Hello all. I'm new to the forum, however, I'm an experienced sim-pilot with log hours dating back to when MS first came out with the 'green' screen & polygon graphics flight simulator....ahh, the good ol' days...lol. Anyways:Question: Engine out procedures, specifically when taking-off and/or when on approach. I seem to frequently crash when practicing such procedures and my virtual passengers are getting tired of this. Could someone tell what the proper procedures are or provide a web page in which I could read up on the subject? Currently, when landing with one engine, I experience severe yaw and have little to no aileron/rudder athority. I suspect that I must be mu…

Hey All,I have not stopped playing around with the view, and have been constantly evaluating it and getting feedback from 57/67 pilots. I was on a flight from the West Coast a couple of weeks ago. The captain was nice enough to take a "mental snapshot" of the runway perspective. Both pilots agreed that the perspective in my first product was too shallow, making the aircraft appear lower than it should. Alas... 1.0 seems to be the best ZOOM setting for the VFR/LANDING View after all. Also, many of you found the view too low, and many found the SHIFT + 5 view pretty useless. So... going off of one of Capt BBall's pics that I used for comparison, I've come up with a compromi…

HiI've just downloaded a Posky 763 in a different livery to the one I usually fly. I want to use Lees merge file on this one as well. Do I need to go through the whole thing again or is there a way I can just add the new textures to the existing aircraft, so they both appear in the drop down menu? Thanks for any helpPaul

Question for you all:I us a coporate flight planner and Metric is the measurement of choice for me because I do alot of flying in Europe and overseas. Do our RW pilots find that metric is more widely used as opposed to US mesurements? If so, why does the US still use Lbs when refering to fuel mesurements instead of kilos?Just wondering

Yesteday Randy was kind enough to supply me with a link to PIC/POSKY merge files, which I promptly downloaded. Inspired by the success, I ventured on a downloading spree eventually ending up with 324MB of zipped files on my HD. Was I proud of myself or wot :)For the positive side of things: The merge files worked, once I got my head around it, and all my POSKY aircraft now behaves like PIC. Frame rates went up, up, up. The pride went with the frame rates, it should be added. I recently received London Airports, where LHR especially is rather impressive. Well, being on a roll I proceeded to install AI Traffic and went ahead changing all AI flights to "real" flights, using …

Hi Wade or Laurent,Could either of you please contact me at: [email protected]'m building a home cockpit, where I'd need to know IF FSUIPC has any variables defined for PICs autopilot (and other systems). The FSBUS implementation is working fine now with keyboard assignments, but direct FSUIPC access would be much more reliable and faster for external hardware.Thank you for your assistance!regards,Terops. here's a pic of my current MCP panel, with correct layout (there's one extra though, can you find it? :))

I am reading the Mike Ray 767 book and have a question about go arounds. I know you want to pitch at approx 15 degrees and add full thrust, what puzzles me is what speed are you shooting for. Say I am executing the miss to 3000'. According to Mike I should stay at my configuration ( flaps 20, gear up of course ) to the MAP altitude at bug speed. Is this bug speed for VREF 30 + ? or VREF 20? He says " Bug in, Bug out..so it sounds like VREF30. Just puzzled. Thanks in advance, it is great to have the pros on here to learn how it is done out on the line!Happy Holidays!

Hi guys, Do you approach with A/T on or off? I know in real life operations, most pilots (at least the ones I know) usually have the Autothrottle turned on. In FS, I approach with the Autopilot turned off because in SPD mode, it tends to hold the speed even long after touchdown. Strange. heheAny help would be appreciated! thanks! :-wavehttp://www.mydestiny.net/~michael8/genavbanner.gif

Hi everyoneI have read about the PIC 767 on here and then decided to give it a whirl, I went down to Radio Shack they had it in the boxed-version there. So I bought it brought it back home, installation went well, got the patch at Wilco's site and the loaded up FS2002 and BANG.My framerates in this panel wont go above 5...PIII 866Mhz256mb-ramgeforce 2 mx 400 64MB... When flying it, extremely unrealistic.. is it expected to do this to frames? Like its 20-40 fps in the Cessna panel.-Shane

Hi I know the 767 has escape slides for each door (I hope ;)) except for the wing exit. The 747 and some other aircraft have a system where the slides open automatically when the doors are armed. Is this system on the 767?? I never noticed anything in the cockpit to arm the doors, is it just that the 767 does not have it or is it controlled by the flight crew in the back of the plane? Thank You.:-wave

  24. Guys, i've been experimenting with your views and trying to get landing lights. This is extremely frustrating (I know you DONT'T include landing light in your views). The only way to get lights is in the minipanel view. Which is configured like the default 2D view, so you can not change the viewpoint without altering the 2D view. What I think would help me is to duplicate the forward view (a second one) with different viewpoiint and using it for VFR view. The reason I write you is to understand what you have done so far. I saw a post from randy where he was a VFR view, with landing lights and rain. Is that the minipanel view? I have not been able to create a second (dupli…

So, Now there's a Wilco forum. Is there any one from Wilco's staff there to answer questions, or is it a free-for-all? Should questions regarding PIC installation, smooth operation etc. be fielded in the Wilco forum? I'm sensing that the Wilco forum will turn into nothing but flames of anger at Wilco's poor customer support.Just some thoughts...Later,Neil
