I recently installed CH USB pedals and I notice that on the 767 only, both the yoke and pedals steer the aircraft while on the ground. On the default planes and other purchased planes I have, only the pedals control the rudder which is how it should be. Is there some setting I need to adjust on the 767 to "disable" the yoke while taxing? I'm really new at "simming" so any help you can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Iz,757 aircraft cfg. file q for you. Will adjusting the Empty Weight, and the station load seriously affect the handling qualities?I want to alter them to more accurately reflect the 757's that I do loadsheets for -DOW approx 60500 KgsZFW approx 81000 Kgs2nd Q.from the loadsheets and flight times, I reckon that 4000kgs per hour is a good rule of thumb for average fuel burn - any comment.Mark

HiOk, the PIC FMC is able to predict some speeds for the 757 given that the ZFWs of 130t and 115t are used for takeoff and landing. However, that data isn't always right, and I think the best way would be to use the 757 performance booklets, that give you speeds for different weights. My question is:If the aircraft.cfg states EMPTY_WEIGHT=127800 and STATION LOAD=31200,is the aircraft now weighing a total of 159200 kgs (ie. the sum of them) ??To get the proper GW for the speed booklet, I am supposed to add the FUEL LOAD, for example 10t (metric) TO the 159200 kgs = 169.2 t (metric), right ?To make it more simple, is the ZFW of the aircraft EMPTY WEIGHT + STATION LOAD in KGS…

I know Wade mentioned that the PIC Team had something in the works back in August of 2002... It's been a few years since the release of the beloved 767, and I'm dying to know if there will ever be anything released in the future from the PIC Team. I wish they could give us something, no matter how small... I also remember Wade telling us he was flying a new plane that he(and I'm assuming the PIC Team worked on) about 1 year ago now. (boy how time flys --No pun intended :-) Well, FS2002 came and went without any new PIC planes. I hope that isn't the case with FS2004 which will be introduced in the summer. Anyway, would love and appreciate an update from the PIC Team.T…

Autothrottle doest not respond under any circumstances. N1, Speed intervention, speed hold, etc. are all non-functional. I have done a recent uninstall and reinstall to troubleshoot non-related problems. Now my AT doesn't want to work. I have tried re-installing sevral times with all patches and all modifications updated with all posky merges. It just will not work. Even with a Wilco Aircraft, there is no response. I have tried everthing it seems and now my anger boils. If anyone has ever experienced this, please share.I am using the original posky 763 model which worked fine before.FS2002, Dimension P4 2.0ghz, 512mb,geeforce4,DX9

Hello,After flying the new iFDG 757 version 2 (which is such a perfect visual model by the way, sheesh), I'm not able to accomplish decents at idle power as seems to have been mentioned by the flight dynamics' file author. For example, decending from 35,000ft at a cruising speed of M .80, I dial in 10,000ft in the MCP window and select FL CHANGE with a decent profile speed initially selected at M .78 I expected the autothrottles to retard to flight idle and decend at .78M until reaching 295 IAS with a 'comfortable' decent rate of 1200-2000 fpm. I found however that the aircraft had to dive at around 6000fpm and add copious amounts of power to maintain .78M initiall…

I'm starting to use the Zero Fuelweight Changer by Ben Alexander Brown http://www.speedbirdonline.co.uk/767.html (thanks Workingstiff for the link). In another document (PIC_ZFW.PDF) on that same web page it is said that PIC will behave rather strangely if the ZFW is not set between 195000 and 260000.The Zero Fuelweight Changer program does not abide by these limits. What are your experiences about the envelope that the ZFW can be changed in PIC ???

In a recent post, someone mentioned that there was a "re-touched" overhead panel for the PIC 767. Does anyone know what this is and where can you find it. I searched AVSIM and found nothing.ThanksBob Johnson

Hello!I have a question about Transavia operating procedures. I once flew with a HV 757, and I was invited into the cockpit. When I looked up to the MCP i saw an altitute of 33500 (!) (or it was 31500, I don't know anymore). When I asked about it they said they were closer tot their optimal altitude, and because nobody flew at that level, the risk of in-flight collision was smallerMy question is: is that a standard Transavia procedure, or not? And if it is, don't you get any trouble with ATC?Also, how did you get in the right seat? (KLS, NLS or something else)I myself am going to start at the KLS, next year :). (when my medical turns out fine)cheers,:-beerchugDiederik Kra…

Hi Guys,I seem to get the question "Why does the 37,000 lb (eg. PW4037)engine version perform so much worse than the 40,000 lb (eg. RR 535E4) version?" a lot.A mistake that's quickly made is to think that the PW4037 has roughly 8% less thrust so it should climb about 8% slower. This is not the case.If it were the case, it would mean that an aircraft would climb at 100% with 40,000 lb thrust and an aircraft with ZERO lb thrust would fly straight and level (0% climb). Imagine a 757 without engines flying 310 knots at FL330 for an extended period. :) Basic aerodynamics. Any situation where there is no acceleration in any direction, requires an equilibrium of forces in every…

Hello, I recently flew KEWR-LFPG with the COA 762 from Posky. and obviously the PIC panel. I used the 762 PIC/POSKY converter thing. When I was starting my NAT crossing, my computer froze, so I restarted and continued, but my joystick had no imput and the plane continued to dive and I checked everything. So I restarted once again. Then on landing, I increased my RoD-rate of Decent- by about 200fpm and instead of having 600fpm I had 4000! the plane decided to nose dive, could this be because of a Nose heavy situation? If so, can someone help or can tell me how I can fix this problem. thank you."... AND I'M PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!"[b/]

Because of the impending "State of the Union Address" I thought it might be fitting if Lee would be so kind as to give us a "State of The TCAS address.. So how about it Lee any word on the impending doom to VATSIM when us PIC'ers show up with TCAS on board...What's next from you nuts, WX radar, naw say it ain't soDon Harrison

To use the IFDG 757 with the PIC panel do the following:1. Copy the PIC Panel and Sound Cfg files to the IFDG Panel and Sound Folders.2. From the PIC Aircraft Cfg copy the PIC electrical section.Paste this into the IFDG Aircraft cfg, replacing the current electrical section.3. IZ mentioned in one of his earlier posts this.ZFW = 130 Metric Tonnes. This should give accurate Take Off FMC speeds.LAW = 115 Tonnes. This should give accurate Landing FMC speeds. And yes, the 757 handles flawlessley with PIC. It takes off like a rocket, with 10T of fuel on board, nearly reached 6000fpm on climb out on the VSI.MarkBtw, anyone know how to change the view, so that I don't see the engi…

For those of you that are not *sure* on how to do this correctly, here you go; 1] Download your new IFDG 757v2 off Avsim's Library 2] Open the 757 Panel folder, you will see the panel cfg, open it also and DELETE what's in there and place this; {FLTSIM}alias=767 PIC Wilco Publishingpanel 3] Now do the same for the 757 sound folder's cfg file and place this; {FLTSIM}alias=767 PIC Wilco PublishingsoundMake sure to set the correct {brackets} around the words {FLTSIM} and {electrical} because I cannot post them here correctly, see attached jpeg pic! Last item to change is the 757 aircraft cfg file. Open it and scroll down till you see this; {electrical} ;BusT…

These questions are for the developers & programmers of PIC 767, or those "in the know".How close did you model the GPWS modes? Does PIC model the sub-modes accurately, such as mode 2A and mode 2B, or mode 4A, mode 4B, and mode 4C? Or, are you using generic programming approximates the modes?Any modes that you didn't model? Finally, is mode 7, Windshear, modeled?I take it you're modeling the Honeywell Mk VI GPWS? You wouldn't happen to know what software/application s/n you used? Thanks guys. This is for a GPWS awareness demonstration I'm working on. I think it says volumes for what PIC is capable of!Rich BollWichita, KS

Hi!I encountered a weird problem today. When I try to enter an arrival route in the FMC for a route where the STAR begins from a WPT where the ROUTE ends, the FMC won't accept the LSK and then FS2002 crashes. Ie. I'm able to SELECT every other STAR other than the one that BEGINS where the ROUTE ends. When I try to SELECT the one that JOINS the route perfectly to a STAR (for the correct RWY), it just crashes. This happens everytime, and I've tried it today many times. However, if I select a STAR that begins somewhat AFTER the LAST WPT on the route, the FMC accepts it, and once the RTE DISCONTINUITY is cleared everything's OK, and I'm able to fly the STAR smoothly. I wonder wh…

Hi guys,I am not very good at this so i came to ask you.I couldnt make the pic 767 work good with the 757-200 , in order to install it correctly i followed the "quick guide for the 757-200 and pic 767 merge" or something like that thread that was posted here.I think i got confused with the fuel numbers.can someone please tell me what should i modify there ?Thanks in advance,Ben.

Is it normal during a derated takeoff for the N1 speed to go up to a "normal" takeoff setting and then drop back to the derated setting? I use N1 mode and the TO/GA preset on takeoff. Is this the right way to do a derated TO? Seems strange.

I just recently tried to fly the Kennedy 9 Departure procedure via runway 31L and the Breezy Climb. It calls for a left turn direct CRI east of CRI-039 and then outbound on CRI-223. I was just wondering how a real 767 pilot would handle this and maybe I could get some tips on how to do it. Do I forget about the autopilot and the FMC and just fly it completely by hand?I set my Nav 1 to CRI, and I used my RMI to indicate which way to turn to go directly to the VOR. After takeoff, I immediately turn left, which already contradicts the FD bars. Not a big deal. After reaching CRI, what do I do? There is no VOR/LOC function, just LOC.I have to autopilot off. Turning it …

Dear forum,I have just purchased the 767 PIC from my source PC Aviator in Australia. I look forward to playing it as much as buying it. At least now I can model the aircraft in my region (Australasia) as it is very difficult to find decent aircraft that are from the Australia/New Zealand region which are the correct model type (e.g. DF737 which is 737-400 rather than ANZ 737-300).I have one question though? There has been much problem about merging the awesome and realistic PIC panel with the POSKY (well not really a problem). Apparently the N1 carrots on the CF6 model do not match the actual set thrust and the flap gauge does not work. I would like very much to know abou…
