my 767 seems to have a problem, I can't make her climb over FL260. She always stall at that altitute. oh I'm using the V/S mode with +1500 feet climb rate, althought reduce to +500 feet won't solve the problem. What did I do wrong?

In a similar vein to Navajo's message re the GPWS callouts, but worthy of thread in its own right I think, does anyone know how I can reduce the volume of the GPWS callouts? I've played with all the sliders in Options > Settings > Sound to no avail. It's as though the sound level is hard coded though I'm guessing there maybe an ini file somewhere where a value could be adjusted. Right now I have the overall sound levels right where I want them. The only workaround I can think of is to raise all the sliders in the options box then reduce overall volume on the speakers.Anyone know better?

Evening all!I have recently been using ACLOADER with 767PIC, as it simulates different COG's and station loads. However on some occasions, whilst rotating at VR I get a tail strike for about 2 seconds. This only started to happen since I started using ACLOADER...anyone else getting these problems? Thanks in advance.

Hi: Just got 767PIC. I have configured it to fly a POSKY 300ER. Is this acceptable, or do you have to get a plain 300? I am wondering, because the ER carries a lot more fuel, and I don't know if the panel is set up to operate with the ER. Thanks.

My 'Just Planes' DVD's arrived today. I ordered the UAL 777 and the Air Do 767. Both great DVD's. Funny thing though, there was a Capt. on a Air Do flight that wore gloves when T/O and when landing.I do have a question too. I noticed in the cockpit of the 767 that the standy-by altimeter was off by a few hundred feet. It was obviously not set to 2992. I saw this on at least two of the four flights the DVD showed. Is it not neccessary to set the stand-by alt.?Thanks in advance.-=MB=-

I run 767pic on fs2000 and sometimes I am told to hold over a way point that is not in the fmc, will these airac uploades fix this problem ? Incidently has anyone bought A320 pic yet ?? Is it as good as the 767

Was anyone else, besides myself, watching the Travel Channel tonight? The show was called "Secrets". It was about airline disasters. A sort of indepth look. From PSA180 in San Diego, the two 747's colliding on the runway, etc...Anyway, during their program they used animations depicting AC in the various crashes they were talking about. Also, they used real AC sounds when depicting AC cockpit equipment. I couldn't help but notice that several of these animations and sounds were wrong. Two examples: TCAS resolution alerts, they used the "Whoop, Whoop, PULL UP!!" of the GPWS as the example. On a DC-9 crash, they showed a 727.Just curious if anyone else noticed.

Hi!I know this is NOT a PIC-related question, but since the wisest people usually are found here, I'm gonna ask anyway.I installed the MS DirectX 9.0, and can no longer find ATC in VATSIM (SB), nor can the ATC see me.This is most probably a DX9 issue. Has anyone else encountered such problems, and if so, how have you rectified the problems ?I guess there is no way of going back to DX8 ?With much thanksTero

Hi All... Thought I would share this in the hopes that someone knows how to contact Laurent Crenier of the Wilco 767 PIC team. This is a reply to a message posted to Andrew McLean in the Aerosoft Australia Website forum (www.mcp747.com) concerning the new EFIS/EICAS hardware they are soon to release...Original Post:"Well this is a real kick in the pants..."Laurent Crenier who wrote the interface for us with the PIC767 says he doesn't have any more time to make updates to PIC767 so I'm afraid that the EFIS/EICAS combination wont' work. There's also no 'hooks' in the DLL which means I can't even 'hack' into it myself. The PIC767 will be as good as we get.Cheers,Andrew McLean…

could appreciate somebody's help with my scrambled atc in fs2002!I have installed the 767 pic panel in the 737-600 download from sas va, included the recent patch for fs2002.Works great! Problem is that the fs2002 atc comes out scrambled, you know 3 or 4 words ok and than it stops talking, though the system continues.Tried the original 767 pic aircraft and the atc works ok, so I have my doubts if the combination 767 panel with the 737-600.Did anyone encountered the same proble and if so, did you find any solutions? Thanks for the help,Denis JanssenThe Netherlands

Hi Everyone,I'm currious to know if anyone else has this issue or has a fix? I had to reinstall PIC recently and now my EICAS screen(seatbelt, warnings etc.)is blurry. I can make them out, but they are not as crisp as they used to be. In addition, on the map display, it is tough to see the waypoints. Everything else is crystal clear though! Is this normal?I'm using the same ATI Radeon 8500 I've had for a year now and I've got the display graphics to 1024/768 16 colors on the monitor and in FS2K2. Does anyone know or have any suggestions. Thanks very much!Brian

Hello to all, I am a bit lost on this topic. I know the FMC that PIC has (I assume its Americans model) calculates V1, Vr, V2, and Vref speeds automatically. Does this FMC calculate speed based only on weight? Which would give inaccurate speeds if you land or take-off at a high altitude airport like Denver, because the speeds will vary with altitude and temperature (correct me if I am wrong). Or does the FMC know the pressure altitude of the airport that you put in the route page? Also I can understand for take-off if the FMC takes the current outside temperature for Vspeed calculation, but how can the FMC take into account the temperature of the destination airport for s…

Hi all,According to the main AvSim Forum page this Forum is moderated by Laurent and Wade. As we see these gents so infrequently it strikes me that the Forum is in fact not being moderated. So who is keeping an eye on things or are we so well behaved no-one needs to watch over us? ;-)Regards,

I have started to fly the 757-236SF with 767PIC for my cargo flying, and wondered what the best AIR file out there is to use with 767PIC panel? I have tried MT's 757 air file, but I find that there is slightly too much thrust/lift. I seem to get about 5000fpm on every takeoff and shoot passed V2+25 regardless of the attitude I take.Any recommendations much appreciated. Thanks

Hi everyone,I tried this thread over in the MSFS general forum, but I think I'll prefer the answers I get here....I've been a PIC junkie since the very beginning, and until the team revolutionizes panel design again, I'd like to try my hand at some old-school flying. In short, I only have the money (yay for having a part-time job in college!) to buy one of the following: CS 727, VMAX 742, IK DC-9, or (if I can wait, which given my attention span is unlikely ;-) )And here's the deal: I only care about the panel. Of course, I am aware of how they differ in terms of support, manuals, vis. model, etc., but right now I just want to know which panel would be more hard-core…

Season greetings from Israel!Just finished the new public beta of Mr. Wagner Beskow's 767 Dispatcher. New version includes Map display, Flight plan page, Basic ETP calculation, FIX and NAV Aids database and many other features. It was a tough work, though quite enjoyable. However, I guess it is not perfect, so I would appreciate your comments before final release. My sincere thanks to all who helped, and special thanks goes to Wagner for his permission to get involved in his project.Oh, the link :-) :http://www.geocities.com/dispatcher3b6/index.htmedit: some bandwidth limits there so you may try:http://grm.m.walla.co.il/briefcase/0004/7/...patcher_3b8.zipor ask here and i'…

I have the latest updates for the FMC. But I've noticed if I select ILS 27R at KORD it doesn't show the ILS freq. nor bearing on the init ref page. It will not activate it when in auto for nav 1. The other ILS's work. Is anyone else missing this ILS or others. I show it in the wpNAVaid.txt file & the wpNAVapt.txt file. Any help would be appreciated.John

I have noticed that the frequency 117.9 which is a real world valid freq will not be accepted in the PIC radios either from a manual input or from the FMC. Is there a way to solve this minor problem. It is a problem for me since I fly out of KDEN and the DEN VOR is 117.9. Other VOR's around the world that have this same freq won't tune either. Thanks for any helpBob Johnson

Hi I know after an engine failure on take-off you should be at V2-V2+15. I wanted to find out what is the minimum speed you can fly with full rudder and full power applied on take-off before you lose rudder control? The minimum I can fly is 140knots with full power and rudder before I loose the rudder is this right? Or I should be able to hold direction at slower speed with full power and rudder. Also what is the minimum speed you can hold direction on the real 767? Thank You :-)
