Dear home cockpit builders and aviation enthusiast,Finally I have managed to finish my 737NG MCP which took my 8 months, and here are the pictures that I'll be very pleasued to share with you.All my appreciation goes to Dirk firstly, without fs-bus this could not be done, Also I would like to acknowledge the contribitons of my friends (hardcore home cokpit builders in Istanbul) Mr. Kahraman, Ahmet and Cem.The front Cover of MCP is made of 0.5 mm low density polietilen, imprinted with silk serigraphy and is backlightable.(Designed with corel draw)Butons has slight protrusion, so that easily sensed by finger tip, Display windows are colorless transparent, LED windows are y…

Hi,There are several glass cockpits available out there but all are restricted to the last generation of Airbus or Boeing. As said in an other thread the major part of today flying planes, heavies, commuters, turboprops, business jets still have cockpits with the instrument "T" layout, some of them still with 100% analog gauges. But during the 70th and 80th have been developped several airplanes with glass cokpit using the T Layout. BOEING 767/ 757 737-200 -300 - 400 - 500. AIRBUS A300 - A310DASH 8 100/200/300ATR 42 and 72 in all config. any many, many many more......Neither free, share nor payware software companies are offering today glass cockpits featuring Upper PFD,…

Would this work ... assuming the angles and mirror sizes were correct? Notes:1) The 3 outside views on the one projector is done by "undocking" the views and resizing the windows accordingly.2) The Projector is set to "rear projection" so images would appear "normal" to the viewer. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/53640.jpg

I'm thinking of designing a twin engine throttle control and using my gameport for interface with my PC. I've learned that the gameport only has 4 axis inputs. How can I make a throttle with only 4 axis? I'm looking to have two levers for power to both engines, two levers for props for both engines and two levers for mixture ... that's a total of 6 axis. HELP !?!?!

Some weeks before, a friend had post his Fsbus config file for Project Magenta, but i can find it for reference for mine.Does anyone have it? Please send it via email to [email protected] or give me the link of the thread if still avsim has it there tio download it :-)But i still have a question to make about FsBUS and EFIS:As i can see in PM's offsets, Enrico has EFIS values for MAP range and ND Modes. So with a specific offset and using a rotary switch (12 stages) i can assign to a specific position to send the fsuipc offset for a certain position (ie range = 20)But..... if i will do this i HAVE to use my EFIS and FsBUS, ONLY with PM's s/w, because other aircrafts they…

Ok, I thought I'd rather not wait to finish this. Pls if you got LPT-reload from the avsim library ... delete the exe file from the pack and replace it with this new one. There were a few BIG issues and while correcting I even noticed that a part of the code was unfinished :$ Not to worry, the part that was unfinished involved LPT2 and LPT3 and I don't think anyone has ever yet tried to use that option anyway.Hope it's 90% bug-free this time! :(I added the option to change timer speed.Timer speed is by default set to read the matrix once every second (1000/1000th of a second). You can increase speed (by making the value in the box smaler !) to as low as 1 (which means 1…

There is a new player in the glass cockpit market. Simulation Hardware have just released their first product, a Boeing 767-300 EICAS.I was asked to be on the Beta team, and I must say that for a first effort I was blown away! I can imagine some very cool stuff coming from this small NZ based team.Check out their site at:http://www.simhardware.co.nz/ I'm sure that, like me, you will be impressed.I also have some electronic bits and pieces built by these guys, and like the EICAS are nice pieces of kit indeed. All the 7 Segment LED displays in my pit are driven by their ACCIS modules, which to my non-electronic mind are brilliant, just plug the unit in, load the softwar…

Hi,This is my almost finished MCDU unit. Sorry for the low quality images ... I'm experiencing some problems with my camera. I made some extra panels, so probably I will be selling them. They come with electronics built in, including backlite and one customized FSKey board. Everything was made at home. There are some minor details that will be finished soon ... Like the screen sides and the BRT button and writing.Thanks,Caduhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/52829.jpg

I just wanted to let you know that these days I'm finishing the new version of the LPT-switch software called "Reloaded" ( cuz it IS a matrix ;p ).This time the software is written in VB.Net which is the programming language I can do most with. Last time around I had to use VB6 because the dll file wouldn't work in .NetTherefore the user interface and the capability of the program will be much more advanced and user friendly. Also there are a list of new features added.1-Possible to use up to 3 LPT ports, bringing the total up to 120 possible switches/buttons2-Still freeware !!3-Still no PCB's needed & very cheep interface and easy to build4-Two different modes to run…

Hi,Wanted to get an opinion on USB or serial port. I currently have a AFCSII Yoke which is serial port. It came with a throttle that connects via a y cable. My Ch pro pedals are USB. This setup works really well. I'm very happy with it-except for the throttle (nothing wrong with it-just want something more).I've been looking at the elite King Air stand alone throttle. It comes in two flavors: serial port or USB. I don't know for sure but it would seem that the serial port version would connect via the Y cable. There is a 50 dollar difference. Which do you think would be better overall and why? Thanks!Andy

Hello,When I try to configure the FSKey to work as a keyboard everything goes well until I configure the function keys ... The problem is that PM CDU uses CTRL+F* to make them work, but when I try to configure it under the FSBus router there is no way to do it ... It is possible to configure key shortcuts like CRTL+F1 under FSBUS ?Configuring as K+VK_CONTROL+VK_F10 do not work ... When the textbox loose focus it turns to K+VK_CONTROL or just K+VK_F10 ...Thanks,Cadu

Hey you Aussie builders out there, would appreciate any interest on the following.I'm calling to find any interest for builders that reside in Australia if they wish to purchase rotary encoders that are compatible with the REDec circuit.I have been informed the following rotary is compatible for the REDec circuit in Australia. I know how hard it is for us to get something like the Knitter switch, so this will be our best alternative.Below is a comparison of how much cheaper it is if the quantities are higher.Farnell Part No. 109113 - Bournes 24 Cycle Digital Output POT.1 - $13.0925 - $10.1650 - $8.32100 - $7.02I have also attached a spreadsheet showing the pricing of …

Hi all..I have had my FSBUS cards made up by Cadum and now I am trying to program them for FSDISP and FSKEY actions. I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the FSDISP to work properly. I am using the latest Router software form FSBUS site. The method I am using for each display is:1) Configure each 7 segment FSDISP PCB...assign a CID to each one. I have (7) 7 segment displays2) Assign where the device is going to look in FS (little box on lower right side)3) Go to FLASH menu...flash each controller (Do i do this each time for each 7 segment display controller with a PIC on the board ?)4) Return jumpers to normal mode5)After I have configured it all I get is a bunch of …
