Naturally, I am using the rudder to control the nose wheel but I have devised a way to make a replica of the actual steering mechanism found in a real cockpit for my 767-400 simulator project. For a long time now, I have never been able to control the aircraft on the runway or during taxi. the sterring is very hard to control. Either it goes wide right or left at the slightest touch, and never centers. I have two questions.1. Is ther a way to adjust the sensitivity and reaction time in the configurations besides the obvious which I have tried.2. Is there a way to distinguish and split-assign the rudder (which is only used in the air) and the nose steering (wich is only us…

After many hours of hard work the view is now ready. There are a couple of things that must be addressed. I had to modify the aircraft cfg to disable "gear failure". This is a trade off that I am willing to have seeing that I never use that particular failure. You will get the warning, just that the gear will not get stuck. It has been reported that if you switch to the landing view BEFORE the IRS completes the alignment it will cause the IRS to fail. I am still working on this. You must re-merge all your posky aircraft so that it matches the new aircraft cfg. You can change your Posky aircraft cfg manually, there is just ONE number to change and I have a detailed readme…

Friends, Fellow PIC addicts, today I consider myself a very lucky man. I awoke this morning from a dream in which I was flying the heavy metal for real. Today I was to fly from DTW to TPA for my annual Christmas vacation at Grandma's house. To my delight, NWA492 was a 757, my favorite type and "The Ferrari of airplanes" according to a 5 captain I talked to awhile back. I got to the airport way too early as usual and just strolled around admiring the big jets and taking pictures. We were late boarding because one of the F/As hadnt showed up yet, oh well. As we boarded and I passed by the flight deck door I decided I just had to go up to the 'pit and chat with th…

Hi everyone,I got this idea earlier today and I would like to share it with you too. I realised that if we could make Wilco publish 767PIC's gauges in open source the future freeware developements for this fantastic product could make it even more realistic that it already is. Open source would give us endless list of possibilities to customize 767PIC even furher. What about making a 757 version of it's FMC? What about including missing overhead elements and adding more features to the already best FMC for MSFS?I'm sure that there are talented enough programmers and enough knowledge in the PIC community to add new features and options and to continue the development of th…

Why is it after 3 to 4 hours flying on the auto-pilot, does the wonderful PIC B767 aircraft suffer from total electronic shutdown? What am I doing wrong. All my PIC failures are disabled, and realsim is set to easy, as I am still learning how to fly this wonderful plane. This is about the 10th time I have had this, and it is beginning to really tick me off ! it was so bad today, as I couldn't re-start the engines, so I had to revert to my PSS B744 on my final leg from KSFO to KLAX.Many thanks and Best Wishes to all,ChrisEGBBWin XP AMD 2100 XP, geforce4 4600 TiDirectx 9.0

Hi all, my first post but I have been looking at the forum for sometime now and it has been a wealth of information so I am sure you will be able to help....but first a little background.I have been using PIC for some years and have many sim hours with the program and FS, I was even lucky enough to spend a few magnificent hours in a real sim at United airlines recently (absolutely mind blowing and a little more responsive than our PC's!!), anyway I recently added a 2nd monitor to my system and have the SB window running in it with the throttle quadrant when flying on VATSIM, I was on a hands on final to ORD the other night and while trying to type a message to the control…

Hi folks, never post here, I'm looking for some pictures and it was suggested I post here. Forgive me if this breaks the PIC forum rules.I'm looking for Close up pictures of the Pitots and static ports of a B757. And I mean real close and from several angles if possible. I'm helping a group of folk make a freeware 757, and it was suggested 3d pitots would be a nice touch. If anyone has or can make some photos and send them to me, I would be greatly appreciated.Technical schematics would also do.I'm a graphic artist and I would lend my skills as a thankyou.Be that a website desing, Re-paint, Livery design etc.My main e-mail is:[email protected] you …

Is this the way the real-life B767 works? When I fly an A/P ILS approach, at one point all three autopilots activate automatically, although I only manually activated one.If this is not the way the real plane works, how do I disable the 3 autopilot auto engage feature on the PIC panel?Thank you in advance,Kerke (KMIA) :-wave---

After watching the Air DO WorldAirSeries about the 767 I came up with a question.. It came to my attention that the 'load' times of the real 767 FMS are quite longer than in the PIC fmc. Pressing the legs page could take up to 2 secs(maybe longer?) to load. (screen is black while loading)Is it possible to tweak the software in a way that it takes about the same time to display a page in the 767 fmc too ? Making things realistic is copying the less-popular thing too isn't it ?Thanks for running your thoughts on this
