simulation using Flight Deck Solutions MIP, real throttle and real yoke. Everyhting is on track (more or less), however I have questions regarding the computer set up. I have two computers networked. One PC will have FSX installed and the other PC will have Sim Avionics installed. The first PC is the FSX machine and has one video card with 2 outputs (external displays or projector). The 2nd PC which has Sim A installed, has 3 video cards with 6 outputs, will power the monitors and CDU of my Flight Deck Solutions MIP. With regard to other prog…
