Hi all,Can someone help with the following problem.I find with the above version that any keyinput or Analogue input there is a delay if you have not used anything. Its almost like FSbus has gone to sleep and it takes about 1 to 2 seconds to wake up.I have reloaded fsbus but no luck.I have removed FSbus 2.0.5 and installed 1.3 and this works fine.If i run FSkey test this also responds in the same way.Once it is working it is fine untill you leave it for 1 minute or so.Consequently i have to operate switches twice to get a response. In fs it seemed to be more of a problem with the keys. The anologe inputs did not seem to suffer so much.I fly a 177.Thanks Guys.RgdsLes

Hi all,Just wanted to update you on my findings on my new CPFlight MCP. I now have20 hours flying time on it.Initial install went bad due to a glitch in the software. If you assignwrong comm port it locks you out from changing it again. It will be fixedsoon. After getting everything working as it should all I can say is WOW!!! VERY nice unit, yes it is85% size of real one but, several thousand dollars cheaper and looks veryclose. Operation is flawless so far with easy integration either with FSalone or thru my PM mcp software. The config software is VERY easy to use and will advise on it more when I get my interface board. Rotaries feel nice, all switches functionas desig…

Now, that I have finished my GA sim to a point where I can actually fly approaches with a large amount of realism, I am looking to build a T-38 simulator cockpit. I went through UPT at long gone Craig AFB in Selma AL in 1971. I still remember the T-38 as one of the most fun airplanes to fly. While I know that the heavies and fighter pits are the most preferred by sim builders, I have flown real fighters and have no desire to fly anything I can

Hi all,I'm relatively new to cockpit building but I've been a dedicated flight simmer for 5 years now - so I thought that it was time that I invested my money in making an A330 cockpit (As I am a huge fan of both the A330 and A340). At the moment I have been searching the web and have found numerous sites offering parts for the A330. However I mostly find sites offering parts for Boeings or GA aircaft. Even A320s are hughely catered to. Yet, there are few sites that offer A330 parts. I was hoping that some people may be able to help me with my project by providing me with some links! At the moment I am about to purchase the A330 MIP (main instrument panel) from www.flight…

Hi people.I got a couple of questions.I want to build a hole 744 or a A340 thats not for sure. But the question is were to get the best parts and so realistic that it almost looks like the Flight simulators were pilots keep there traingings on?How match gona cost it and it have to look like the PS3 flight sim. With the greatest FMC and etc.And the last question. Is there any FS software necesary like the PSS 747 or PSS A330/340? (747PSS will come later, they working on it ride now)Thanks,Ramon.

Who uses this material ?If you do .. why haven't you told me about it before !!!It rox big time !I'm making the panels of my pedestall with this stuff and it's super. It is strong, it is flexible, it is easy to drill/saw/sand/etc ... you can even cut it easely with a knife !!! That last option makes it super i think.Ow and it is possible to get it in gray which is exactly the color I needed for my cockpit ;)Check my website in a few houres for some pictures !

Hello to All!Has anyone built or have a throttle quadrant that's motorized. I am looking for info on how that's done.Basically, Here's what I am after...When switching to autopilot mode, I want the throttle to move up/down in sync with the AP controls in the simulator. So when it's disengaged, moving the throttle up/down manually changes the response (i.e. speed), smoothly.Thanks.Sean W.

Can anyone help with problems that I'm having with REDec?I've just built myself a REDec and seem to be having some eratic problems. I've hooked a standard Rotary Encoder which has opposite outputs on each side pins. 5V connected to center pin and I'm getting the required voltage at each Logic IC.The output I'm getting in the FSBUS Key testing page is its flipping between the two points it occupies. As I turn it in one direction I start to get a 1 to 0, back and forward but after about 5 clicks in the same direction it with suddenly change to the other switch output.Does anyone have any clues to what is going wrong?I have built this thing from the schematic but unfortunate…

I purchased some surplus ventilation units for my enclosed flightdeck (this isn't a problem in my open cockpit :) ), that have an integrated blower motor and cool brushed aluminum "eye" that allows you to direct the flow as well as shut it off. These are the kind you're used to seeing over airliner seats in the passenger section.I'd like to use the integrated motor rather than replace it or use a large master blower for all four vents, but I don't know the voltage requirements. I seem to recall that airliners use weird AC voltages on board, and before I start "smoke-testing" the motors I thought I'd throw the question out here.Any clue what voltage is common in the overh…

Hey guys, After Geocities destroyed SimSpares, only a few short days after the initial opening, it's finally back online and better than before. Quite a few real aircraft parts are available! Next to be added includes knobs, buttons (mostly from MCPs), and rotary encoders (some dual concentrics).http://www.SimSpares.com We hope by next week to have the system in place for sim builders to be able to post your old stuff. The service will be free to buyers and sellers. If anyone is interested, please express interest so I'll know whether I need to focus time into it.Best regards,Roberthttp://t-b-x.com/prather/777project/banner1.jpghttp://ProMFD.cjb.net

Was all set to make my throttle based on the plans using K'NEX gears and such. BUT, I've seen a few plans based on slider pots, that look way easy. Other than the availability of rotary pots at Radio Shack (can't find any slider pots around Little Rock, AR) what are the advantages and disadvantages of using either. I read on Mike's Flight Sim Deck that the rotary pots are easier to keep dust-free, but hopefully the slider pots will be semi-sealed in their throttle quadrant. Thanks for the help!

I had a simple idea:1) hack a keyboard controller from old keyboard: Done2) Buy some mechanical rotary encoders: Done3) Wire everything up: Done4) Frustration level after endless hours of trying to get it to work:PRICELESS!!!Is there a somewhat simple circuit that will let me use a rotary encoder to send a keystroke when turned clockwise and a different one when turned counter clockwise? Please help and thanks to all who have helped me with other topics.

Not sure if it's already been posted, but as I can't seem to find any I might as well ask :DDoes anyone here have, or possibly know where I can find, the cockpit dimensions of the Boeing 747-400? I've spent what seems an eternity trying to find them, but so far no joy :(What I do have though is the layout of pretty much all the components/panels, but what I'm lacking is the actual dimensions of said parts. If anyone can help, or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. Or slap my wrist and tell me it's in here somewhere!CeawlinBSX029

OK... I have looked at the FSUIPC and documentation and I see that there are variables for fuel flow, oil pressure, etc., but there are no variables (that I can find) that say whether or not a particular annunciator is set. I have the FSBus LED board and want to drive actual lights for AUTOFEATHER, LOW FUEL, GENERATOR, etc. That being the case, I image that some programming would have to happen that would set the annuciator (light the LED) when a certain threshold is reached. How can this be done? Since these are obviously values that FS sets why wouldn't Peter make them accesable?I apologize if I am missing something obvious... Is it possible to do what I am looking …

Hello ,I'm building an a320 overhead, and i have a question about the choice off the switch. I don't have enough money to buy a douzen (maybe more) of AML-22. I would to change with anouther switch, but i don't know what kind ? Maybe someone could help me. It's better if the switch is circular, easy to drill the panel.I've found a picture of a switch on cockpitsonic.de, which like well with a led, but they don't write reference, i attach the pic, someone know the reference and where i can find it ?Thanks at all the forum for the advice,Xavier

Guys,I can't find any english documentation for FSBUS... anyone know where to find it? I need to figure out how to read the state of annunciators in the default King Air for my LED driver board. As always, any assistance is appreciated!
