I consider to become a Vatsim controller but before doing so I wish to ask questions: I noticed that the voice qualities are poor and sometimes impossible to understand...therefore I wonder if a controller can use text messages only,rather then voice. Hubert Werni

How do I receive text messages from FSInn ? I am sending a text message to ATC but never get an answer back. It works fine with squawk box but I want to achieve it with FSInn. Any idea what the problem could be ? Tks Hubert Werni

I am running Windows 7 and downloaded FSCopilot and FSInn,both were successfully installed. However when trying to configure FSInn the troubles start : 1) I am supposed to get aircraft processing within FSCopilot.Does not happen. 2) On FSX,I cannot get an add-on indicating FS Copilot. 3) Cannot connect to Vatsaim. I like FSInn,especially the feature where ( as a controller ) I can see the incoming aircrafts,providing distances and other data. Therefore I try to make it work and would apprceciate if anybody can give me hints. Hi All, As you may see from previous posts I have slowly been building up my skill in FSX and my long term plan is to become a virtual pilot. I have owned the game for 4 months and initial spent the first 4 learning the stock aircraft and ILS Landings. I then bought myself something for fun (A Carenedo Phenom) and continued glying GPS then ILS Landings. Moved onto flying High and Low altitude airways and them for better at my flight plans and using IFR approached and FSX ATC. Hi all I've breifly searched the forums & wasn't able to find anything rgd my issue, So basically connect to vatsim with vpilot over network with client pc , no problems connecting & seeing & hearing atc & other pilots. But according to the controllers they are seeing me x2 in the voice room, with that when I PTT I can hear my own voice coming back at me?. The controllers say they can only see one of me on radar but also hear the feed back from double voice connections. I did reinstall vpilot on main pc & remote but this still happend. Hi there! I use vPilot v 1.1.5556.33545 with the IVAO MTL. Tonight, I flew from EDDF to FSDT´s LSGG. In Frankfurt, I saw all the traffic, but when I arrived in Geneva, I could only see the lights of the aircraft: I checked several other busy airports (EDDT, EGLL), and the traffic showed up, perfectly matched. What could cause this problem? Thanks in advance!

Anyone tried voice recognition for typing on unicom?

I'm looking into getting a Europe addon airport. Who knows whats the most controlled airport in Europe that i can purchase to use for Vatsim!? I was thinking Geneva? But not sure if this manned alot?

All What is the offical procedure to follow when in unstaffed airspace cruising at FL(whatever) and monitoring Unicom 122.8, when that airspace suddenly becomes staffed. How would you know when that happens? Do all aircraft wihin that airspace get a VPilot txt message to say a controller is now manning the sector?

i just started up on VATSIM with VPILOT does anyone know if the NGX does the squawk ident on any of the panels instead of going into the vpilot menu etc?

Hello everyone, I have had some model matching issues with FSINN and I need to resolve them. I have the IVAO MTL package, but not the ACID program to match them. Is there anyone who can point me to the right link for downloading ACID, or give me an alternate program? The reason I ask is that FSINN keeps loading the PMDG 777 for aircraft, which causes quite a bit of memory loading, leading to a OOM. If I do the model re-matching, will FSINN use only the ivao models? And what effect does that have on VAS? Thanks in advance, 1251452

2nd time in the past couple of years that I've tried to set up VATSIM through VSInn. Even tried VPilot. Very frustrating. I can connect to VATSIM through FSInn (VATSIM turns steady green), enter my flightplan, etc. but when I go to "chat" and ask if there is "anybody home"... no response. Have followed all instructions implicitly. Got server IP through VATSpy. I may be in my 60's but I still have one or two marbles rolling around and just can't figure this thing out. Hello Everyone, I have searched and searched and have found no solution for this. Whenever I am on VATSIM using either FSINN or even VPILOT, the sounds of other aircraft are extremely loud. Does anybody know where this irritating sound file can be found and if it can be edited? I doubt its an FSINN or VPILOT file, but rather one from FSX? I guess I could turn down the "ENGINE" volume under FSX Sound Settings, but then I will also loose the engine sounds of my PMDG 737 and T7. Look at this video I made so that you can get an idea of what I mean...especially from 25 seconds onward. I always need to mute all sounds so I can actually hear what ATC has to say. On…

Hello everyone, I have just set up three monitors for fsx using nvidia surround. To get the full cockpit display, I run fsx in full screen mode. However, when I start fsinn, fsx jumps back to windowed mode. When I hit ALT ENTER to get back to full screen, all the screen stay black. I have never had a problem like this before as I always used windowed mode before. How do I get FSINN to work in full screen mode? Thanks in advance, 1251452

I know this isn't exactly VATSIM, but it is closely related. Vataware returned yesterday like it had said it would. Is this all that Vataware will offer now? I'm not exactly thrilled about this new Vataware, it only offers a live map and flights on the server. What happened to being able to look at pilot profiles to see how much time they have spent in certain aircraft and a log of all their flights? That is the feature I liked about the old Vataware the most; if I want to see flights that are happening on the server I'll just look at VatSpy. I've tried finding an alternative to Vataware but haven't found one, anyone else have any luck?

I really like the VPilot app for online flying, and it works great on the PC with P3D installed. However, I was wanting to migrate it to a laptop I have, but it won't connect through Simconnect. FSWidgets' EFB connects just fine, but VPilot won't. Any ideas as to why one works and the other doesn't?? Oh, and the AI Traffic.exe won't connect either. Hey guys Many times I have seen that people flying on vatsim gets full atc facility. However, when I connect to vatsim, I hardly get atc coverage at the departure airport. I want to experience full atc as well. I know that we get full atc in vatsim events.But not sure how to book a flight. And is their any fix time when we get full atc coverage? Also help on booking a flight in event will be appreciated. Thanks
