Has anyone purchased the B-757 Operation and Training Manual from Essco Aircraft? If so, how is it? Which airline is it from? What type of engines does it support? I purchased the MD-80 manual from them a while back and found it quite good. Also, does anyone know of other places to purchase 757 manuals? Thanks,Scott

Hi All,Well, my design worked. Minor modifications, but not bad for a first try.Goals:1) Rudder Pedals always slipping on floor.2) Desk did not have straight edge, yoke always slipping, even with using sticky tak on bottom.3) Had to work for me and my two sons, 8 & 11.4) Tried to get realistic distance while sitting with relation to yoke and pedals compared to the 172's I fly.5) Total Cost $12.47 Home Depot. :-)This is the closest I have felt while simming to real flying. The pedals and rudder always stay in the same place. The Rudder Pedal Box is key, IMHO. It has no bottom, and keeps the pedals and yoke in the same lines, and always at the same angle. (I have a tig…

Has anyone ever tried this? What I have in mind is adding two water trays, one above and one below the windsreens of my cockpit, with perforations in the upper tray so it can drop water onto the windscreens and then recollect in the bottom tray. I'll then rig a pump to it to circulate the water and add windscreen wipers (off a car) to the exterior. I was thinking of making it a sealed unit, i.e. enclosed in perspex, due to the proximity of the monitors etc. How feasible does this sound to you all? I think it might be quite cool. Of course I'll have to rig the pump to FS to operate only when it 'rains'. Anyone know how I could do this? Also, I realise there will be no slips…

I happened to come across this guy's web site while perusing the Project Magenta stuff - he built his first sim in 1965! Unbelievable!http://www.geocities.com/jetstarsim/aa707.htmLinks to his other sims are here: http://www.geocities.com/jetstarsim/index.htmI sent him an email to congratulate him on his perserverence on this hobby - I bet no-one else has been doing this stuff for 38 years!Dave BlevinsKRHV

Has anyone translated the main documentation of FSBUS into English yet? And if so, where can I find the translation?Looking at FSBUS and reading what's available in their english website, it looks very interesting and I would love to get involved by making my own MCP, FMC and radio controls (no room for full cockpit).Thanks.George DorkofikisAthens, GreecePS. No money for ready solutions as well! :-(

The following information and caution note applies only when running FS on FULL screen and not in windowed mode.Until now I have tried 2 solutions to have a second monitor on the same PC for FS. Note that I run FS full screen.First was a 2ndary PCI VGA (a Viper330 in my case). That worked well except that when I click on any non-FS application or window FS minimizes. But this seems to be the way in any case...Second I attached a DVI to VGA cable and connected my 2nd monitor on my primary VGA, a GeForce4 Ti4200 64Mb. It seemed to work, but I had big problems with FS. When switching to desktop and then back into FS, my outside view was all messed up and the only way I …

I know this will sound like a stupid question to many but I'm just starting this project. I've figured out the switches and the EPIC card thing but what I'm confused about is What powers all the switches. Do I nood a power supply for each panel? Does the EPIC card handle this thru the computer? Thanks for any help

Hi,I'm planning a generic panel using FSBUS for use in single/multi prop aircraft and I've got stuck on the flap control.I've pretty much decided to use a momentary 3 position switch for the flap control, but I don't know what the best way to display flap position would be.Some ideas I have come up with are an LED array that is marked on the panel but this would differ between aircraft, a 7-segment LED display showing the value given by FS.Either system would be together with a 'transit' light. I guess this information is extractable from FS?Any suggestions?ThanksChris

there is an error in schematic! The 18k R at the yellow LED must be 180 Ohm.There are 2 advantages, if you change it:1. The more precise reference voltage will give better results.2. The LED will begin shining yellow. If you lost the controller (powered on) you will find it, even in absolute darkness.regards Dirk

Hi there,I know it may have been discussed many times before, but here goes...I just installed a 2nd VGA on my PC (PCI Viper 330) and my old 15" monitor. Extended the desktop and all work great! What I want to do is very simple. I always run FS full screen. On the 2nd monitor I just want to display Squawkbox, and other secondary programs that I run so that I don't have to return to the desktop each time I want to do something...But no... Windows (or FS) had another opinion! Whenever I click on anything on the 2nd monitor, FS minimizes on the primary monitor!!!!It's annoying! And normally from within FS I can't even move the mouse to the 2nd monitor. I did fins a way t…

Hi Folks,I have a dilemna. My desk at home is angled, so I have a tough time flying at an angle. I can put it straight, but I still have to use sticky tac on the bottom of the yoke to keep it on. The edge of the desk makes it slide.I have the following:(And yes, I know that somewhere down the road, I will have to add more. :-) It's addicting right?)CH Pro Rudder pedalsCH Pro FlightSim YokeI just want to design using the following.1)Rudder pedal Box, no bottom, or maybe a bottom for weight.2) 2 x 4 brace attaches to box flat on ground.3) 2 x 4 angled column attaches to brace4) 1" Particle Board or plywood attaches to 2 x 4 5) Yoke attaches to board.I am attaching a pic …

I am new to cockpit building, first I have managed to suceed with multi monitor set ups, also have emulated a keyboard and can now use switches instead of my keyboard all be it basic, {I'm working on FSbus}.My problem is with my throttle quadrant, I have got two throttles working great, only I am looking for help with a flap lever, I have read about doing this with either a pot, or multi position rotary switch, I prefer to do this with a pot, but I cannot seem to add a flap axis to my joystick settings in FS2002, it seems you can add many different axis for other things but not flaps!I have an up to date version of FSUIPC, here I see Peter Dowson has a flap calibration ar…
