Hello,For all of us simulator building nuts, I have just been speaking with a friend of mine who flies the 737NG, and he's just told me that Boeing has changed the manufacturing contract to another company, and the MCP on the last NG that his company has received (Air Europa) has a different MCP. The layout is quite the same, but the design is different; with larger pushbuttons, blue illumination, and other differences he wasn't able to describe for the time being. How's that for all of us who have spent months trying to develop a realistic MCP?

Hi all, hope you had a great X-mas.At the cost of repeating this topic, I wanted to check if there was anyone who tried to have an environment add-on like PMDG 737TNG work together with Project Magenta to provide a complete cockpit as well as a working jet environment?I tried searching for PMDG support for FSUIPC offsets, but they seem to be lacking there. PM systems may be an answer, but based on the reviews that I seem to be hearing about PMDG 737TNG SV2, it seems just worth to investigate this option. My idea is to have the basic 737 environment set up through PMDG and have FSBUS control the simpit through Project Magenta. Obvious conflicts are in the autopilot etc, an…

Hello all, maybe the wrong froum, sorry for that, but I see there are quite a lot of LPT switch users here.My problem: I built an LPT switch, it works fine when I test it in word pad or the windows editor but it doesn't work in IL-2 Forgotten Battles. No input, neither from a push button nor from a switch is recognised.I'm using Win98SE and version 1.3 of the LPT switch program. I'm out of ideas, any help is very much appreciated. Thanks

I thought I'd share my INITIAL Gmax designs for my new B1900D home cockpit. The first thing I plan to build is the throttle quadrant. Here's a pic of what it will look like (dual throttle, prop, mixture with elevator trim and flap lever):http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/54477.jpg Here's a pic of the cockpit with the throttle in it:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/54478.jpg

I'll be uploading the VS 2003 files to my website soon.I think it's time to cut the crap and try to have some real good programmers have a look at the situation and maybe come up with a better program. Even if it is written in an other language.Who cares for credits if the thing works like a #### :(Keep en eye on my site if you're interested.

I originally got 5 to try them out and never ended up using them.If anyone wants them, just drop me a line. I don't recall what I paid for them but a dollar apiece + shipping will be fine.-Leo

Anyone knows how these are called correctly in english ?Cuz i can't find nothing on the net if i don't know the good name.I'm looking for one of those so that i can put my yoke-colum on it. Right now it's quite loos and if I don't hold it, it'd drop against the screen (from the panel).Anyone knows maybe where they sell such things ? Would save me a lot of time.

Merry Christmas/happy holidays to y'all... I have few question to ask, based on anyone experience have you all tried running two different game card modules running at same king of program FS2002/4?? To clarify this for instance EPIC USB and FSBUS together, or KE-72 and FSBUS or EPIC USB and KE-72 and/or different types of modules. The intention of my intriguing is to know if they are capable working with via linking computers such as wide client.. and not causing any confilts? Would they not causing some kind of slow data transmit/rec'ing speed rates? My plan was to build a CDU which would be working with only one module, one computer, one LCD monitor. And with o…

hi everyonefirst of all thank you very much to the whole forum community for the great help you give me in starting the adventure of home cockpit building. As I sais in my previouse posts I need to build a desktop panel that allows me to replicate realistically airline operations (ifr - multicrew) with fs2002. for this reason I need all rotaries to be capable of very fast twistings without missing inputs, so that I can switch between headings, altitudes etc... with just a coupple of quick movements, like in the real thing!I've tried keyboard hacking and lpt-switch, both proved very effective for pushbuttons and switches but not for rotaries.Which device should I buy-build?…

I am new to this forum, although I have been watching for a long while. I am in the planning stages of making a Cessna 182 cockpit. My goal is to eventually use the Simkits instruments along with the simkits CCU to interface switches and other controls to flight sim.I was originally going to model my cockpit on the older Cessna panels with the plastic instrument panels that many people hate, and the older types of rocker switches and panel layout found on the actual aircraft that I fly when I get the chance. Well I don

  20. Hi All..some more basic questions from me...sorry, but we're getting there. I'm still trying to set my FSBUS FSDisp up to read my NAV/COMs for my King Air. The problems I have are:1) The 7 segment displays for COM2 and NAV2 (only 2 I'm setting up so far to make sure I do this right) are reading NAV1 and ADF frequencies ????. I have set each with a different CID and each with their correct FS source in the selection box...I think..FLASHED with this set-up. (I'm using latest FSBUS 2.0.8). Should I be selecting other options in the set-up boxes ?2) Rotary switches - I am trying to set up a test 12 position switch just like FSBUS manual....but..have no clue how to set up. I'v…

F L A P S! - Does anyone know how to build a device for operating the flaps? I can click keys on the keyboard of course - but this is not very realistic! I could also push buttons on a joystick, but a proper flap lever would (by it's position) show degrees of flap in use. I am at a loss here and dont know what a lever would normally connect with and how whatever it is, interfaces with the PC? Your help would be much appreciated. From a very keen new member.TONY.
