I am sorry to keep harping on this switch over 767 PIC for FS2003 but before I give up on it completely, I will try one more time with your help. Please let me explain my problem. I purchased the original 767 PIC CD, installed it, and applied the correct patch for it to work with FS2002 (with your help and several other posts on the topic). Now when I choose one of the 767 PIC liveries in FS2002, and the program starts to load, I get several screens with the error message, "Scenerary object not found...." and the address of the various "missing" scenery objects. I uninstalled 767 PIC, used the cleaner to make sure everything is gone, and reinstalled using the same proced…

I departed CYVR on runway heading, using heading select mode. My route was shown to the right of my present track. I passed the first two waypoints on this heading, before giving myself a realistic intercept heading which steered my directly towards my third leg and switched to LNAV. However, the FMC gave me a message stating that the heading was not acceptable (or some similar wording). I don't understand why it did not want to intercept the route. Was I supposed to cancel the first two waypoints?

Hey Guys,Had a blast flying with you crazy Canadians to Detroit last night. That landing was wild...can't believe I pulled it off in a non-PIC equipped aircraft! :-lol (well, I did have a psuedo-PAR approach controller...hehe)Hope Mike gets his problems worked out...it was a bummer to see his target in front of me one minute (on the way to KSTL), then have it disappear. :( You missed a fun flight Mike (Like I'm telling you something you didn't know). Two things...First, screenshots of last night's flight:http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID47/17487.htmlSecond...I painted up that IK DC9 template with my ACA textures, should be in the library soon (depending on when you…

Hi all, this is a question aimed at the programming brains, apologies if its been asked before. My thought is that now we have this great 757 (thanks Iz) would it be possible to tweak the code in the PIC fmc so it works with 757 figures. While I'm not suggesting that the code should be released for all and sundry to hack away at perhaps a member of the PIC team could consider modifying the code and releasing the new FMC as a stand alone download or something, I for one would happily pay for it.CheersPaul

Unscientific Poll Regarding the SID/STAR/Approaches Database that you are using for PIC.Use The REPLY with Quote function to the original message onlyQ1. Do You use the SID/STAR Database from the NAVDATA Website?Q2. Do You Make Your Own Procedures using Charts?Q3. Do You Keep all Your procedures in the FMCWP folder in FS?Q4. Only answer if NO to question 3 Do you store them in a seperate folder or on a CD?Q5. Only answer if NO to question 3 Do you use the SSCopier?Q6. Only answer if YES to question 3 Do you suffer from performance problems with 767 PIC?Q7. Do you have Paper Charts?Q8. Would you like Runway Specific SIDs in the FMC?That Concludes the Poll.

Small Tutorial in getting the FMC to display runway specific SIDS.Good for airports such as Heathrow that have numerous SIDS and Runways. Filters out all the others and only displays the SIDs for that Runway. You may need Charts to do this!Step1. Identify the SID you want to make runway specific. For EGPF my local airport, there are two NGY SIDS. One for runway 23 and the other for runway 05.I want the NGY1J to show for runway 05 and the NGY1H to show for runway 23.Let's use Runway 05.(NGY1J)Write down the name of the SID as displayed in the FMC. You will need this later. Step2. Start Programming a Route.Dep EGPF - Arr EGPFStep3. Now to make the SID runway specific.Go to th…

With the FMC programmed with route, star, and approach, I notice it is unable to slow down to the required 250KTS at 10,000 feet on descent. Am I supposed to intervene and provide a little speed brake to help out?Another question: when using VNAV and LNAV, does the autothrottle switch need to be on, or can the FMC access the throttles by itself?Yet another question: do I need to hit the "approach" button in order to fly the ILS, or can the FMC fly it by itself (if the ILS approach is programmed at the end of the route)? Thanks in advance.

I have noticed that the view from the cockpit is off, its puts you behind the nose wheel, and when you go to set behind the wing in the VC it places the cockpit view way back there in the back. anyone have any new numbers for the views? i thought i saw a post similar earlier but can not find it.Happy FlyingAnthony Hurst

I just build myself a beautiful system that gives terrific framerates in FS2002. (At maximum quality graphics, it locks in at 30 fps). However, the framerates reduce considerably anytime I try to view the 767 from the tower view. I am using the original 767 PIC. Are there any paint jobs out there that are less demanding, and if so, is it difficult to install? Thanks.

I've got a frame rate problem which, strangely, only appears to affect the PIC. It's a problem which has taken over since i formatted my C drive, (but not my E drive where FSim runs). Everything runs fine from t/o etc - frame rate of about 15 - quite happy. After about 30 minutes it gets slower and slower to about 3 or 4. Of course, this is too slow and I've had it running much better before. The graphics also get very blurred and fuzzy. Sounds like a memory problem to me. If I restart the computer, it improves again. What's happening here? Any ideas? I know I've got the video card installed, and other aircraft work fine (including the new Mach 2 concorde, whic…

Hey guys...I just have a quick question regarding the FMC database. Now, I have had this problem for a while and I know what might be the problem...and quite frankly I'm embarassed to say this. I think my problem would be that I have not been downloading the AIRAC files. But I need a second opinion on this. My problem is on few occassion, when I type in a NAV aid on the FMC, I get the message NOT IN DATABASE, I dont know if anyone has encountered this problem. If it so happens to be related to the abovementioned file, damn me. I hope someone out there has an idea what the problem might be.thanks

Hi guys,Had the pleasure of jumpseating back to Bergamo from Bahrain the other day on the 757PF. As you might expect we were rather heavy departing, around 109 tons if memory serves me right, and were stuck at FL310 for the first couple of hours flying up over Saudi. To make matters worse there was this rather nasty 140KT headwind which reduced our GS to a meager 360-370KTS. Sheer boredom in other words. We could have gone higher, but the wind was even stronger at FL330 and above. I got handed some WX charts and the performance manual to see if it would make sense to descent to FL230 where the wind was at around 50KTS. It was the classic time vs fuel problem, and in the e…

Hi,My newly merged PIC-POSKY sinks its wheels of the main gear (not the nose wheel) a little bit too deep in the ground.Could someone pls. advice me what to edit in the aircraft.cfg to cure it?(I asked this question in the POSKY forum, but my question got removed. After I inquired, I was told that they do not support Lee's PIC-POSKY merge :-badteeth ).

This is slightly off topic but please allow me a little latitude here. I want to build a new computer that will make PIC really rock on FS2002 as well as the new FS coming out this summer. This is my first time doing this so I am really weak on what I should be getting. I am ready to order the parts now.As I look through the vast number of websites listing equipment, I am left scratching my head as to what I really should be ordering. As most of you know, there are a lot of towers, power supplies, mother boards, CPUs, memory types, video cards, and hard drives out there and I have no idea what works best with what. If anyone has any ideas on what combinations tend to…

Hi guysI was catching up on the FMC operations yesterday and was fiddeling a little trying to make some acurate SIDs and STARs for ESSA when I noticed that the FMC (at least the 737NG one) can distinguish two different waypoints. Fly-by and fly-over. Does the same apply to the 767 FMC?I know the default pilot entered waypoints are always fly-by. But a lot of waypoints in departure and arrival procedures are fly-over. But can you tell the PIC FMC that a certain waypoint is fly-over?Thanks

hi all I am using the pic panel/fms with Iz's 757 and whenever i click on the DEP/ARR button fs2002 locks up and crashes and I get a message stating that there is a problem with 767fmc.gau anyone out there can help me. also the plane is behaving very sluggishly but this might be due to the fact i was at close to max TO weight from an airport that is high in ther mountains (ZULS)innChina but the plane used almost th whole 13000 ft RW to get off and could not climb at a rate of more than 1500 fpm-is this realistic ?

Will the group that developed 767 PIC ever develop something again. I just cant believe that aircraft panel that has been this good through 2 versions of MSFS will not have a sequel. I'll tell you I wouldnt even mind seeing this panel redone with all the bells and whistles that the current version has to offer. Thanks foe hearing me out hope to see more from you guysAndrew

Hi all, this is the first time I post here because since yesterday I have been experiencing a strange problem when using the FMC to choose rwy and SID/STARS for various airports. What happens is that everything slows down to like 1 fps, but if I look around using the other views the fps are normal, when I go back to cockpit view it's all slowed down. It never happened before. I updated my AIRAC database to the recent 0302 form navdata.at and this has started to happen. It happened at LIRF, LIMC, LFPG and other airports. Just as soon as I select the dep/arr page in the FMC. Anyone experiencing this also, it's real strange! Thanks.Regards,Bjorn GhezziBAW316
