Hi,Can anyone recommend a manufacturer that can build custom parts for home cockpits? I'd like to manufacture a tiller, but don't know who could economically produce one.The only places so far I have found that manufacture custom joystick type devices are all based in China. Thanks,Bryan

Hi ppl,I am having a weird time understand some of the complex wiring involved with some models of Text LCD displays.I have used FSLCD and got one 20x2 running fine (with backlight) for fuel, etc in my overhead.I have another 20x2, of which I am using one row to display IRU info also working fine.I have two other units that I cannot get the backlight working. They look the same, but no matter what I do they won't light up. I have a nice 20x4 for the MIP and 16x2 I am using for pressure on my o/head (in place of a guage). The schematics are all the same (i.e. A = 5v+ Anode, and K a 0V Cathode - Pins 15 and 16.I have tried using different pots (both 100K and 10K) in the …

Hi,As you (may) already know the Feelthere 737-300 classic has been released. In their support forum (http://www.iemit.com/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=15) they had stated before that they will provide means of controlling the aircraft via external C++ application. They were not very specific as to how, so I posted a question asking details. If anyone else is interested to be able to control this fine aircraft with their hardware, please add to the thread so that they know that many of us are interested. The thead can be found here :http://www.iemit.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3485LevelD opened the way and with the valuable help of Nico Kaan we can control the 767 .Let's h…

I was VERY excited today to finally get my overhead mounted! The rest of the panels will be mounted once I'm positive that the structure will hold. So far, I'm extremely happy, and can't wait to get my re-painted 737 seats shipped back!http://www.t-b-x.com/prather/777project/Ne...10013_small.JPGFor more photos, please visithttp://www.777Simulator.comBest regards,Robert P.

I've notice alot of advertizing lately involving the widescreen TV's that can also be used as monitors. If I were to purchase say a 24" wide tv/monitor and run the PMDG or LDS software on it, would you get the whole widescreen video output on the wide-screen or would you only get a 'boxed' view of the simulation with the sides blanked out??And also, would you be able to read the gauges since the resolution is something like 1268x768 or something to that number??Regards, jack

Hi everyone!Does someone know if we can see something through these glasses (I mean is it completely dark or just a bit shaded).Could be an interesting solution if we can see through enough to operate knobs, throttles etc..What do you think of this?

I have just finished making and installing the two speed brake caution lights on my 737(ish) MIP. I have no problems with the speed brake armed light, that obviously lights green when the FSUIPC ofset, forget which one at the moment, is in the armed postion. Value 4800 if I remember without looking it up.The problem I have is what conditions would make the SPEEN BRAKE DO NOT ARM illuminate on the real plane so I can model it using SIOC?All my copy of the B737 300/400/500 manual, dated Dec 2000, says on the subject is as follows;"SPEED BRAKE DO NOT ARM lightLight deactivated when SPEED BRAKE lever is in down position.Illuminated (amber) - indicates abnormal condition or te…

Searching the FSBUS site I found that a new version is available...--------------------------------------------------------fixes and improvements 2.4.11. new datatype S8 (signed 8bit) in fsif.ini to support glideslope and localizer needle.2. the 2 different interfaces (fsuipc or fdsconnect) are now configurable in setup dialog. Automatic scanning of an available interface is no longer done. The default interface is FSUIPC.3. the missing BCD switch is now available in the new IO controller. A bcd switch needs 4 pins of the key connection blocks. I recommend using 0,1,2,3 or 4,5,6,7 on each of the 8 blocks. With FSADMIN, you must define the keynumber and k…

A new MCP coming out?One of the posters at the GoFlight site forum has just picked up the announcement of a new GoFlight MCP on the Simware site, giving all the current MCP functions plus LNAV/VNAV etc. It is said to be available on 30 Novemeber. No pictures or details yet, and GoFlight aren't answering questions in their forums :( Head over to Simware for what little information there is.Maybe we will see it in the Avsim store soon.--Bryn

Hi,Lately I have been in the market for an affordable CNC solution and I think I just found one. From the correspondence I had with them yesterday, they are planning to sell a slightly updated machine in kit form during 2006 - for significantly less $$. Looks to me that all my custom panels needs have been solved :-)http://www.cncdudez.com/

Greetings to all! After many years of enjoyment with FS I am ready to take the next step and create my own hardware for controlling my flights (avoiding on purpose the word cockpit, since it is so ...far away at the moment).I will try to build myself as much as possible with some help of friends and fellow enthusiasts. The mcp and the fmc will be the first priorities.Having done my homework for the last months I have come at the crossroads where I need to make a decision between iocards and fsbus.I have to admit that I am leaning towards the iocards solution but my main concern is the problems that a lot of users are having with rotaries "skipping" inputs.Your opinion is a…

It was suggested on another forum that I post the following here in the hopes that somebody can direct me to a good yoke, rudder & throttle system for the 737NG or 767 series a/c.I have been a desktop pilot for over 8 years and have flown most of all of the software sim's including PS1.3a, PMDG 737NG's, PIC767 and the Level D 767. All all superb in their systems but the biggest glitch in all of the above software is the LACK of a good YOKE & THROTTLE arrangement. I had over 2 hours on the real 737 NG-700 flight simulator and I can also tell you that I trained on the PMDG 737NG software and it was a breeze knowing all about the systems and the aircraft in general. Hi All,I am working on my 767 overhead panel (using Nico's brilliant FSCONV).I am close to completion of nearly all of the switches and lights, with the exception of the Annunciator warning lights.I have mapped Fsuipc offsets for somethings I can find, and found some others with FSInterrogator, but am not really sure if I am on the right track.I have currently found:ENTRY DOORS: Offset 3667CARGO DOORS: Offset 2A60I have 2 flags that seem to match the group of lights that light up before engine start:The 4 PITOT lights (Capt, FO, L AUX and R AUX)L AOA, and R AOASeems to match both Offsets: 029C and 04EDI can't seem to find anything that matches on the Spoilers, Auto Spd B…

Hi all,I've just finished my new DIO-board for the new FSBUS...Everything's working fine so far, but there are some things I wonder about:I have modified some standard 12-stage-rotary-switches to work with FSBUS, as it is said in the manual. It does it's proper job in FSBUS ADMIN, so when I turn the knob I can see the program counting on the "Keys/Switches"-Page. However, it is not working in the FSBUS Router itself: I choose the "12-Stage-Rotary" and the right RID/SID, but the green field next to the switch value won't light up... well it does, actually, if I set the type to "Knitter" and turn, but then of course I cannot modify any values the way I would like to ;-)Also…

My master card is working, and I found 30 odd common cathode 7 segment displays I can use for my displays.I just can't seem to get it to work...I have breadboarded 2 7 segment displays and connected them to the displays II card. I'm 99% sure I have them hooked up correctly. What I'm not sure about is the jumper settings, and how to test the card with the software...The 4 jumpers next to each other- I have only 1 display card, where do I set this jumper? Which connecter should this card be plugged into on the master card? There is another jumper right above that one- What is it? Do I need connect 5V to this card or not? I have 5V connected to the master card.In the s…

Hi guys,Anyone knows where to get boeing MCP knobs. Especially the VS wheel. I can't seem to find them anywhere. The only ones i've seen is the one included in the FDS MCP package. Anyone knows of a place which sells them separate? How about the pesdestal panels. I only need a few. is it a must to buy all of them together?Hector
