Greetings, I'm new to the forum, but an old time sim guy, going back to the 70's. Along the way, I've put in a lot of hours and certainly picked up a LOT of bad habits. As I get older, the thought of flying in a world with real people intrigues me more and more. Leaning more to general aviation flying (and lack of procedure knowledge) has kept me from VATSIM. Hi everyone, Not sure if you can help - but I had a most frustrating FSX crash just after landing at EGLL during the recent Heathrow overload event. Frames were fine so I don't think it was something to do with being overloaded memory wise. I was flying Aerosoft A319 at the time with ASN, REX soft cloud textures, EZDOK installed. My specs: i7 4790k (not overlocked), GTX970, SSD 512GB, 1TB hard drive, 2x8GB RAM. Any help much appreciated. So I had an incident with a controller tonight which I choose to not disclose to be more respectful than he was. In my 13 years of Vatsim flying I have never seen a situation like this happen so I want to see if anyone can give me their 2 cents on the matter. I was flying to an airport in the US for the whole flight there where no communicating or controlling airspace.So it was a 122.8 SQ 1200 for the whole 5 hour flight. I was literally 3 feet away from my PC studying my PTS for my real world check-ride that I am taking in a few days. Hello everyone, I have recently installed P3D V3.2 and have had constant CTD with Vpilot. I have confirmed that P3D works fine, but when I start Vpilot and try to do a model matching test, P3D freezes up and stops responding. Upon closing the program and looking at the error, it appears to be an apphangb1 error, which does not tell me much. THis only happens when Vpilot cannot load a model from the model matching rule. I have the IVAO MTL and old IVAO vmr rules from a previous install, but when trying to run a model match test, P3D crashes. I have tried multiple rule sets, including a custom one from VMR generator, but all fail. How do I fix this? Thanks in …

Hello. I've got a question about Boeing 777 flightplan remarks. I use www.edi-gla.co.uk for my planning and I don't understand RMK/TCAS or TCAS EQUIPPED. There isn't any Boeing 777 without TCAS. I don't understand the reason to write this in the flightplan.

OS Windows 10 latest update. FSX Acceleration (Gold) I installed FSInn (Ran as administrator) in the folder C:\FSX Add-Ons\FSFDT using the guide 'FSInn in 20 minutes' by Andre Koloschin (English Version 2.04). Restarted PC. Without Flight Simulator running I started the application once "FSInnUI.exe" as administrator from the the FSFDT application in the start menu. Once it started I clicked on "Chat" and then closed the application. Restarted PC once again. On running FSX I get the message - "Component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of it's dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid". Hello, Is there a way to use IVAO's MTL for my model matching in VATSIM? If not, what can I do to get a corresponding model matching to MTL's one?

Hi, I have poked around the Vatsim site and mainly have one main question. How exactly does this service work? Are there just specific towers/airports that are controlled? Do controllers cover several airports/airspaces? Are there specific schedules for when a controller is available? Is this information readily available? NEVER MIND: Problem resolved ... the LX-3000 was showing up in FSFDT as Wave-Modem #3 Line Record and Wave - Modem #3 Line Playback. Really screwy that that was the problem. Problem: I cannot receive or transmit voice using my Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 headset/mic. When I enter the FSFDT Control Panel (Voice | VATSIM selected) ... the Microphone and Headset combo boxes do not show this USB device. Closer inspection in Device Manager (in the Sound, video and game controllers section) in fact does display the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 peripheral and it is operating properly. So, my question is why would FSFDT Control Panel not recognize the headset? …

After much self-testing I have to throw in the towel and ask a question that I'm sure has already been asked but I can't find the solution to. :fool: Computer specs: win7x64bit/NVIDIA gtx970/i7@4970 4.0ghz running p3d v2.5 first issue: pmdg 777lr ONLY when connected to VATSIM becomes unusuable.. no gear or controls. and completely cold/dark flight deck with no functionality. Hey, I have been trying to get the IVAO model matching rule set working with vPilot, but no joy. I have installed vpilot, and the mtl for IVAO, and checked the FSX .cfg for the correct entry, but when I go into vpilot's settings and go to the model matching tab, it doesn't have the IVAO rule set option. Does anyone know why this might be?

Greetings, Is there some where I can see the pro's and con's between the three pilot clients for VATSIM. At the moment, from what I've read/seen: - FSInn is the most comprehensive/detailed but also needs FSCopilot to operate, also the most complex to install - Squawkbox has a less capable interface, is easier to install compared to FSInn, but seems to be having quite a few problems with the server at the moment - vPilot, the new boy on the block, easy to install, very limited interface Can anyone provide comments about the system they use please? Hello I want to learn flying VFR in down under, australia. Now I have read somewhere that I could use CTAF frequencys on VATSIM. But will I be able to enter this frequencys via VPilot in FSX? Any experiences? And if so, where to get the right frequencys? Thank you very much!

Hi all, Having a problem with my FSX loading some textures. It doesn't seem to want to load airport vehicle textures or IVAO/Vatsim/AI Traffic textures. It loads my aircraft and all the other scenery textures fine. I am running FSX on windows 8 in Direct X 10 preview mode (only mode that doesn't make it crash). Am I missing something?? Thanks, Sam

I've just joined Vatsim and considering moving up to a small regional jet. I would like it to be in the 50 passenger or so range, so I'm thinking a CRJ-200. I found talk of one of Facebook, but no posts since 2014. I know that Aerosoft is bringing out a 700/900, but I'm not looking to go that big. Can anyone recommend a good CRJ-200 for Vatsim, or something in that range? Thanks, Ernie

Is there a gauge to install in any plane, that could show me the traffic on Vatsim using Vpilot? I really enjoy simplicity of the Vpilot, it works very well but I'm really missing the radar , like in Fsinn. mike

I issued many FSInn flight plans and saved them. Suppose I have to format my hard drive ( Windows 7 ).What would happen to the saved FSInn flight plans ? Are they stored in some folders of my computer ? And if yes,where ? Does FSInn store them ? Or would they be lost after formatting the hard drive ? Hubert Werni
