since my question in some thread here was not answered and i'm just a curious person :( i ask again.how many steppers for 1 stepper board ?if it can accomodate more than a few, than i might concider this option for my engine panel. however i'll be looking into hanging a 15" CRT behind that panel and do some of the gauges dummy and others via the CRT. if that doesn't work and the fsstepper thing looks like a good way to go, then i'd still need to figure out if i can get the values from the gauges out of Espens panel ...sure he would answer me via e-mail that he will look into how to get those values out for me but at the rate he's programming keys into the switch gauges …

This is a great deal for any newbie in cockpit building.Im discontinuing my home cockpit project, and have this for sale.Im selling my Flight Deck Solutions Glare Package and assembled and mounted key set. All the pushbuttons are wired and ready to be connected to a device like the hagstrom ke-72.It is in very good condition since I never even got a chance to use it in my simulator.Ill give away my 3D NOVA MIP to anyone who buys the glare shield, because of a crack on one of the panels. This can be repaired though, and is hardly noticable now.Im asking for $200USD. Thats $300 and a lot of work you will save.Check out the FDS website. WWW.flightdecksolutions.com to see t…

Hi all!I have read what i can about the IOCARD projct over at opencockpits.com. If they get where they aim with the software emulation of the 737 systems integrated to FSUIPC its a very interesting thing. My reasearch adds up to:+ Very modular hardware platform.+ USB+ Most logic is software based = no pic programming problems+ Airplane systems (electric, fuel, hydraulics etc) managed by SW logic and integrated to the FS via FSUIPC. Nice for building a functioning overhead panel :-)))- PCBs are not common-man-DIY. Double sided pcbs probably means professional manufacturing. I've sent the gerber files for the PCBs to a manufacturer (olimex.com), but they couldn't do them bec…

All,I am building a GPS on a second monitor for my King Air cockpit. I can drag and drop the display (have tried the built in FS9 GPS as well as FS FlightXax). The problem is that while I can get the display on the second monitor no problen (7"XGA display), vut the FRMAE of the GPS takes up a portion of the display. Since I am using real switches to control the unit, I don't want anything in the GPS window except the data area... no frames.Does anyone know of a program that will go full screen on just the display, as in the Project Magenta ND display? Any assistance is appreciated.

I have constructed the FSBUS ComIII, display abd Key boards. Everything is running fine except for the fact that I have to use a 12 volt supply instead of 9. It seems the voltage doubler (NE555) is not doing its job properly. I have only 8 volts at pin 3. Is it possible that I have used a wrong value cap? I equated the 100n and the 10n cap to .1 and .01 microfarads. Is this correct? The unit will run on 9 volt supply but when flashing the pic I have to have 12 volts supplied. Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks to all those that posted suggestions to help me with various problems I am having with my LAGO Twotter.I have solved most of my switch emulation problems,by using FSUIPC. There is one switch not listed, it is "Anti Collision". This provides the nav lights to flash. It's not the Beacon which flashes at the base of the tail. I think Anti Collision is an old expression and wonder if there is a modern word(s) to cover it, and appearing in FSUIPC listings? I don't just want to hit "L" to put the lot on at once so as to include the stubborn "Anti Collision" switch!Any thoughts, anybody?TONY GERARD. Plymouth, England.

Hi guys, Here are some photos of guage faces(Boeing 757) that I have been working on for my project. I hope you enjoy them. What I have completed so far are 2 standby airspeed indicators and 3 standby guages, VSI, Alt, etc. There are others in the works but these are not completed yet. For those of you who like them and would like to know how I made them, here it goes. The first step was to draw them on paper. Using a compass and ruler that is what I did, and then made many copies. For materials I used clear plastic that I found at home depot. Placing what I drew as a sandwich between 2 pieces of plastic, I made the outer cuts with a jigsaw. After this I drilled the …

Hello-I couple weeks ago I stripped down a spare PS2 Dell Keyboard to build an emulator. The keyboard card has no wires running into holes, it just had little black triangles that line up with one of the plastic sheets. Is there anyway that I can use this keyboard or should I get a new one? If so, which is best for what I want to do?Thanks, pwapilot

Hello AllIam planning on changing from FSBUS to IOCARD and have a few questions to all out there that use IOCARD. 1. How is the refresh speed? This is why Iam changing since FSBUS updates to slow to drive motors for gauges.2. I am planning on stepper motor to drive engine gauges. Is there a home sensor needed to drive the gauges to at start-up?3. The .dat files to show how to config the software does not show a stepper motor. Does anyone have one running to show that?4. I am planning on using stepper motors since it uses only 4 outputs and servo will take 8 outputs. How smooth is the stepper driving? Is the rotation smooth or jumpie? Thanks to all and look forward to hear …
