Hello, is there any way to implement a change of callsign while still connected? For example you arrive as DLH6LM in EDDM and are continuing as DLH2PF out of EDDM. So far you have to prefile the flightplan to reserve the callsign and then just quickly disconnect and reconnect with the new callsign. It would be much more realistic if you could change your callsign while still connected to the server, maybe even through communication with add-on aircrafts such as FS-Labs A320 in P3D. That vPilot changes the callsign accordingly when you get the new flight plan uplink into the aircraft. KR, Alexander

Hi, I cannot connect to vpilot. I haven't had used my account for 3 or 4 years, so I went to the vatsim website and reactivated my account and got a new password. However, when I want to login vpilot states: [11:24:34] Network error: Invalid CID/password [11:24:35] Disconnected from network. Why is this not working?

Hello. I‘m about to try VATSIM for the first time and have a few questions: 1.) I‘ve got Ultimate Traffic Live installed. Do I need to apply any specific settings in order to get only VATSIM Traffic displayed? Do I have to just stop UTL in P3D, or do I have to alter any config-files? 2.) What about the weather? Can I use Active Sky for P3D to generate the weather? Will this be the same weather as used on VATSIM? 3.) Is VATSIM always using real / current time? Thank you, best regards, Toto

Hi, i have a strange problem when i fly online with vpilot. sometimes i get strange graphics on ground. when i disconnect vpilot everything back to normal. i always delete the shaders before i fly. i use fsx with all updates! attached an example what i mean!

To all, I'm fairly new to VATSIM and I am after mic recommendations. Ideally (for me) it would be > 1. an over the top of head type with only one ear pad with ear pad side capable of mounting Track IR5. 2. prefer (USB or BT ?) wireless capable of configuring / assigning a PTT transmit button to my CH controllers via a keyboard key assignment. Recently decided to try Vatsim again, can't log-in on vPilot using the ID and password I used on the Vatsim website. Unsure why that was, I decided to try making a new account on Vatsim and have no idea how to do so. Firstly, the sign-up form asks to set a password reminder before I've set a password, and clicking 'register me' just gives me a message saying something went wrong because I didn't chose a division. All fields on the sign-up form where filled in, and there was nothing about choosing a division. How do people get on the network?

Hello, I recently have gotten back into Flight Simulation on VATSIM and have been enjoying it a lot. To improve my performance, I have moved to a newer computer and have reinstalled all the necessary software including vPilot. However, after going through the necessary setup, and opening FSX, when I try to connect to the server, it gives the the error "Network error: Client authentication response timeout" following which I get disconnected from the server. I don't have a solution to this problem. I have tried running both FSX and vPilot on Administrator, reinstalled it a couple of times, and even try the recommended compatibility settings. I am having the weirdest of problems with vPilot (and also EuroScope when observing). The sound/comms randomly stops working until press the transmit button. It is as if vPilot loses connection with the network but is then resolved immediately when I press send. This happens in vPilot and also in EuroScope, but no other software. I have wondered if this is related to my sound setup (using VoiceMeeter with virtual sound devices), but then I believe I should have noticed this with other software as well - especially communications software. Hi there, I have a maybe stupid question about vatsim, as I‘m preparing to dive into it soon: when I use Apps to check the available ATCs, I often find that only one or two airports/areas are covered by controllers, yet hundred of planes are in the air all over (in this case) Europe, not even close to ATC covered areas and airports. My question is why? Why fly on Vatsim when there is no ATC „working“ for your route/destination/arrival? What are they doing? All typing every step into unicom? When I was at my filed cruising altitude of FL270, the radar controller instructed me to climb to FL350. I followed the instructions and climbed to the assigned altitude. My question is, why did they instruct me to climb to a higher altitude although I was at my filed cruising altitude? My guess right now is that there was a lot of traffic since it was a Friday night over Germany. However, I did disconnect in the middle of the flight due to personal reasons, so I did not get any other instructions. This makes me wonder if the ATC would've instructed me to descend back to FL270. It would be greatly appreciated if someone could confirm this for me.

I'm about a dozen flights in on Vatsim. Long time 737 simmer, capable of reading NaviGraph charts, user of Pilot2ATC, frequent listener of LiveATC.net, reasonably proficient with the aircraft systems and FMS, so I felt that I had enough of the boxes checked and was ready to begin using Vatsim. Hello,I try to open the map.vatsim.net location in order to watch traffic - Atcs. The page loads successfully but for some reason no trafficc present neither ATC sectors. just remains blank map.Did any other user experienced that before? Gents and Ladies: I am an avid flight simmer but have never engaged in team simming. I have been trying to seriously learn to fly properly using FSX:SE, X-Plane, and P3Dv4 simulators for almost a year and now wish to expand my experiences. Hello, Vpilot was working fine until I recently updated Windows 10. I have done exactly the same configuration as before; firewalls set, tried a reinstall, cleaned all folders etc and yet I am getting connection to host failed error. Any help appreciated Thank you Paul

Hey guys, I've FLAI models installed on my p3dv4.1 root folder, then I realized it was loading everytime I opened the sim, and it was taking too long to do it... So I figured it out and wanted to make like my IVAO models, where I installed on a different folder, so I can choose to load it or not using my simobjects.cfg. But how do I uninstall the FLAI models from the P3D root folder, to install it again on a different folder? Do I just have to delete all the "FLAI_..." folders from the simobjects folder, or do I have to delete from other places like "textures"? I know that when I install it again, I have to make another entry on the simobjects.cfg, but how can I…

Hi all I am just returning to flight sim and having finalised monitor and controller type issues I am now onto sound. I have some rear mounted wall speakers that I power via a Soundlaster X7 external card which works great. I also have my headset plugged in. At the moment I can get sound via either the headset or the rear speakers. What I would really like to do is have the aircraft noise through the rear speakers and the ATC comms/vpilot through the headset. I'm a bit of a tech noob so haven't worked out how to do this. Would greatly appreciate any advice! Thanks
