Hello everyone!Just a quick video to show the progress of my 737NG cockpit project. This is the IGS approach and landing on runway 13 at the old Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport. Lots of features still to come to the sim: projector seam blending, overhead, pedestal, interior liners, etc. etc.Hope you enjoy it!Video link:

After finally spending time, money and venting plenty of hardware/setup frustration - I'm running TH2Go digital with 3 Samsung Syncmaster 2253bw 22 inch widescreens at the max 5040x1050x57Hz. I can live with screen flickering and momentary blackouts during view switches and resizing 2d panels etc. After all I only fly VC anyway. But I can't get over the edge distortion on the left and right monitors - it spoils it all for me. I had no idea how pronounced it's going to be on 22 inch widescreens. All screenshots and videos I saw online were on standard 4:3 LCDs less than 20 inches. I guess now I know why. I attach a couple of screenshots to demonstrate the edge distortion /…

Hi guysI have currently 3 Dell S2409W 24" LCD monitor and I have come to understand that the only viable option is to use the Matrox TripleHead2Go digital card. I was wondering if there are any sort of similar products available in the market?

Howdy, for the last few months I've had my excellent Saitek ProFlight Switch Panel for my FS experience but always wanted a lit-tle more realism than the out-of-the-box setup afforded. Yeah, I know, you just can't make some guys happy enough! Well, I'm a different variety: instead of moaning about it, I do something about it. So when I thought to myself last weekend about how I could make the switch panel better, I began to look at the thing...The panel, as it comes, is laid out well: most all controls you expect to the left of the yoke are on the left side of the panel, and vice-versa, the only difference being the cowl flaps switch is next to the ignition switch. O well…

Please help me with the following.I have in use a I/O card from FSBUS, the new model with the jumper, and I can program it perfectly but when not used for a while it is reset to CID and all the inputs to standard on/off switches. When I use teh card regularly there is no problem. Only if it is out of using during a longer periode.I'm using a PC power supply due to reset problems in the past with my display controllers. This seems to over no.Please advise. ThnxKees Swanink

  8. The MD-11 has, just like most planes, 2 switches for the main landing lights (not counting the nose light): leftside of the plane & rightside of the plane. When I want to use 2 switches on a GF-T8 to operate the left & right side, I need to program the T8 to use the correct command. However...in FSUIPC I see "Landing lights" and some more landinglight related commands, but none of them will give me the opportunity to select either the left lights or the right lights...it's always both. Also verified in MD-11 Introduction documentation page 0.00.34Also it doesn't seem possible to program the nose light. How to solve this?

Last year we built a moving flight simulator platform with a virtual reality helmet. We called it the Moving Axis AirCraft Simulator (MAACS). I recorded a video log during construction. Is anyone interested in seeing this video log as a 20 episode series on YouTube? Here's a preview: I wanted to ask before I went to the trouble of uploading them. If people aren't interested, I'll just continue work on my other projects.

I've been working for the past year or so on an easy to build single seat cockpit. I've named it the Series One and will hopefully be the start of a line of inexpensive, easy to buildcockpit projects. The project website is at http://www.geneb.org/pitkitFrom there you can download the project construction manual and optionally purchase the project plans on CD for $40.Thanks for your time!Gene Buckle

Hi guysI am actually required to refurbish and upgrade a flight simulator in my college with an additional of 2 side screens to increase the view angle. I know its pretty simple to hook the screen up with a Triplehead2go and stretch across the 3 display systems. My question is how far should these screens be placed from the line of sigh of the pilot to gain maximum realism? I have read that placing the LCDs at 45 degrees viewing angle will also be most optimal. Is there any form of literature that supports this saying? Thanks!

Hi Everyone. It's been a while since I've posted. New forum, had to re-register under a new name as my email had changed and couldn't log in.But anyway - I've been busy building my single seater generic 2 dof motion cockpit and I'm now at the point of attaching all the guages I've made, the MCP, overhead etc to FSBus. The problem is, I built the NG series when it was first released, and now there had been new releases of the software. Can someone tell me what I need to download ie: do I need the CDK or just the dll? or do I need both. I have downloaded Visual C++ express and I'm in the process of downloading Windows SDK Oh, I've also downloaded FSUIPC.Thanks for the help…

Hello all simmers,Long time since I posted here but I have been very busy developing a Primus 1000 style avionics package for the Lear builders over at hangar45.net. Here is a screenshot of the progress thus far. We have the RMU (radio management units) in beta testing and the PFD in alpha testing. Watch the website for more details of development. Maybe we can convince some of the many Boeing/Airbus builders that bizjets are a great space saving alternative ;)Jasonwww.flightdecksoft.com

I' am now thinking about build cockpit L- 39. I want use addon Combat Jet Trainer from Captain Sim. (http://www.captainsim.com/products/l039/)I start now, look for a information, I'm reading various discussion forums. Informations are a lot of, but very often are discusses about detailed problems. I have several basic questions:- Have I use FS2004, or is better FSX? What are benefits and disavantages of both programmes for cockpit construction?- For transmission of informationfrom switches in cockpit to the FS I will use some I/O card. I suppose, that it will be approximately 40 keyboard commands and perhaps 10 rotary sensors for tuning (radio, ADF, ILS,

Hey gang...I'm working on designing a custom control panel for use with FSX. Basically, I want something that will allow me (in conjuction with my CH Yoke/Rudder/multi engine Throttle Quad) to avoid having to use the keyboard at all.To do this, I'm going to tear apart a Belkin Nostromo N50 and and N52 speedpads. These are fully programmable devices with a large number of controls and 4 different assignment modes per control. I'm 100% confident I can make that part work. I bought a large number of pushbuttons to wire up to the circuitry on the speedpads. Now I'm in the process of laying out the panel. To lay out the panel, I went through the list of all control options in …

Hello, I'm attempting to simulate the NAV1 LOC/Glide needles. I'm using FS04 with a registered FSUIPC and interfaced into FSBUSCDK 1.2. With FSInterrogate, I can see offsets 0x0c48/0x0c49 (8bit signed) and also offsets [unlisted in the doc I have from FSUIPC] 0x2aac/0x2ab0 (32bit float). The first set is called NAV1 needles and the second set is called VOR1 needles. The issue I have is a CDK issue. I use a simple test, which I use for everything:sub onFNAV1GLIDE print (get("FNAV1GLIDE"))end subWith the first set of offsets, I get only the value 128. With the second, I get a ten digit integer that does respond accordingly. The problem is, called it a 32 bit sign…
