Since the first time I saw James Price's website showcasing his 737 sim I've been in awe at how these home sims are turning out. I'd really like to have one but due to the very big monetary set back that these things cost to build and the knowledge that I don't have. I'd just like to ask you guys to post your websites and the cuty you guys are from that'd be great......you guys are very lucky to be able to build your own cockpit.

Anyone still uses EPIC-ISA? Honestly, I am way behind with the information regarding to EPIC. Eventhough, I bought it in 1998.. Which means, I never get started on programming any keybuttons, displays, or etc. The only thing I did was surface by taking look at it and get the idea how it works. Why, I have not done anything with EPIC? It's because, I dedicated most time at my school work which is most important. Also I took a lot of time renovating my cockpit... changing cockpit perference from B727, 757 then B767-400, wiring, modling, sanding and etc. Technically, I have forgotten about EPIC for a while by not not keep up to date with it. So until then, I am about t…

Hello all... I am in desperate need of an Aerosoft MCP and two Aerosoft EFIS selector panels. I need them in about 1 week if possible. If anybody is willing to sell theirs, I will pay you what you want. At least what you paid. You could easily buy another once Aerosoft re-opens.Roberthttp://SimSpares.comhttp://The777Project.com (Migrating site to new server)

I noticed a strange thing when upgrading fsbus 2.08 from 2.05Version 2.05 was installed in a folder called ....path/fsbus2.05/I deleted that one and installed the new one into ....path/fsbus2.08/When I started fsbus I got 2 error messages. unable to load ....path/fsbus2.05/fsbus.fb2 unable to load ....path/fsbus2.05/FSIF.iniI worked around by renaming the folder from 2.08 to 2.05. AFAIK fsbus does not need to be removedby settings-software etc. But my findings suggest that there remain some parts of fsbus just after deleting it somewhere in the registers.I did not notice this behaviour with older versions.Norbert BOsch

Hi everyoneI'm a commercial pilot and I would like to build myself a cheap autopilot control panel for use with fs2002 (and may be 2004 then) with standard b737. I need it only for ifr selftrainign so I don't need anything more than the standard switches/rotary encoders that are on the standard b737 ap panel on fs 2002. I spent last 3 days searching the internet for documents and finally I came with this conclusion: I need 5 rotary encoders, 9 pushbuttons switches, 3 toggle switches. I think I need a Keyboard Encoder Module to connect theese switches to the pc. I found hagstrom MODEL KE18 that shold be enough for me(9+5+3=17 so 18 is enough. rigth?). now I have some quest…

I've changed my thinking a bit on my 737NG sim. I've decided to build the co-pilots side as a -300-400 series. This way I can fly both types, glass cockpit and or gauge cockpit. I got a set of -400 panels installed. Check it out my site, http://www.geocities.com/raflyer/currentse...l?1070601729543Am I crazy or is this a cool idea? Thanks,ROb

Hello Everyone, We are trying to use FSBUS software's PM-MCP indication - V/S Blank item to make the V/S 7 segment displays go blank when the display is blank in Project magenta. What suggestions do you have? Because the only thing we can think of is modifying the hardware so that we create a led event that lights up with the V/S blank event. and using that output, we are thinking of using a nPn transistor to short the MCLR of the desired CID to Zero(ground) to turn that display off. When we turn it back on, we get dashes instead of the V/S value. Is there any way of doing this by software? Is there any way of programming your router to make the display turn off when the …

I've got a P4 2.53gzh 533 FSB Dim 4550 and I want to upgrade the CPU. Dell customer support is no help at all!!! I am so mad. I've looked at the computer and I've researched it the best I can. The book says my system can come with CPU's up to 3.06 mhz. I want to upgrade, but I can't get confirmation that this will work since dell won't help. Can anyone tell me if this will work? This looked like the most likely forum to ask this question.Thank you to anyone willing to help!!!

Yet another question, seems I'm getting carried away here :DDoes anyone know the RGB values of the paint used in the 737NG cockpits? I'd like this info for the backing sheets I will be printing etc.As an afterthought, what is the colour of the actual paint used? This way I can paint the interior of my cockpit to match the panels (where applicable, not all of it is the same colour!)The info you guys are providing is absolutely superb, I'm overwhelmed by it! Keep up the exceedingly good work :)

So guys, what do you think of my Fwd Overhead Panel Section, even with Genuine Dzus fastners.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/52156.jpgSo far I've managed to manufacture the bare sheet metal backing. Over the top of that will go a sheet of perspex and then my etched lettering over that. I'm still trying to nut out how I'm going to do that exactly but its coming along. I've almost finished my rear overhead but still putting in the Dzus fastners, darn that takes a long time!Yours Sincerely,

Just a quickie...For those making their own panels, what font is used for the lettering? I'm looking to print off my own panel backing sheets, but in order to do so I'd like to match the fonts with the original, and can't seem to find a suitable match! Any help will be much appreciated, not only by me but anyone else looking to do the same :)

Hallo simmers,I just upgraded to FS2004: whow !Then I assigned the customized keystrokes I used in FS2002. For the rest I looked up the Pete Dowson "List of FS2004 Controls.doc" with all variables listed. Then I searched for - what I expected to be - the Fs2004.cfg file, but there is no such file in my new Flight Simulator 9 folder. Browsing and ploughing all sub-folders did not help.Unfortunately Dowsons 2004-document does not provide a file name, as previous versions did. Who knows the right file name (*.cfg) and location where I could implement my personal, streamlined Dowson-keystrokes ? Please help me get my switches work again !HarryS

Hi thereI'm about to start the construction of the center pedestal of my A320 cockpit.I will have to wait a bit before I can afford to buy the MCDU kit from FDS, but I don't want to stall my project just waiting for that. So could anyone please tell me the dimensions of the MCDU kit from Flightdeck Solutions (i.e lenght and width of the hole that the kit is placed in).I would be very thankful.Best regardsPeter
