HiI wanted to know if it is possible to use 2 CH yokes at the same time in MSFS. (ex One for the flight controls and one for modified throttle, and buttons)Someone told me that they have to be recognized as 2 seperate devices, but I can't seem to change the names of them. One more question....What you guys call "pots"- if I wanted to make a throttle quadrant out of them, how do I connect them to the computer? Sorry if all these questions have been asked- I did a searchThank you in advance, pwapilot

Today I finished the backlighting on some of my NOVA panels I have to say it deff. is he best way to go in my opinion as I have tried many diff. solutions I am hapiest with this one.I wanted to go with yellow backlighting but due to some problems with the transformer due to diff. power voltage here in europe ( from what I understand) I get green backlighting but happy with the result and descided to keep the green.Hope u all agree with the result.Nihad

I'm new to the idea of building a simpit - though having said that I've been reading this, and researching all the sites that you've all listed.I'll start off by saying what my vision is, and then what my questions are.Firstly - I'm not looking for a complete simpit - I don't have the work, or the skills to build it - and then there is the money side of it.Ideally I would like to start with the likes of either the radio shack (then can be used with any plane), MCP for my pmdg737 and then maybe some of the overhead functions. I'm not looking for the exact dimensions and if they are a mm out I'll kill myself kind of thing - more what's going to offer my the best for the li…

Greetings to all. For those of you here that have built your own electronic componentets, MCP with digital displays, etc., or are in the process of doing so, I would love to hear what your take is on someone who has just about zero knowledge/experience with electronics. As my project comes along, everday I ponder the time when I will have to start thinking about my options for an MCP/Autopilot. While I could do without an FMC and such, I'd really like to have an MCP as a first. There are commercial options for one, but I'd rather build my own if I could. Costs are a factor and secondly I would always want things in my cockpit that I built and know how to fix or replace if…

Hi all.So - I spend three years putting together an accurate full scale Twin Otter flight deck with a cracking looking overhead panel only to find that the LAGO version of Otter, can only be started with a mouse!!!LAGO have the best software by far, and I loathe to buy another companies Otter software - just so that I can start up using CTRL+E emulated to switches (not ideal). Has anybody any suggestions? I ainta computer wizard - but there must be some way round this???Desperate.TONY. From Plymouth England (where the pilgrims sailed from).

Hello, Can somebody tell me how weld or make firmly hold a wire coming from a small cable (which has a very small section) on the leg of a LED? Do there exist thimbles for such fine wire? Because it is very hard to weld... Thank you in advance for your ideas or suggestions.

you can download a new circuit for servo-motors in http://www.opencockpits.comhttp://www.opencockpits.com/uploads/images/servo.gifThis new circuit can drive two servo-motors with a little circuit connected to 8 outputs (for each servo-motor) of Master Card. The new circuit use a PIC to calibrate PWM, and receive info from Master Card. You have a 8 bits resolution for positions. This circuit not have noises and is totally stable. Can lock a position in ms (depending only servo-motor specifications).Schema, microcontroller code, and gerber files in download section.

You have two new circuits of II Generation of IOCards. This circuits using PIC microcontrollers.1) Encoders circuit can connect 4 optic rotary-encoders or another rotary-encoders with not gray code (you can connect gray encoders directly to Master Card inputs). Using 8 inputs of Master Card (2 for each Rotary-Encoder).2) Multiplexed Display circuit with special characters (for Airbus S,T,D,- symbols). You can connect 4 of this circuit to interface bus of Master Card. This circuit is for 16 displays each. You can download this circuits in www.opencockpits.com

Hi Tuomas,I know you have used the Fsbus servo board for Flap position indication.I have a potentiometer for flap postion and want to show its position.I built the Servo board and using the test slider i can make the Servo travel 90 degrees. However when i use it to show Flap position it operates in a strange fashion.Does your one operate this way as well. When say 10 degrees is selected the servo does not move initially ,then it will move to about 2/3 of its position and stop then will got to finall pos and stop.If you look at the reading in fsbus value box nothing appears there untill the the 2/3 position at which time the value appears then finally the value box will sh…

Hi folks,I am a 747 classic cockpit builder. I wasn't consider to build any G/A cockpit BEFORE I see this one. Well, I know someone must prefer the old day. I like both. I have tio admit that it is attractive!! Especially putting this high technology on this ordiinary aircraft. I hope someone will write the simulating program for the G1000 soon as it will be widely used. Even on the Cessna Mustang and DA42http://www.se.cessna.com/g1000/features.htmhttp://www.se.cessna.com/g1000/images/wall...anel_04_big.jpgI really hope to build this cockpit. Glasscockpit with steam gauges!PS. wonder if Microsoft will put it as option in the next MSFS
