Does everyone who is using 767 PIC with the latest patches etc have the pushback option not available to them in FS2002 in the PIC menu?I never have a pushback option even though there is no external power or anything connected to the aircraft. Was the pushback feature in PIC just for FS 2000 ? I realise that FS2002 has its own pushback feature but I still can't turn it during the pushback on my laptop. Thanks BARGE

Hi guys, Been busy for some time, What's this buzz about a new patch? :) Oh, also "moved" to Boston in FS -- Are there any airlines based/hubbed in KBOS that operate B767-200/300's? Which airline operates the most direct flights to other US destinations on the east coast from Boston?thanks guys! really appreciate it :-wavehttp://www.mydestiny.net/~michael8/genavbanner.gif

Just how do I actually enter the Zero Fuel Weight into the program or FS so that it flys and performs according to that weight? I am not talking about the FMC. I know that I have to enter it in the FMC which is fine, but when I enter it (ZFW) into the FMC will the aircraft act like it has this amount of weight on it. (obviously sim specific) If not where do I have to enter the ZFW so that it performs according to that weight???Also when loading the Fuel from the Fuel menu can I change it to Kilograms instead of pounds ?? I don't seem to be able to.ThanksBARGE

Lets say I'm using a POSKY aircraft with the PIC panel, instead of seeing the default views when I look left/right can I set up my PIC panel to give me wing views?

I see that there is a link to most of the SIDs, STARs, and approaches for the US for use in PIC767 FMC. However, I am just wondering, aside from the large amount of disk space, would having all these procedures have an effect on frame rates, loading, RAM used etc while flying? On a related subject, I recall that someone had created a program that swaps only those selected database files needed into the FMWCP folder and keeps the others somewhere else to help speed up these operations. However, I cannot find the name of it or a link in this forum, does anyone know where it is (and should I use it)? Thanks for your help.Damon

Well, got that patch from Wilco and here's three things I've found (credits to the people who found the first two). All with the PICPOSKY v3 merge. 1. Entry doors message on EICAS.2. APU opens/closes depending on the APU switch position. 3. Fuel imbalances seem very small, almost non-existant.

Hi.I`ve had to reinstall PIC into FS2002 and the aircraft show with pieces missing, wheels, tail fin, and I remember from when I first installed it there was a fix for it.Can anyone remember what it was?Something to do with "scenery" I think.Eddie

Please can someone help me on this:I download a SID or STAR file (type WSD) from the Navdata site,then>>SIDs/STARs Database>>767PIC, and when I open it,instead of a diagram,I get a few lines of text. The program which opens the file is Notepad (not my choice,it simply happens). What can I do,please.Besides, where in that site can I find ILS,VOR,etc approach plates? Thanks.Carlo Ferrando

I'm currently using the latest Merge from Ilh but I have noticed that it takes for ever to startup the engines. when I say for ever I mean 10 minutes per engine. All I did was shut down the engines after a flight then saved and exited fs2002. When I loaded fs2002 later on that night and try to start the engines is when the problem arrived. The engines sound like they are starting up but the sound stops and starts again and goes on for ever until they finally start up. Any comments on this?

Hello-I am considering purchasing a flight yoke to use mainly with 767 PIC, and am wondering which one I should purchase. Any recommendations? I am running Windows XP with MS FS2002. Thanks for any suggestions.

I never noticed this before, on page 108 of the manual there is a picture of the flight control indicators on the eicas status page, and below the elev indicator is a digital readout of stab position. The thing that is odd is that I dont ever remember seeing this on my status page, was this something removed by one of the patches? does anyone have this indication on their panel? Also I have never seen this on our 757's , possibly just an option for the 767?, it will be late december before Im on a 757 again to confirm this ,and I can see nothing in the op's manual about this.

In my effort to make my PIC experience even more realistic, I am looking for suggestions on other purchases to make in terms of software. I am considering Flight Deck Companion, but don't know enough about it. What about flight planning software? The built-in MS planner does a pretty lousy job selecting flight paths based on reality. Any suggestions? Thanks!

hello guys! could you give me a little idea of what OS is the best for MSFS? i'm currently useing Windows ME, and planning to reinstall this few days. Does Windows XP better than ME in case of running performance for FS2002? and i always have a problem of running Activesky 1.5, after 2 hours, it fails to continue but left a messgare of runtime error overflow....i'm wondering this related to Windows ME. Any short idea would be helpful!

Hi everyone,I am only new to PIC but find it terrific. However, I have a few questions. What is this POSKY thing that everyone is talking about, and, where do I find it, and is it worth it ??Is there some way I can turn on the WX radar or is there no weather radar in PIC. I think that it would be much more realistic ??Thirdly, can I push back using FS2002 and actually turn as in FS2000. I can pushback but I can't turn. Also even thought there is no external power or anything selected there is no pushback option in the PIC box at the top of the page????? I currently am using Shift P to pushback and not from the PIC menu which I want to access. And I think that I have some c…

For those that may be interested in the formulas for Turn radius based on speed and bank angle. I answered an earlier post but it did not come to the head of the forum for some reason.Presume you are in an aircraft conducting a circling approach at 100 kias at an airport with a field elevation of 2,500 feet MSL, and maintaining a constant standard-rate turn, you will be flying a circle which is 1.05nm in diameter. Example on the numbers:KTAS=IAS*(1+(.02*ALTITUDE IN FEET/1000))KTAS=105D=KTAS/100D=1.05 NMBA=Bank angleBA=TAS*.15orBA=((TAS*.10) + (TAS*.10)/2)Presume you are flying at 140 kts21=140*.15or14=(TAS*.10)7=14/221=7+14This information comes from an article in AVWEB f…

I have been having this reoccuring problem with PIC fmc in posky 767 and the 757. It seem that the fmc works great to about half way through a flight, and when brought up, after the half way point, it lock ups the complete program. Need some advice! Thanks jim

Hi, someone here must know the formular for turn radius base on airspeed and bank angle? I think it'll be really helpful for approaches.

Earlier this year, I found a lot of SID/STARS for PICS 767 FMC but I dont remember the link. Can somebody help me?

Greetings,I was just wondering if their was any new "dispatch" software that could use FSNAV (or other) DATA, combine that with weights, and produce a US style flightplan... like the 767dispatch program did with "Sword" style flightplans. I imagine it can't be that difficult to do. Especially considering the excellent Excel-based programs that are available! Thanks.Sincerely,Phil Geddes

hiHow to indicate a number right in "AVG WND DIR" and also "AVG WND SPD" for a very long flight?I use FSMETEO (online) which can indicate with the flight plan of FS; the wind, its direction, its force and calculate the deviations of course, the ground speeds etc. by segment But it cannot calculate the average. Would somebody be to do that? that would make it possible to have a figure almost right has to enter TRIP DATASORRY FOR MY ENGLISH

Be carefull when updating Jeppesen Flitestar to version 8.51 using the data-update disk. After that update, Peter Dowson's FStarRC program is not functioning properly anymore (at least in my system)... :-eekIF you update, make sure that you have a backup of your old Flitestarversion for security.
