Hi,after I got my 2 engine prop quadrant I ended up with alot of unused axis' in my home cockpit. So I wanted to assign the cowl flaps to them, only to learn that there is no directX command in FS2002 for them. Is there a way to do it anyway?Alex

Is there any way to make an engine recognize 2 seperate mag commands? Unlike a C172 where you can cycle the mags on the ignition key, an aircraft such as the Navajo uses seperate toggle switches to turn on the left and right mag, and then there is a starter switch for the engine... I see no key command in flightsim for a #1 Engine Left Mag On or a #1 engine right mag ON. It seems the magneto system is more setup for the key type ignition. It looks to me that no matter how many mags are on engine 1, one command covers them all. Am I correct in saying this? Thanks!Chris

Hi,Does anybody knows if out there there is a Project Magenta like programm but dedicated to the first generation of Efis Panel, with the classic " T " layout still using some analog gauges, like the Airbus A 310 one, or B767-200 or B737-400 or a lot of turbo prop commuter and so on....I know that I might run the generic gauges on a second computer, but they are not seriously made and the update rate does not allow to Fly by hand in IFR condition and that solution needs a second fast computer able to run FS2002.XP Reality just brought out a demo of a B737 ADI, which runs very well but as far as I know it would not run by itself without FS2002 on a second computer. I asked…

Hi Folks.I am in the process of building a light aircraft cockpit and before trying to fit monitors etc in position, I am about to experiment with various methods of displaying outside views and instruments seperately. I have the matrox Parhelia which will provide my three outside views. I also have some PCI cards that I thought I could use for the instruments and GPS screen. I figured that FS Panel Studio could be used to set out FS instruments as required and I could undock the GPS and move to a suitable monitor. Specs are -WIN XP. 2g processor. 256 DDR Ram. FS 2002. Matrox Parhelia AGP.2D PCI cards for instruments. I will be using a video splitter on one of the PCI car…

Hi everyone,I thought i might share with everyone my cockpit project! Here are a couple of pictures showing it...active and not active.I am trying to keep it looking like an AIRBUS but the budget is running tight when it comes to "realistic items" for this bird.I built it with a Captain seat only for now until finances clear up.I am currently running this set up with the following:AMD 1.5 MGZ512 DDR RAM1 GFORCE MX 220 VIDEO FOR REAR PROJECTION USING AN EPSON LIGHT PORTABLE PROJECTOR1 GFORCE MX 440 DUAL VIDEO FOR 2 17" MONITORS FOR BEHIND THE PANELUSING PROJECT MAGENTA FOR GAUGES.5'X7' REAR PROJECTION MATERIAL WITH A SLIGHT ARC WRAPPING AROUND THE FRONT.Well, i hope to tal…

There's a note on the PFC site that use of GoFlight panels with PFC hardware can cause lock-ups. At first sight I was sceptical as I can see that PFC would love folks to spend several thousand dollars on their avionics kit rather than several hundred on the GoFlight option. As it happens, I have some GoFlight panels and I was considering the purchase of a PFC throttle quadrant. I just wondered if anyone is using this combination and whether they had any experiences to report. It would be a rather expensive mistake to order the PFC throttles and end up having to junk the GoFlight stuff.ThanksAndyEGTR

I am totally new to this electronic stuff and have a vague underdstanding of it.. I currently have the PFC Airliner Yoke/Rudder, Throttle Quadrant, and getting the Avionics at the end of the year.. I like flying all types of aircraft so I just want something that cover everything.... What I want to do though is have a way to turn on my lights etc, and perhaps my engine starts on a board and run it through keyboard emulation. My question then is... from looking at the schematics available, the momentary push is by far the cheapest way to do it.. I'd personally like to go toggle switch route, but once I add in the price of relays, transistors and such, the price starts addin…

Hi...Anyone using the FreeFD glass cockpit...I have here 2 machines (3 monitors) and I'm trying to build a small set of panels with my 747MCP and GoFlight modules.I was testing it, but I coudn't find a way to store windows positions. I found it very easy to use, although magenta has more features and looks to run smooth...What do you think ?Thanks,Ulisses

Hello, everyone. Is there a way to set any of the above? If yes do you know what the vector/address is? Thank you.TV

Hello,I have 2 computers here, 4 monitors.I tried to run project magenta but I had problems with 2 open-gl screens in the same computer (win XP, I got opengl acceleration in only 1 screen)Also I tried to use WideView to run differents aircraft panels in the second computer, it worked, but there was a delay and offset in the panel update, one time I was in 4500ft and my other computer was showing 5600ft.I think I can run many panels in the main FS computer, but what do you think it's better:Magenta or multiple panels ? (a small home setup, no cockpit enviroment)Anyway to get open-gl acceleration in 2 video boards running in the same computer ?My second computer:1x GF2mx400…

Hi guysJust want to ask you if it is possible to combine EPIC and Keyboard emulators like Hagstroem. I am thinking of using two kbd emulators for my FMCs and EPIC for the rest of the stuff. They would run on different computers though so IMHO there shouldn't be a problem right?Regards

Hi,Before I finally decided to go with real aircraft parts for my home simulator, I designed the lettering of the overhead panel, the autopilot and some pedestal panels for a B777.The work has been done with Illustrator 9.0 and the final result is excellent.I printed them out on a vinyl water proof, opaque white film using a dark blue background color. ( See sample attached)Applied on an opaque white plexi plate, the panel can be backlighted. The same work is worth over 150$ on the market.I believe 50$ plus shipping, there are 16 Din A4 sheets, is a fair price. I also take in consideration to simply make an exchange against any item related to cockpit building. If there are…

Hi,Very interesting for who wants to make a General Aviation cockpit.I have three levers ( Throttle - Prop - Mixt) coming from a Cessna 210.Very good shape. Cables have been cut off.I have also a throttle lever from a Cessna 172 with the carb Heat lever. It seems to be easy to put on them any sliding 100k Pot I will take any serious offer in consideration. I would also exchange it with any item regarding cockpit building.I am currently working on a Generic Turbo Prop commuter cockpit using real parts.Item are in France but easy to ship anywhere.Mail me any offer at [email protected]

I am looking to get a LCD Projector for my Home Cocpit. I've gone to Ebay and there are tons of them for sale. What do I want to look for for using with MSFS. Is there a certain type I should look for, Reselutions? Would probably just be on a screen for now but would eventually like to get a curved screen for the windshiel of the sim. Really don't know anything about this so any help would be great. Thks

Are you kidding me? ..and it STILL doesn't come with Yokes, Rudder pedals, the Sim computer or even the $75 Flight Simulator software!!That must be some real good plastic they made that out of!Geesh!

Good Afternoon.I have been thinking about this and cannot think of the answer so, here goes:How would I have multiple views of a sim on different moniters?ie. with MSFS 2K2's scenery window, how would I have the first monitor with the view out of the left of the plane, the second moniter with the view out of the front and the third moniter with the view out of the right of the plane etc...would I have to have more than one PC or could I just have one pc with multiple monitors? Also how would I split EFIS screens up, so for eg. I could have the PFD and Nav on one monitor and the ECIAS on another, thanksric
