Good day to everyone,I have been thinking and thinking and I have decided to interface my analoue 747-200 gauges with the CCU from simkits. As I will use my own instruments and not theirs I will need to write the software myself. This will be a very big challenge for me as I never have been writing software. Is there anyone who knows a tutorial about the sdk from Microsoft? And is it possible to interface gauges that are usually not used in FS like the N1 and the N2 gauges. I really hope there is someone who can help me with this one.Regards,Boy Bruin

Hi,Is there a way to show only the radio stack (full screen) on a separate monitor using WideFS. I want to use a monitor for the external view, another on the same PC (running FS) for the gauges and another one using WideFS showing the radio stack.I want to put the monitor on it's side and use a software like Pivot pro to rotate the desktop 90 degree, this way the radio stack would look more real.ThanksMichel

Hi everyone,I'm in the beginning of a cockpit project and I want to have a separate screen for the instruments. I want to build a Cessna 172 cockpit. I've hooked two computer with FSUIPC and WideFS and tried the IFR from Magenta, it's great but it's a bit expensive. Is there a way to customize a panels and put it on a second screen just like magenta? Is there tools included with FS2004? I am a programmer, so having to type code is not a problem.Any help would be welcome!ThanksMichel (newbie)

Hi guys, Here are some more photos to update this great place on my 757 panel. Almost overnight I changed my mind from using wood and instead re-cut the panel out of clear plastic. After painting the result is good. I am not totally satisified with the brown, it is too light, so in the near future I will touch things up with a darker brown to more closely resemble that boeing brown. I have included some close-up photos of what I did with the PFD and ND displays. Those of you who are familiar with the 757/767 panel may notice that in the top part of these displays are what I nicknamed "holders" I'm not sure what they're called, but I gave it my best to model them. Mi…

Hi,I'm new in the world of flight sims and I try use VB code to interface with FS. I hooked 2 PCs with FSUIPC and WideFS used the SDK to send and receive info to and from FS2004. I was successfull with some readings (clock) and writings (pause) but when I try the throttle control it doesn't work, I use the 088C offset. What I'm doing wrong??Anybody have experience with VB for that kind of program?Anybody have sample code for writing offsets to FS.I want to use the second PC to control everything (radio stack, throttle, mixture and all other controls) is it possible? Thanks for any help.Michel (newbie)

Hi guys, Can someone help me refresh my memory......there is a website I visited a while ago that had some printable guage art, like VSI, Altitude, Attitude indicator's etc. I've drawn a total blank. If anyone knows what I'm talking about or knows of a site where I can print out some guages to use as non-working guages, please let me know. I'm looking for something to decorate my panel until I have it hooked up to the monitors. Regards, Ricardo

Good day everybody,I am totally new at this forum. It's great that there are places like these to discuss all kinds of important things. I should have sign in earlier. My question is how I have to interface my own instruments with the FS computer. I will use FSBUS to interface all the normal and the CCC functions. I know I can buy complete instruments of the simkits group, but I will buy a complete package of all the instruments and the panels of the mighty Boeing 742 very soon. Because all the engine indications are shown by the round analogue gauges I need to interface them. I hope there are some people around here that has interfaced there own instruments. The advantage …

Hi all..I am setting up pots in the FS router but can't figure out how to set them up so they work properly. I am using FS AD for pitch, aeileron, rudder trims and flaps. They all flashed and are recognized. My problem is: When I turn my wheel one way the pitch wheel indicator goes down and when I turn my trim wheel the other way the pitch still goes down. How can I set it up so when I turn the wheel forward the pitch goes down and when the wheel goes backwards pitch goes up.Anyone got any ideas please ?Many thanks...JB

Is it possible to use NVIEW with PM/WIDEFS. With 1 computer you will have 2 monitors or more, and expend less money with hardware. You could run PFD, FD, ND in the same computer. Someone did it ?Thiagohttp://www.thiaguin.theblog.com.br/forum.jpg

Hello everyone,I want to repaint the letter on some of my overhead panel. They are white in color originally, now wear badly after years of non-air conditioned storage. What kind of pen shall I use for the lettering? I am afraid the normal (typical) white pen color would cover the illumination effect. Please suggest what kind of pen and material shall I use for panel lettering. thanks!Alkit

Hi,I ordered recently some small items at CSI Canada. I paid online and never got any e-mail confirmation. I posted later a mail asking if the order was received and if everything was ok. No answer. I did wait some days and wrote for a new feedback. Still no reply at all.Who are that people. Is anyone here with experience dealing with them??I hate dealing with peoples or companies having a bad communication.I cant imagine that my little order of 50$is not worth an answer.Regards to allRoger
