Hey guys. Any one find any 767-200 free glass cockpit software out there, because the Free FD and the 777project software is to new for what I want to do. Well maybe in a few years I will have time to program my own. I am in school for software development. It looks like it could be a interesting project. But if you guys know of any other free ware out there please let me know. ~Brian

Hi,I managed to program the Hagstrom KE72 to generate the standard key sequences for controlling the FMC of PIC 767. You may find some more info on my home page in the projects section and you may download the config file from my downloads section. Now I know that I can control the FMC with a KE72, without having to use key2mouse, I am very much interested in examples of how to build a hardware FMC box with switches and a screen. I am aware of the Flightdesk Solutions FMC. It looks very nice but it is rather expensive and there is no monitor screen with it.Regards,KiekEHAMhomepage: http://home.planet.nl/~nwkaan/

Hi all,This weekend i took some time (..) to build my new home cockpit extension. Nothing very special, at least not compared with all those great looking cockpits i watch in this forum. But for me this was a first and i like it. I haven't got any photo's (yet) so will describe its functions briefly:It's build around a gamepad (Thrustmaster USB) and a joystick (MS Sidewinder USB) and features 3 axis and 20 buttons. I'm always short of buttons to push, you know....One axis is used as a flaps lever (through FSUIPC's excellent feature to work around this FS2k2 flaw) one other as elevator trim. That's done by using a wheel (for the mechanics i used some old meccano, kids cons…

Hi all,I am trying to build a reasonble setup for flying with FS2002 Up to now I have a 4 monitor setup on two PC's using wideview. Two of those monitors are on a Nvidia dualhead card used to create an outside view, and here lies the problem.Only using two monitors for the view, leaves me with a bar in the middle because of the monitor casings put close together. I have been thinking to remove the casings, bring the screens closer together, and build a homemade casing around it.Would that in your opinion be possible, or would they suffer interference from each other being so close together?I am also very afraid to take them apart, I do not wish to ruin my expensive monito…

I am trying to get some sounds mapped to buttons and switches for Smoking, No-Smoking, Doors, Air Conditioning, APU, etc.) I found some really good stuff with Morad Air. However, once I load the swithces and convert the mouse movements to key presses, the Key2Mouse will not work if I kill the Panel View. Since I fly with no panels (AB320 Cockpit in use), I was wondering if anyone has any ideas to get these sounds plugged into the boards. I am using Hagstrom 72's with Project Magenta Airbus.

I am getting ready to buy a Hagstrom Encoder and am designing my switch panels. I found some inexpensive Rocker switches and push button switches but can't find any inexpensive toggle switches. Radio Shack sells some for about $2.50 each but with the volume of switches I will need it will get quite expensive. The rockers I found were less than a dollar each and so were the push button switches but toggles seem to be $3 or more. Anyone find a good source for inexpensive toggle switches? Thanks,Ken

http://www.simpit.de/b767cockpit/throttle2/page_01.htmwood, aluminum (aluminium) and plastic construction.4 potentiometers, 5 switches.those will eventually get connected to a mcp747 expansion board.as i don't have the expansion board yet it's currently not running till i get two of those fancy gameport --> usb converters. real soon now!if i'm lucky i'll be able to get complete 767 cockpit dimensions within the next 2 weeks. as in me, a camera, a metering tape and an actual real live cockpit. this will then get posted on my page, right below the a320 dimensions.regards andreas.

Anybody with EPICMAPPER get the same trouble experience as I have. The problem I am having is trying to run EPICMAPPER. When I run epic mapper it went through some progress seeing if they can detect wideclient, or any kind of requirements for EPIC. But without any connection through Wideclient, it just dissappeared after I run it. I have tried the support section through EPIC mapper's webpage and seem it did not give enough information through. Hi All:Maybe a dumb question but I'll have a go anyway. I plan to buy a super >2.0 GHz PC so I can run FS2k for my cockpit. This PC will be used priamarily for FSK2k scenery and controls input. I will have less powerful PC's for my gauges, radio stacks and GPS system. Here's my dilemna.I'd like to have the new super PC based in my study (main floor of house) and my cockpit will be in basement. The reason being so I can do all my other PC work (e-mail etc.) in my study. When I want to go flying I fire up main PC and then run downstairs into and jump into cockpit. Is there any limit to the length of cables for hooking controls i.e. yokes, throttles, rudder pedals, project…

I have some questions regarding Hagstrom keyboard encoders. I am building a GA cockpit (Very Slowly) and as time and money permits I have been installing Go Flight gear. Due to the high price of these excellent panels I am looking for alternatives for switchology for things like Fuel Pumps, Magneto switches, Engine start switches and even with Mouse to Key module assigning switches to manipulate the GPS and other functions on the panel.1)First are these encoders user friendly for installation and assignments?2)What kind of switches can I use for inputs?3)Can I buy them from radio shack and if so what price should I expect to pay for switches?4)Do I need the breakout board…

I always was dreeming a home cockpit simulator and just before 2 months i started to made with PM s/w, 4 computers and by making some small constructions to put on the 4 displays, etc.My problem and my dilemma is if i will continue to working on a cockpit project or return back to the old situation (a wide desk with monitors and keyboards on it). Why?Because by making a cockpit with Main Panel in front of monitors and the monitors on a construction 50cm above the floor, i made something only for FS use and i lost all the other things that my pcs can do. I can not surf in the internet, read emails, enjoy music & video etc. I can not neither to communicate in sqbox text,…

Hi,I am new to all of this, but I am thinking of building an A320 cockpit based on the PSS Airbus or the A320 PIC by Wilco when it is released, and I need your help. What I am unsure about is how to control LED's eg red and green for the undercarriage, all of the 'fault' lights on the overhead etc. If I were to use EPIC, how does EPIC interface with FS to determine the status of say the 'APU starter switch light' or the 'external power switch light' and so on?Many thanks,Nathan.

Hi,i'm building a little cockpit addon that gives me some extra axis' (3) and one of those is going to be the elevator trim wheel. In testing that function within FS i find that the AP ALT hold doesn't function right anymore. Because the AP doesn't have control over the trim wheel and it receives constant (and wrong) input from that axis. At least that's what i can come up with. Does someone know if this is right, am i doing something wrong and if this can't be done than how does a unit like goflight (the big ons with elevator trim) handle this ?Thanx for your help,Cas

Searching E-Bay I found touch screen covers. Are these things of any use in FS?? Looks like it works like a mouse but you just touch the screen where you want to click. If that is the case this looks like a great thing to have on a multiple monitor setups. Any one know if they can be used for FS applications??http://www.ktone.org/images/FSD_ken.jpg
