For about a month now I have been having terrible issues with vPilot (which used to be working fine). Basically, what happens are: 1. Constant disconnects from the Vatsim servers no matter which server I choose. The error message is: "Network error. The server has failed to respond to the authentication challenge. Disconnected from the network." (I have double checked my Vatsim status and my account is current). 2. Whenever I start vPilot (on the same computer as the sim itself) I get a stutter-fest and peppered with long and short pauses. I usually just fly two aircraft while online (FSL A320 and the PMDG T7). Hi, I am new to VASIM and I am reading up all info I can get to get a better understanding and a picture of what it is all about. I have loads of questions, but for now I need to know what do the table of figures mean and relate to in the AIRAC Cycle table? I do understand that AIRAC cycle is the aeronautical information needed to plan a flight, but entering the AIRAC cycle chart or list of figures, I find myself confused. I see only rows of numbers. I have all my AI AIrcraft installed in ...simobjects\AIPlanes ( to keep too many aircraft from my ..simobjects\Airplane folder ), and I have the following in my fsx.cfg [Main] User Objects=Airplane,GroundVehicles,Boats,AIPlanes SimObjectPaths.0=SimObjects\Airplanes SimObjectPaths.1=SimObjects\Rotorcraft SimObjectPaths.2=SimObjects\GroundVehicles SimObjectPaths.3=SimObjects\Boats SimObjectPaths.4=SimObjects\Animals SimObjectPaths.5=SimObjects\Misc SimObjectPaths.6=SimObjects\AIPlanes But vPilot doesn't see the AI planes. Studying the documentation for vPIlot I see mention of a SimObjects.cfg file. I don't have this file in my computer. What is this file and how do I download or create it in my computer ? vPilot seems to work OK without it. Dave Hinson

That's the problem. What's the answer ? Used to show appropriate model, but lately all aircraft in vPilot airport view show only KLM777 (my Default Model ). Thanks, Dave Hinson

I attempted to sign up to Vatsim recently, I entered all the correct details that were needed, I got an e-mail to verify my e-mail address, upon clicking the link, a new webpage opens with a message saying "ID VERIFICATION FAILURE" I did file a support ticket, was meant to of received a support ticket number but wasn't given one, so I'm unable to track what is happening, has anyone else had this issue before? Wondering if theres anything else I can do to get this issue sorted. Was looking forward to joining the community.

I got X-Plane 11 about a month ago, deciding to give XP a shot instead of P3D v4. In that time i have flown more than i ever did in FSX or P3D, mainly because i am just not constantly messing with my settings. I joined FSEconomy also, and have done 4-5 flights in the past two days. My experience level is still pretty limited. I have figured out the 530 and can use GPS to fly flight plans, and i use sites like SkyVector to make flight plans. I can takeoff, and i am getting much better at landing smoothly. I only fly the Pilatus PC-12 and really like it. As far as add-ons go, i also use the Ortho4xp stuff and have most of the US loaded. Brilliant. I also have x-camera …

Hello, can some one help please, I have had this problem before, and had advise how to sove the problem, but don't remember how it was done, so once more please. Hello, Everything has been going well all week until yesterday when I wasn't able to transmit messages on vpilot. I was able to receive messages but the controllers weren't able to see my messages that I sent until I restarted vpilot a few times and all seemed well. Today, however, I was flying along fine but then I noticed I wasn't able to see the controllers in the list of controllers in range, but I was very close to entering their airspace. I could send and receive direct messages from controllers but I was unable to see any messages from them 'on frequency' and they were unable to see messages from me. I have been using P3Dv4 for about 5 months now and am still unable to see Vatsim traffic other than the default 'Regional Jet' as set in Vpilot. I do have a properly installed MT6 which works like a charm but for the life of me l cannot 'model match' the MT6 aircraft to Vpilot. I have researched the various forums including the MT6 but the results are mixed and varied and to be honest, l haven't a clue which way to go. So, a couple of questions: 1. Can l model match MT6 aircraft and, if so, how is it done (NB MT6 is on a different drive to P3D)? 2. My Push to Talk on my sim Yoke won't assign in XSquawbox in X-plane 11 nor in Squawkbox in FSX/P3d. I simply returns a 0 number and leaves a permanently open mic. Any thought on how I can fix this? The key assignment works fine in either version. Thanks in advance for any help. Funflyed

Hi all! I am having a really strange issue with vPilot since last week, after trying to install the vPilot AI. What happens is that, everytime I lauch vPilot, my ground textures become black. I tried on several parts of the world. Please see the pictures below. These are the things I have tried so far - Reinstall vPilot, deleting every trace I found about the software. - Reinstall previous versions of vPilot (2.10, 2.09), although I have been using 2.11 with out issues. - Be sure to be using the default model matching. I was just flying out of a moderately busy European airport (would rather not say which as it may identify the other people involved, which is not my goal) during a non-peak time. I have about 30 flights on VATSIM now so I am still getting the hang of it, although I am a commercial pilot in real life so I'm by no means a rookie at ATC communications. So I load up my flight at a gate, there's a few planes at the airport but not too many, and there is no controller online. Hi all, just thought I'd share my first contact with ATC on Vatsim earlier today. I had joined a VA that requires all flights to be flown on Vatsim after your initial phase-in. So for the past week or so, I did exclusively VFR flights in non-controlled areas and getting my first taste of Unicom communications. Hi, I fly FSX with full stack ORBX, PMDG, AS2016, Drzewiecki Design, some freeware airports. Never had any trouble. But when I started using VATSIM, I also started to have out of memory crashes for the first time (now I understand what everyone was talking about). Decision was made to move away from FSX for good. Since switching from FSX to Prepar3D is very expensive due to PMDG pricing policy (no transition discount) not to mention that's legally impossible (Funny, is it not? Why do I even care?) due to P3D licensing model, it will be way cheaper and legal :-) to switch to X-Plane. Few questions: 1. Everyone flying FSX and P3D are using payware or…

Hello all, I have been meaning to try vatsim for what seems to be ages and am pretty much ready to finally give it a whirl. I thought I might try flying around areas that are not ATC-controlled to hopefully hear what goes on. But a few questions have popped up. If I check out uncontrolled areas on vattastic, (example, NE USA & Canada), do I have to make any contact of any kind or can I just fly VRF and have a good listen to ATC? And how can I assure I don't get in anyone's way? Perhaps it's just the insecurity of being new to vatsim but if anyone can give me a few bits of advice.

Hello, I'm not new to VATSIM, but through time couple of experiences bring me down to thinking of how should I optimize my flight-preparation. I usually check charts/weather for dep/arr, route, waypoints, procedures in emergency... but, I somehow don't have the capacity to memorize everything. Not sure if I'm the only one. (take for instance Frankfurt with 128 Charts in SimplatesX). So what I will do is check some specific charts... check the local ATIS, see what dep rwy is, then study dep-routes a little, and then basically get a little surprised by ATC when I am given another departure than maybe one I expected. After filing my VATSIM flight plan it does not show any details on VROUTE after I connect through XSquawbox (I fly the X-Plane x737). VROUTE only shows that I am online flying from e.g. KSFO to KSEA and the altitude - but no other details. As a result, the controllers can not communicate with me. Looking for a solution to this problem.

Hi guys :-) So I have been sitting up for literally 6 hours trying to figure this thing out... I have been able to get P3D v4 now and have bought some nice addons like AS16 etc etc. But I can't seem to understand how I get the model matching to work in vPilot so I can see other pilots with their liveries and a/c types....I tried with the VMRgenerator but I could not get that to work... Does anyone know a simple and quick way to get a good model pack and how I get it to work so that it automatically knows which livery to display according to their callsign/type? In this case, I want to ask how to plan the route prior to entering the NAT, leaving from U.S. I know FAA publishes NAT advisory message every day via FAA ATC Centre Advisory Database. Which provides the information regarding the specified transition procedure from the airports to the NAT entry points. However, this information is only for east coast airports.
