All,The famed AASI Jetcruzer aircraft program has been cancelled. The hanger is being cleaned out. Within the auction are a number of fuselage hulls and lots of parts that would be suitable for simulator construction. Don't let the minimum reserve price scare you we are entertaining bids of all sizes and allowing partial bids. Check it out at: http://jetcruzerauction.freewebspace.com/-Mooney Aerospace Group

Hi,I'm looking to find some links to order some parts for my Boeing project. It is very difficult to find them in Greece, so iIf you have any idea about, it will be a great help.a) 5' Monitor RGB (CRT 640X480 or TFT 640X480) The known small TFT monitors with 960X234 resolution they are not so good with small letters in CDU monitor. Small letters & numbers eg. page1/2 are not visible in 960X234 dots:( Rotary encoders with pushbuton and external rotary with 2 positions. E.g in Altitude the encoder have to turn with no end left or right, to push, and also there is another extrnal small encoder in the same oposition which turn 100 or 1000 rating in ALT change,Also in EFIS…

Hi guys,I hope the twin GA fans are still here. I finalized the pedestal. A few cosmetics remain to be made (exchange the ugly plastic plates with evenly cut metal plates) but for the moment I am quite satisfied. Unfortunately it is impossible to make a decent pic of the monitor screen. The main cockpit is on the agenda for the weekend.Alex

For all simpit builders in need of a cheap solution as regards rotary encoders I must say that the solution I got from the www.hagstromelectronics.com guys using their USB keyboard encoder KEUSB36 and two microcontroller is absolutely fantastic. I can know run 16 mechanical rotary encoders for about l20$, may be 130 inclucing shipping cost ( I am fench) Compared with some companies asking 79,50 $ for ONE card driving ONE rotary. (NO COMMENT)Write to them and ask them for the solution tested by Roger.Kind regardsRoger

I am in need of a SunComm linear rehestat. I broke the back panel on the linear rehestat which acts as a circuit card while cleaning and reinstalling it. I had an extra set of throttles laying around for over a year but gave them away last month to an aspiring simmer. To make matters worse I have a "Flyin" at my house this weekend with some family and friends to showoff my system and I now only have one throttle working. Does anyone have one of these animals laying around?? Maybe a hacked out dual throttle with the rehestats still in them, or even a complete set?? I am willing to pay for FEDX shipping and reimburse you for your time and trouble if you can help me. Thanks,…

Hi,I have seen on a number of websites, the CH YOKE mounted on a post, to simulate a real yoke.I am interested in doing this, and was wondering what sort of products to use.I was thinking in using Plastic pipe for the post, and wood for the base, I was also thinking in building a set of rudder pedals into the base.Would I need to add weight to the base to stop the yoke from toppling over when I used it.ThanksMark

Does anyone have a link to the specs for talking to FS via USB?? I want to build a yoke/throttle/pedal system and talk to the USB with a micro controller. I am looking for the specs as far as message formats, timming etc. Anyone happen to stumble onto this infor?? Thanks MIke B.

hi~I was reading the previous post about Ohm's Law and noticed a reference to one of my pages that states you need a resistor when using the 32-Digit Display module. That is incorrect. You *do not* need any resistors when interfacing to this particular module.I'll have to look up the page that erronous info is on and change it ;-)Ray Sotkiewicz(The Behind the Times author of BSU)

Hi fellow simmers, This is embarassing here, I have forgotten how to use OHMS law. I have been into electronics for 6 years, and still can't figure out what kind of value of resistor that need to be used. I guess I have been into digital, and forgotten everything about OHMS, Faraday, and other laws except for digital's Maybe I could use your help to find the equation, or calculating the resistor value that need to be used. I am working on 7 segment digit display for MCP and radio. And I need to know the value of resistor along with power supply that is 13.8 VDC, 12 surge amp, 10 constant amp, and 250 watts. The 7 segment digital display can only allow 2.8vdc and…

I'm interested in building a GA Twin engine cockpit. But it seems like most everyone who has built a cockpit, is building the 747 type.I would like to hear from anyone who has made the panel, etc. Pictures would be great too. Thanks,Gerry

With a generous dose of help from Pete Dowson, I have gotten the GPS section of my to work with the new [link:www.fsavionics.com]FSAvionics GNS products. Owners of the stack probably know that the GPS section has gone largely unused due to the lameness of FS2002's built-in "GPS" panel. I can now use the rotary control and all of the buttons in the stack's GPS section to control all of the GPS functions of the GNS instruments. This requires updated FSUIPC.DLL and PFC.DLL modules, which will hopefully be released by Pete next week. The question is, does anybody here care? If so, I'll post my .ini file settings and notes on how to get this to work. This might seem trivial to…

Howdy,There is a 747-200 pedistal for sale on ebay. After adding freight it would be out of my budget but somebody here might want to take a look at it. It looks pretty complete. The bid is at $625 as I post this.Happy Flying,Larry Brownhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...item=1871714261

Can someone tell me where the startup positions when using more than one monitor are stored, as well as the wndow size. It used to be this way:When I saved a flight and opened it later all windows opened at the same spots and with the same size as they used to be when I saved the flght. Somehow this information got mixed up by reinstalling drivers and adding a third monitor. Now I have to switch between WinXp and FS2002 to even see some of the windows. I have to resize all windows as they are all gathered at the primary monitor and it seems they have a random size, at least not the same size they had when I saved the flight.Apart frm that my 3 monitor setup works perfect.…
