Hello, I have searched for a good scource of slide or liniar motion pots and either they are the real cheap kind($.50 to $1.50) or the real expensive kind ($300.00+). Another snag I've run into is that most suppliers wont put prices on their web site. Can anyone point me to a good supplier of 100K slide/liniar motion pots that has prices listed with them? Also, there have been a few projects here that use gears in thier throttle quads. Can anyone post a good scource of good plastic gears? This would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like someone is taking the initiative to have PCB's made professionly for the FSBUS system. Depending on how many people get together the costs should keep getting lower. Looks like cost will be about $8 a board.[http://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/DCForumID12/230.html]

I'm writing for a "BIG" problem i have with PIC767 & my MCP, as i can not find anywhere any other information. Please for your help!!!What i want? To connect my custom made MCP hardware device with the PIC767's autopilot & MCP. I saw that the last PIC767's update/patch (ver 1.3 i think) was made to connect the PIC767 with the Aerosoft's MCP & OTHER Hardware devices. So i decided to make my own MCP and i need the way how these two communicate!! Via FSUIPC, via any other DLL or EXE program? I can not find any documention in Wilco's site.I'm ready to make any change from my side to connect it, please any person who knows, tell me the way how to!! Best regardsOAL3…

Guys, First of all....I was told that arylic plastic can be difficult to cut in a squared-like shape with jigsaw. If that is true, are there any other methods that can cut in a squared shape? Secondly, to drill in holes on arylic by using drill press... I was told it wouldn't be a good idea to do that... that would have ruined it. So are there any other methods that I can make a hole for arylic plastic? This is for me to create some kind of center pedestal panels... any advices or suggestion from you would be appreciated

I finally (after two years of dreaming) Found the time and effort to put together my GA Cockpit. Since the Seneca is my favorite plane to fly in FS2002 I built my panel around the Seneca. I went so far as to take screen shots of a few of the panels on the dash and blow them up, print them on Vinyl bumper sticker paper (Office Depot) then stick that onto an aluminum plate then drill out and install the proper switches in the correct locations. Then using Key2mouse I was able to assign the mouse clicks to keystrokes then finally assign them to my switches Via a Hagstrom KE72. The resuls are simply AMAZING! They actually look and feel real when activating them, although I ha…

Hi Guys,I am a newcomer to this forum and I have a question regarding the radio stack problem. I have built my own desktop panels, including three GoFlight modules (an excellent product) that cover most of the AP functions. Actually I can fly and land without touching the keyboard/mouse. A 3 axis, 4 button home made controller, plus the joystick, cover most of the other normal functions. Now, the real nuisance is the radio functions. Thanks God and MS the COM channels change by themselves. The only thing I, poor old armchair flyer, have to do is switch between ground and tower by pressing a number on the keyboard

Hi Everybody, Dave, and Mike Powell I have tried few experiment for Max7219 for 7 segment digit dislay, and it works wonderful.. To say this, I regret buying 7 segment digit display module from EPIC. Now this come up in my mind with question to ask, would it also be possible using Max7219 for Output? Speaking of such as Warning light, gear light, or maybe gauges involved with stepper or servo motor. Let me know if you know any kind of circuit that can do those function, I'd love to do another expierment.

Can somebody tell me a way of shutting down engine 1 or 2 and leave the other running?I currently am simulating an A320 AIRBUS in my cockpit.. and when i go into FS assignments to set each engine i have only 1 "set mixture to rich" and that automatically chooses both at the same time.I am looking to simulate "engine failure" every once in awhile and when i shut down engine 1 or 2 they both quit. I am using keyboard emulation for just this(seperate hacked board)I currently have 1 toggle for "select item"(eng 1/eng 2)and then i have a toggle for each engine for the mixture rich and a engine start button for each engine also.Any tips on how to get around this problem? When i …

Guy's you may remember I bought the Basic ATD from The Real Cockpit, and there was a lot of discussion about them changing their mind to sell the individual gauges. Well the changed their mind again. Check out www.simkits.com! They are selling the gauges now as kits at quite reasonable prices (I think).RegardsDavid

My site havent bin updated in a long while but I am very busy trying to land a job as a pilot (wrong time I guess) also not really made any new updates that were worth a major update.I did manage to get alot of stuff to be put in my future flightdeck I alway's intended to go with aluminium but due to money and also tools that are not as easy to be used by me at work as they used to be I descided to go with MDF and its working out pretty good if I say so myself .Even though it is not going as fast as I would it to go I am not complaining.Hope u all like the added picture.Nihad http://www.allush.net/images/nihad2a.jpg

So, this has probably been discussed a million times in the past, so forgive me, but the forum search didnt seem to go farther than a year ago, so I wouldnt know :-/The problem is: a friend of mine is building a home cockpit and thinking of using the excellent "767 Pilot in Command" as the base for it. Now he did a MCP panel and it works pretty nicely via keyboard emulation done with FSBUS (though he said it lags a bit under heavy load (lots of other planes, or complex scenery etc) - but basically it works. But the bigger problem is this: Is there a way to get any data *out of* 767PIC either through FSUIPC or anything? Since it implements its own autopilot etc (and doesnt …

Right now I am working on two B767 yoke, one for Captain side, and other one for first officer. At first method I did was having two long threaded rod (about 6 inches) connected up together, this did wor well, but did not get a good fiction feeling, so I tighten up with nuts, it did not hold up good anyway. I tried few other methods and seem it's not a sucessful solution. So would anyone with mechanical experience like to share ideas or suggestion regarding to yoke connection with true friction feeling? let me know.

Yeah, I know COLE makes them. And I was told they cost $50 a piece if you can find someone who sells for individual hobbyists. So I was going for two separate radio tuning knobs, since my cockpit idea is more about "avoiding mouse and keyboard while flying" than looking exact replica of some real plane. So it was okay and it *really rocks* when you tune your radios and vor etc with rotary knobs..Then I talked with a friend and we pondered how many times real aircraft parts are very expensive and if you sometimes get a nice practical idea you can save a lot of money for simpit building. Then it struck us: what if you took an ordinary rotary switch (fsbus can use those as "r…

I am currently finalizing some overhead details and would like to incorporate the FPDA pushback into my Airbus Calls Panel. Unfortunately (read happy), I fly without any FS panels visible. In order to get some sounds going, (Air Conditioning, APU, DOORS, Chimes, Crosscheck, Delays, etc.) I assigned these as User files in FDS with tagged keyboard controls, and coded the KE 72 for activiation. Works very well...However, the FPDA pushback requires that the panel be active as do all guages...and since I have no panels active, I can't get the guage to work (yet?). Key to Mouse won't work here either as it also needs the panel active but it does solve the key assignement probl…

Hi to All: I am working to configure my FS2002 in configuration multimonitor. I have 2 video cards Nvidia Gforces, one of 32 mb AGP and another of 64 mb PCI. I extend the windows desk, all well. I use 1024x768 resolution in both cards/monitors. In the FS treatment of stretching the views so that they occupy both monitors and the view from the cabin stretches out until a maximum and of there it doesn't go but. If I continue stretching I am run or of a side or of another. The instruments panel if I am able to stretch it to both monitors, leave all flat one but leave. What I don't achieve is the view from the cabin. If I can make of opening up another win…
