How many of you are planning on attending the conference in Denver ths year? Just wondering... I am planning on going and it sure would be great to hook up with all the folks who have been so helpful in this forum! I mean... there are simmers... and then there are builders - you know... not to sound like a snob, but kind of like "there are those who dream, and those who do..." Not to cast aspersions or anything, but I do think that we kind of the elite of the sim world ;)If you are planning on going and if you feel like it, send me an email at "mm at mmorrell dot com". Maybe we can all set aside a time to all gather in the bar together instead of walking around askin…

Hi all, Well I have finally picked up the tools again after some time & made some progress building my Pit, The pit I am building is not a boeing flight deck but is planned to be a tandem fighter class pit, will be using Boeing Glass Instruments & a full set of steam guages though, Currently working on the front seat, the B/N position (Rear seat) will be a stage two in the project.Anyway us builders down here in Australia & NZ have a little forum of our own, it's pretty quiet there but we have a section where we can post progressive pictures, so here is a link to my efforts to date.http://www.simhardware.co.nz/forums/viewtopic.php?p=299#299Any feedback positiv…

Hello fellasWasn't it supposed to be released a few FSBUS upgrades which, if I remember correctly, should include a stepper-motor controller and a Cockpit Construction Center???Does anyone have any info on that??Thanks a lotPaulo

Does anyone out there have a schematic or pcb design that will allow the use of the smaller 8mm led displays using the dual in line package? If so I would appreciate getting a copy. This, of course, has to be compatable with FSBUS.

Hi everybody! I've got two computers, one with the fs2004 and the other with project magenta. I would like if its posible to put the teamspeak in the second computer (with pm). I tried to do it, but it was impossible. The teamspeak worked in the second computer, but I would like to change the frequency in the sqawkbox in the fs2004 computer and automatically change the server and the room of theamspeak putted into the second computer. Somebody knows how to do it?Also I would like to know if nowadays exists a program that when I change the freq in the radio stack of my cockpit changes automatically the frequency in the teamspeak and in squawkbox.Bests,Borja Perera

Hi Again :D Today, I went to my electronics store and picked up a keyboard along with 4 switches, wire, a terminal strip, and a breadboard. I stripped down my keyboard and this one is going to work fine. I tested out one switch and it works great. But I have a problem...How am I going to use my regular keyboard with the emulator? Will everything work with two keyboards? I am planning to buy a PS2 to USB adapter (if there is such a thing). One more thing - this should work with 767 PIC, right?I'll start posting some pics when I start building some components. Maybe I'll put up a website with my wonderful experiences on it. :-lol Take care, pwapilot

I have built all off my FSBUS cards and everything is working just great. I have only one problem left. I can not get the decimal point to work the way the docs say it should. I put the 120 ohm resistor where stated and nothing happens. My only thought is that I have etched the circuit board in the wrong direction. If anyone who has a working decimal point has a segment board that they can send a picture to me of the proper orientation and parts placement, I would appreciate [email protected]

Hi,Does anyone here use Aerosoft MCP 747 for flight sim?I just bought a used one from Canada. I may get it in a week. Although this unit is for 747-400, I don't think there are any 744 can be flown in FS2004 which can perform all its functions.Would someone suggest me what is the best FS2004 addon (freeware or payware) for performing MCP 747 functions?Furthermore, is it possible to convert its front plate by light plate or real plate?(keeping it own swicthes and knobs)Except its own official website, does any other wbsite which talks about it?ThanksAlkit

Hi allDoes the second (and third) video card for multiple screen output have to be anything special? I have been under the impression that the main card in the pc does all the processing and the extra (pci) cards only dump images, in which case a standard 4MB PCI card may suffice, but I'm not sure about this. Can anyone shed further light on this subject and advise suitable pci cards for this purpose. I think this will be of interest to many others considering multiple monitors. Thanks in advanceIan

Hi,after a hard team work, the last seven months, we are now very close to our first target: a Complete and Accurate MCP with Dual EFIS for Boeing 737 NG.The idea is based in Fsbus software and schematics. All the other PCBs and Panels are custom made, according project needs and parts availability in the market. This is a first picture from the EFIS panel before the assembly with the PCB and all the other h/w components (switches, rotaries etc).In a few days, we plan to have ready and full working the MCP and then the radios. So we finally want to say a "Thank you Captain" to Dirk for his efforts and improvements in FsBus, supporting in this way our hobby. Best regardsBeh…

Hello guysI was looking at the display controller schematics, from FSBUS, and should I connect the PIC pins to both cathode display pins or just one of them? Or it doesn't matter? Thanks a lotPaulo

I am planing to build my own generic flight control system from scrash by connecting all sort of switches together to make stick, throttle and rudder units all connecting to Xkeys matrix board. But I'm wondering how many axis does Xkeys support? In the download manual didn't mention anything about axises, which I need loads of them for sticks, throttles, rudder, breaks, speadbreaks, mixture, prop pitch, wingsweap etc.... I plan to use potentiometers for all these axis but don't know Xkeys would take it. thanks

Hi everyone, Here are a few photos of the 757 throttle quadrant that I am working on. As you can see, it is still in it's very early stages, but I am working on it. I believe I did ok with the measurements. Also, pretty soon I will be able to take better photos. So far everything has been done with a webcam. For those who might have missed the Boeing guage faces that I have been working on, here is the link where I posted them http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...d=8213&page=2...

Hello All,I have a working FS-bus system with, off-course, the key board.Currently i am using the 12 position rotary switches. All fine only these kind of rotary's rotate heavy and not very realistic. All over the internet i read about the rotary encoders or knitter switches or whatever. I have absolutely no clue wich kind of rotarys i can use with fs bus.Can anyone explain to a rotary dummy what types i can use, maybe a conrad part# or whatever.Your help i highly appreciated.Rogier

To get more outputs, FSDISPLAY for example, have someone tried to assign to the same CID an input module and an output modulefor ex. CID=2 for FSKEY and the same CID=2 for FSDISPLAY ...Is that possible, and does that works ?I'vnt tried yet but theorically it seem possible that's not in the doc but as one is input datas and the other output's that may not cause bugs or conflicts ?What's your experienceThank'sBOB :-yellow1

Does anyone know what additional electronics are needed to connect ALPS rotary encoders to the FSBUS keys pcb? and if you do where can I purchase or get a layout to build a board?
