hello everybody,I'm new to this forum and the pic, and i wonder how descendig is done in the real world. If you are at FL330 and you see in your vnav legs in the FMC that the next WP should be in FL240. now, if i'm on VNAV and you "forget" to put the new alt at the AFDS, the plane will stay on HOLD mode and will not follow the VNAV. So how should it be done? you should follow manualy and change the AFDS ALT all the way, or you can just put the AFDS ALT after you reached TC to minima and expect the VNAV to do the job as you just follow everything?many thanks in advance as i really enjoy the PIC and this FORUM.uri:-wave

I haven't been flying the 767PIC very long, but it seems that most of you know alot about the aircraft that probaly came from experiance so I was wondering if I could get a little advice. I'm having trouble trying to find out what the approach and landing speed are for the 767PIC, and also at what points to extend flaps. Thanks for the help.

HelloI am having a small PIC - related problem.Due to the instability of my system I use FSAssist to "Autosave" flights so I can resume them after a crash. My problem is that the panel state is not saved along with the rest of it, although normal fs "save flight" command saves everything.I have also tried P. Dowson's autosave.dll but got the same result.I remember that I didn't have this in FS2000.Any help will be greatly appreciated.Kind regardsSpiros HazapisAthens, Greece

There's a interesting 757 panel which makes some BIG claims in Today's uploads that I thought some might want to "test". Sorry to keep bugging, but, if you could not tell, I'm new to PIC!Question, this time, is... Has someone ever put together a database for PIC proceedures (DP, STAR, APP) for various airports and published them for download?I am making a few proceedures for an airport that I did not find premade proceedures for on flightsim.com. If someone has already gone through all the work to compile such a database, I certainly don't want to duplicate efforts.Thnx in advance,Larry WilliamsUPSVAC - UPS714 - KONT Hub

I have a couple of uploads to make this month... this is the first! It's "Pratt & Whitney SoundEdit for Wilco's 767 Pilot in Command" Version 1.1, and it will be available in the library tomorrow! Here is the description:After much experimentation, I've combined my experience from being a passenger in the first-class cabin of a B767-322, and from watching several flight-deck videos, to come up with a great impression of the P&W engines on the Boeing 767-300ER. Very special thanks to Ryuji Ozawa and Daniel Careri! Version 1.1 includes better balance of the engine sounds and wind, as well as improved flap and gear wind effects! IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU READ THE INST…

Hello All,I have been searching for a PIC editor other than the Free PIC Editor.Does such an animal exist? Haven't been able to find one. I noticed that almost all of the DP's, STARs and Approaches that I have d/l'd were created with something called "WCPSFMC". Is this an editor and if so, is it available?Thnx to all who respond!

Hey Guys,Didn't get to join in on all the fun down under, but was able to manage a quick flight from Brisbane to Sydney to join the guys for a while anyway. Here are some quick pics. (Sorry for the poor quality...jpeg compression you know.) :(Servinfo shot....We kept those Aussie controllers busy! :)http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e321bfd3a4d71c1.jpgThere I am on final for 07 (dal1068). Murf was behind me and Rob & Gregg are coming around the corner! Of course Mike B. is already on the ground cracking open the 1st Foster's before we all get there! :-lol Sorry if I didn't get everyone in the pic, it was a huge screen!http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3…

Hi folks,Does anyone have the same problem as me where 767PIC in Mach hold during climb or descent (FLCH, pitch controls Mach number), the flight director pitch bar goes all over the place? This happens during non-accelerated sim time. The FD pitch bar swings +/- 10 degrees in pitch and luckily the AP pitch channel responds slowly so the aircraft doesn't make such horrendous pitch moments (although it gets dramatically worse in 2X and 4X accelerated sim time). It handles fine in IAS hold during climb and descent, just Mach, since the IAS for a given Mach number changes with altitude and the FD pitch channel just overcorrects dramatically.Any responses (Wade? Laurent?) welco…

Hi all,:-zhelpSome help please, for some reason when I use the PIC 767 and start push back the left autopilot command malfaunctions and I lose the "L" IRS position. I get an FMC message "set IRS position".Opening the overhead panel and using the "button" I can align the "L" IRS again, but as soon as I start push back again it happens again.Until this happened last night I have been using the 767 with no problems. I have checked all PIC repairs/faults found nothing. Thanks,Steve

I'm exhausted.I woke up at 1300Z (7 AM here) and started working HNL center - still half asleep unable to speak. Recognized many people there, had ACA332 take the 4R visual into Honolulu and launched about 5 guys for R465 and R463.Getting the sequencing down for the Oceanic guy was pretty tough - we need 15 minutes between same altitude flights. That's why I kept asking people for updates, as every time I thought I had it set right, someone else would "wake up" and pop onto my radar. I gave COA1014 about 5 altitude & speed changes, and asked him for an update on his CLUTS ETA every 5 minutes . All I can remember is seeing CVA303, ACA856, and AAL327 - the rest was a bl…

The yaw damper eliminates "Dutch roll," an unpleasant "fishtailing" or rolling and yawing movement that can occur at high altitude, particularly in swept-wing jets. The yaw damper should be off duringtakeoff and during final approach and landing.Jose Rafael NavarroYV

G'day GuysIs it just me or is there an enormous hole in the latest NAVDATA download for the All in One package in the Stars department. There are NO airports with an ICAO code between L and Y.This means most of Asia Australia etc have NO stars at all.As the number of airports is pretty huge it is a royal pain to download them individually.Has the download been like this for long or is it only a problem with this cycle.Have funDarren Howie
