Has anyone made any of the fsbus system on vero boards? How hard is it to translate the plans to vero board?Just thinking of alternatives with the cost of getting the boards etched at over $150nzd for the key, com and display. (Approx $100usd)Just trying to find a cheaper way - if anyone has done this I would love to hear from you.

Ok here's the thing.I did manage to set the lever to go in reverse via fsuipc setting the 3 detents. Now I've changed the system to use slide pots instead of rotating pots. Added a 2 axis controller to the winXP config thing. Than set up those 2 axis to go for engine throttle 1 and engine throttle 2 in fs2002. No problem yet. Now I go to fsuipc and select that I have different throttles per engine. I go to page 3 and there I can set the detents of the throttles. However, I can only set for Throttle 1 (got no button on any other throttle with the "set" text on it). Also the value of the pots is going mad. On full power i get 16159 quite stable. If I go down to reverse …

Hello Everyone,Firstly I would like to thank Richard Alty for taking the time to have these decoders produced and all blame, shame and flames should be directed solely at ME not him. Ok it seems that some people are having trouble connecting these (due to lack of documentation) or even getting these decoders to work particularly with FSBUS and I wish to apologize to everyone for all this trouble.I am awaiting the decoder myself from Richard so as soon as I have it and can determine how the actual components correlate to my schematics (the reverse engineering part), I will then be able to prepare a proper pinout and interconnectivity diagram(s) and documentation. Now for th…

I though (again), that it would be a good idea to have one single thread with continuing problems or list of fixed problems for the new version of FSBUS.For starts I wish to thank Dirk once again for his work and time.1. Rotary Encoders + Redec. Fixed and works perfectly. Now you can connect 32 rotaries to a key PCB, each occupying 2bits. A lot of saved ports!2. Connected to the above, the x2 increase/decrease problem is fixed.3. Radio frequencies Mhz and Khz handling. This is confusing. I'm using 2 rotary encoders for each frequency. One for the Mhz (step in FSBUS 1000, Integer only checked), and one for the Khz (step in FSBUS 25, nothing checked). When I run FSBUS a…

Last night I was working on a new design for a center-mounted (between the legs) fighter cockpit control stick. Actually, I was machining a piece of the system. The lathe I was using is one that I inherited from my father, who inherited it from his father. The data plate says it was built in New York, NY 1906. This makes it ninety-eight years old. Now, most of the followers of this forum are still young and don

The good news is that the decoder boards arrived today. The bad news is I didn't realise my PIC programmer doesn't handle the 14pin 16F676 PICs :-(I've emailed Leo to ask if I can make a socket adapter, or if I'll need to get hold of a new programmer, and will keep you all updated.Richard

Hi guys!Working on an APU, Electrics and fuel logic with the SUPERB CCC, thanks Dirk!!!Issues found:1. Inter-CCC-object variables. How do I do it?. I want the fuel system object to end with an output variable that stores if the fuel system is pressurized or not. I want to use that in another CCC-object, like and APU, as an input. How? Any Ideas?2. Timers... How do they work? Cant get any sense in the "On time" and "Off time" variables... I set the OnTime to 10000 and the first time it waits 10 seconds to raise the output to 1. It goes back to 0 instantly as it should when the left side goes down. But after that it doesn't pause the 10 secs when I raise the left side again…

Ok here's my situation and my question:I need to get the reverse on the same potentiometer as the trottles. In a F50 you have several detentes and if you pull all the way back you get reverse. Probably similar to Airbus system if i'm not mistaken. How can I make this work in fs ? I've tried to find out via fsuipc but it doesn't work. Maybe I do something wrong or maybe I need a newer version of fsuipc ?

Saw the XPUIPC for IO. Great job.Does anyone know of an FSUIPC equivalent for X-Plane that we can use with FSBUS...and/or with MS Flight Sim?The flight modeling in XPlane is so much better than MSFS...but the graphics are better in MSFS (IMHO). I'm thinking of using XP as the simulator base and have FSBUS run the cockpit into XP. I then want to use MSFS as the outside scenery generator. Proj Magenta or FreeFD will need a port into the XPlane as well.Anyone have any ideas/experience?Thomas

XPLUIPC for X-plane is available for downloading.http://www.opencockpits.com/images/x-plane.gifThis software developed by Alberto Beaterio gives access to any IOCP client to X-Plane variables. The software works as an IOCP server.IOCards can know be connected to X-Plane. In a short time ON737 will be able to connect to X-Plane too. You can download from www.opencockpits.com

Need help everybody: I have installed the latest version of FSBUS. I have built and flashed the display board, and keys board. Everything seems to be working just fine. One small problem, I am not writing to FSBUS. I can change the standby freq. on my radio panel, but it does not change anything on the FS9 radio panel. Am I doing something wrong? My Nav1 is set for CID 1, standby for CID 2, and my keys board is CID 3. Any Ideas?

Hi,I am using an expansion slot for my Aerosoft MCP747 panel. It is connected to the expansion port1. There are many switches connected (fuel cutoff, nav id, doors,....) i want to connect a push button for AVC.That means, when i push this button AVC should send, when i release it it should stop sending. The difficult on this is, that the keys are not recognized from FS, so i have to programm PTT on and PTT off from FSUIPC to those key. And that is, what iam not understanding. I painted the problem in paint, i hope you understand my big problem and help me find a solution for it.greetingsMark

Just wanted to share with my fellow Airbus builders my excitement of getting the knobs build for the ENG Master Switches. It's hard sometimes to duplicate parts we can't get, particularly of a fairly new aircraft. So working with a multitude of pictures I was able to make drawings of the knob. Then the problems was designing it to fit/work with the right kind of switch. Of course Aribus probably has the switch custom designed, and most likely costing over a $1,000 a switch. Well.... I didn't want to spend that much money, lol. Believe me, mine cost MUCH less. So off I went to my local friendly Machine shop and low and behold.... this is what I got. http://www.flightdeckso…

Can someone help me with this one?I want to flip a switch (momentary) and have my PC play a pre-recorded message (.wav file). I'm using keyboard emulation, but I can also wire the switch to a hacked joystick button I have. What do I need to do in my PC to have it play this file when I flip the switch?

OK guys: I have built my rotary switch using a single pole, 12 position rotary switch. My problem is.....it doesn't work! I have bridged every third contact, giving me 4 wires at the end plus common. Does the controller have to be configured to any special CID? Does anyone have a better picture of how the 5 wires now attach to the keys controller boardl? Why was this board configured so that one can not get the female connector onto the Keys pins? the spacing is too close to use a socket on the ribbon cable. HELP! HELP! HELP!
