hey all.I'm looking for a company that can CNC-engrave and cut. I'd preffer one that already has experience with the production of simulator panels, but if anyone knows a good one, let me know.I was going to go with DakenSkys first, but they are taking too long. Since I'm building a non-standard vehicle (a space shuttle), I need someone who wants to do a 1-time order for a reasonable price. I can offer the drawings in every requested format. I have the drawings from NASA here, so I can convert these and maybe change them a little if this is needed.I already tought about schaeffer.de, but they do not let me import the drawings...Preferably in Europa (Belgium) to limit ship…

Hi Folks. My Twin Otter engines appear to have differences in power? Gauges for the left engine read max when full throttle but gauges for the right one show only half when full lever applied?Engines sound the same and look the same from the outside view. A test with both engines at a quarter throttle taxi's straight ahead (BOTH engines equal but not showing equal on the gauges?) If the gauges were real, I would say they were faulty! I have checked the throttle settings in FSUIPC,as well as settings in game controllers.I guess if the plane flies ok, this should be enough - but it's not exactly as real as it can get!!Anyone experience this problem?Tony U.K.

Does anybody know if the above monitor will work with MSFS & the PMDG 747-400 software recently released? I'm wandering if the software presentation on the monitor will give me a 'boxed' view or in other words, a square view instead of a full 'widescreen' view.Regards, jack

I am re-designing my Power Lever Quadrant in 3Dstudio max and I have finished the power levers mechano and I am now at the flap lever. At the moment I am using push buttons for the flaps but I might change that to a slide pot now that I have PHCC (which has 33 analoge inputs on the motherboard) I am wondering which one of the 2 approaches is the best one to chose ?PS. Obviously a rotary switch is out of the question because detents are not spread out equaly over the distance.

http://a340gc.iradis.org/gallery/index.en.htmlIs a fully downloadable freeware glass cockpit software for the A340. I am not sure whether it is "finalised", however I am dying for anything that will give me the Upper ECAM display! (Can't afford project magenta, this Upper ECAM is all I require!)I says the downloads need compiling, can anyone help me with that? I'd really appreciate it! (Before I go digging out my copy of Visual Studio then panicing!)Thanks!

Hi,is there a way to access all of the panel gauges variables (to read instruments state or value) from the outside of FS2004?I know that through FSUIPC or FSConnect I can read standard variables value supported by FS2004, but what for non FS2004 standard gauges? What I want to do is to command the "power management selector" (that is not implemented as FS2004 standard gauge) of an ATR42/72 from a selector switch of my home build cockpit (using IOCard).Thank you, regards.Bob

Have someone experience with the gates.to/copilot add-on ?I want to use it for the multiview of my kingair homecockpit with 3 PCs:1. the most powerfull for fullscreen front view with videoprojector2. with 2 LCD one for fadec gauges, one for GPS map3. for lateral views with 2 LCD in the windows of the cockpit with view on the wings with the propellersThe advantage of this product vs Wideview is that you can display the FS gauges on a different PC and that you can display the wings/propellers of the laterals views...What do you think about thatBOBhttp://www.gates.to/LoadPage.php?page=Welcome

Hi Folks. For some time now, I have been using my PC in windowed mode so that I can in 2004, undock and move gauges etc to other monitors. This has been working very well indeed, and I have been getting 50 - 60fps but suddenly for no apparent reason, I can only get 4 - 6fps when in windowed mode - even though there are no added windows showing on the outside view. Full screen gives me 50 - 60fps?Anyone know what I might have done wrong? Any tricks or suggestions? I am wondering if I need to re-install FS?Help urgently needed!!Many thanks.TONY. U.K.

Hi All,I'm going to build my own home cockpit based on the ATR42/72-500 using the IOCard from OpenCockpits.Since I would like to use SIOC to program all onboard systems, I need to know detailed information about overhead (detailed function of the various switches) and power management logic to better simulate for instance a correct start-up sequence or the power managing.Where could I find that documentation? Is there here someone who can suggest me (or send) the needed documentation?Thank you, regards.Bob

We've taken a unique approach to interviewing Flight-Sim builder Vendors. I thought it would be nice to find out about the people behind the product rather then getting into the technical portion of their product. To me, Jonathan Richardson is a Builder, but also a Vendor, so for about 30 days we'll be sending questions and answers back and forth. I'm giving my fellow builders the opportunity to participate in the questions. If you have questions (non-technical to their product) for Jonathan, send them to me at [email protected]. Perhaps you have a question for Jonathan that will benefit all of us:)Just another way of builders learning about each other:) Here's the lin…

It is time to close 2005 and make a start with 2006. In the last year FScockpit.com received over 70.000 visitors. 50% stayed long enough to actually consume the content. On average 10% of the daily visitors is reading the content longer than 1 (!) hour and around 25% of the daily visitors are returning visitors. Many visitors took the time to e-mail with feedback. A considerable number of sites linked to from FScockpit.com saw a significant increase in visitors. All this is much more than we expected at the start: a big "thank you" to our readers. For the year-end holiday period the content is updated with the latest information. Exciting new sites of fellow cockpit buil…

Hello everyone, In case you haven't seen, Forge Europa has released some really beautiful white 7 segment LEDs. We used these to convert a real 757/767 radio comm panel, along with a Go Flight RMK-166, and the result was absolutely amazing. The ones we got were gray faced before, but now they have white segments with a black face as an option. A few of us are ordering these for our sims, however they need an order quantity around 100+. So anyone else who is seriously interested, please let me know. Another individual has made available boards that allow the LEDs to be mounted and wired with minimal effort. So basically, it is now possible to make a fully functional …

Just to let you know that I have just sent to Nico the latest FSBus definition file (fsif.ini) that enables the use of FSBUS hardware with the LevelD 767 with the combination of Nico's FSCONV program. It should be available shortly when Nico is able to upload it to his downloads section. The definitions reflect the latest changes of FSConv ver 4.0.4 or higher.LevelD 767 with applied latest SP2 is required, as well as FSConv which you can find at Nico's site (http://home.planet.nl/~nwkaan/)Note that not all the available offsets are defined for FSBus use. Some offsets that use dual bits for setting a value are not supported by FSBus yet. If you have any idea as to how to mak…
